when printing in view ports, wipeouts don't show. wipeouts are transparent.
ive tried copying the same wipeout lineweights and pasting it in new documents but have no problems there. i've tried re saving under a brand new document but still no luck. apparently it's only happening in the same 2 documents.
I am drawing in autocad in 2d and my lines keep coming up on the z axis which i only want them to come out in x and y is there anyway to shut that off so it will no longer draw on the z axis?

Is there any option with wipeout to turn the continuous lines into dotted lines instead of hiding the object? I have been working on one staircase block, i want to show half block as a dotted lines.. is there any way to do that without going in to the block edit and change? thats why am looking for wipeout mask option.
I typically have multiple Photoshop documents open at once along with other programs. Let's say that I want to make a client's revisions. With CS5, I could have my email open and the Photoshop window I'm editing side-by-side. With CS6 and CC, when I click on the window I want to edit, ALL the photoshop windows come to the front, obscuring the email message.
Is there a way to prevent this from happening and only bring the one window I clicked on to the front? There is still an option under Window > Arrange > Bring All to Front, which wouldn't be necessary if the windows are always in front.
I seem to be having a few issues with Wipeout's and PDF's. When I PDF a drawing that contains a Wipeout, when printed, the Wipeout becomes a mass of vertical lines, and as such has the opposite effect of what I am after.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have AutoCAD 2013 (Full) and Adobe Acrobat X Pro v10.1.4 installed. I usually select ‘Adobe PDF’ as my printer instead of the standard ‘DWG To PDF.pc3’ which comes with AutoCAD and everything works fine. However on some particular drawings I have, when I print using the ‘Adobe PDF’ nothing comes out, it’s just a blank PDF. If I select the standard ‘DWG To PDF.pc3’ printer, it prints fine.
These particular drawings do have one missing Plot Style so maybe that has something to do with it? If so how do I remove that Plot Style completely so it’s not required anymore?
For some reason, GIMP is putting straight lines off of any line I draw (paintbrush, ink or pencil) and while it's pretty cool, I'd like to be able to draw properly.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI have AutoCAD 2012 and when printing to PDF on this drawing only it’s coming out blank (nothing in the PDF). All my other drawings work fine.
The plot preview seems to be fine also as I can see the drawing OK. Also It takes a lot longer to print on this drawing. It seems to hang around for about 30 secs and then produces a blank PDF.
I noticed a plot style pen missing which may cause the problem?

we get rasterized diagonal lines when printing from AutoCAD on that Printer in A0 format, straight lines are ok.
Printing FIRST to an PDF printer an THEN to the T520 ist also ok (this is what the customer currently does and the quality is good). Got some suggestions from a local ACAD dealer (max. details in the printer driver) but no success ...
We have recently upgraded from AutoCAD 2010 and are having an issue with our wipeouts not displaying properly when we make a pdf using DWG to PDF in AutoCAD 2013.
It seems to happen when a wipeout is in an XREF and has many points, such as if you are trying to make it circular. The wipeout does not seem to function (you can see everything behind it).
When making a pdf using adobe or just making a .plt using a printer driver it displays properly but not with the dwg to pdf. I have tinkered with the display order, the display settings, the merge control setting, etc. so far nothing has worked. I have gone into the file that is XREF'ed into my active drawing and made a pdf from there and it looks ok but not when it is XREF'ed into another drawing. I have many blocks that have "circular" wipeouts in them that are not displaying correctly.
i have a question about wipeouts. I have just upgraded to acad 2014 from 2011. Now in 2014, I can turn off wipeout frames, but if my mouse crosses over one, it highlights so I can select it. How do i turn that off? I don't want the frame to highlight unless i select it.

This sets the visiblity of the farmes within the drawing to off however when plotting the frames are visible on the print.
Been a while since I have used wipeout, not sure if this is a system bug or there is some other variable I have forgotten that will set frames to not plot ?

ACAD 2012 Wipeouts will work although in the PDF To DWG.pc3 settings "line merge" is activated. But with ACAD 2013 this is not the case, why?

I'm placing some length dimensions on partial sections of a circle and the arc dimension comes straight out from the chosen points as a dimension of a flat line does. I would like it to look like an angular dimension without having to use a text override. Is there any way to change that to where the placed dimension lines follows the edges of the section instead of coming straight out?

View 3 Replies View RelatedHow can I get multiple images on 1 page to line up when printing on both sides? Dimensions are 3.5x2.5, 9 to a page. They are sportscards for son's baseball team. They are slightly off by 2-3 cm on all 4 sides and in betweeen. Extremely frustrating. I tried printing in Photoshops but text is blurry. In Lightroom, Images look absolutely perfect. If they would only line up. Using a Canon MG 6200 if that matters.

I brought a pdf into Illustrator and I want to draw a line over a portion of that pdf, but when I draw the line it appears to place it behind the pdf - obscuring portions of the line. I have tried selecting the new line and bringing it to the front or selecting the pdf and sending it to the back without any success.
I'm having an issue with block selection menu not coming up- specifically when inserting a new block. When I click the icon, the menu flickers but then disappers. If I click anywhere on my screen, I get a error noise as if the menu is open and I have to press esc to be able to function CAD again. The same error happens when I want to print when I click "edit page setup" nothing shows up, yet I get the error noise as if it is up but nothing is there. All of this worked at one time, but when I was trying to create a new block, somehow I must have turned something off.

I have created a 'Title Block' family which I am wanting to use as a 'drawing stamp', being used to mark an existing drawing sheet carried forward to another phase of the project as being from the previous phase. To do this I have created a filled region with an opaque white background and a grey border (gray) to form the extent of the 'stamp'. I have then created a number of labels for the relevant information and added some lines as borders to the labels.
The problem comes when it is used on a project sheet since the label border lines do not appear. Since the commands to 'send to the back' or 'bring to the front' are absent when editing a title block I wonder why this is? Logic suggests that the only workaround is to create a number of filled regions, in jigsaw style, one for each label and to use their borders as the label borders. However, this seems an enormously long winded an probably kilobyte hungry way of achieving something that should possibly be very simple. I have to say that it may also have an easy solution that I may have used before but forgotten.
What i'm trying to do is cut multiple circles in half (45° angle), i know that i need first "outline stroke" to make the circle lines into object (i think it's called). I have used "offset path" to get more of these lines.
I was told that if i want to cut the other half of the circle i need to use pathfinder, but everytime i use the "minus front" option, it leaves me with only on half circle while i mad 2 circles, the second circle disapppeard. How can i cut both circles in one go. (is there a way to combine these circles (not grouping))
I get the "Standards - Violation Found" dialog box coming up only after I delete an object.The previous operation created an object that does not comply with standards, What do you want to do? Choose a standard object? Keep the nonstandard object? The object (dimension) was created correctly but when deleted I get the warning.

The printed A1 page reflects the 'Print Preview' image.Objects are 3D solids, with clipped images positioned on the front of them.It was quicker that way, rather than ripping my hair out after trying to tile in a program without any UVW modifiers.It's like the printed viewport reverts to parallel projection, while I want it to be in perspective projection instead.
