I have a problem with Merge To HDR and also photomerge. The issue appears to have the same cause. Basically what happens is as follows:
1. Open Photoshop 2. Goto File->Automate->Merge To HDR Pro 3. Dialog box appears. 4. I select the files stored on HDD 5. Click OK
And then nothing happens... No screen appears, no progress bar, no dialog box of any kind. Photoshop continues to work fine as if I had just opened it.
The other issue is even more strange.
1. Open Photoshop 2. Open the files that I wish to merge (saved on the HDD) 2. Goto File->Automate->Merge To HDR Pro 3. Dialog box appears. 4. I select the 'Add open files' option 5. Dialog box appears telling me that the files must be saved before they can be merged.
The exact same issues occur with Photomerge as well.
I am using a 15" MacBook Pro (Early 2011) with 4GB RAM, 500GB HDD (100 GB free), 2GHz i7 processor. Currently running OSX Lion 10.7.2. My current Photoshop version is 12.0.4 and I am running it on 64 bit (although have tried in 32bit mode).
My Photoshop CS4 and CS5 shows "Photoshop has stopped working" . Whereas I have Windows 7 64bit, 6GB RAM, 512MB Graphics Card.
Earlier I worked in this version. But after formating my conputer I could not do anything with only in Photoshop. First I installed Photoshop CS4 it was failed to work then install Photoshop CS5..It also failed to work.
I updated Photoshop CC about 7 days ago. Before that it worked fine, since then I have been using Photoshop CS6 for some work (CC left it there when it installed) but yesterday I wanted to go to Photoshop CC from Lightroom 5.2 and Photoshop CC hung. Rebooted computer and tried to open Photoshop CC but it crashes on initialization.
As interim measure I installed PS CS6 as an optional external editor in Lightroom, but I would like to use Photoshop CC again one day!
Yesterday, I tried to start up Photoshop, but it got halfway through initializing and stopped, flashing a message: "Adobe Photoshop CS5.1 has stopped working." I shut down the computer and tried again, but it repeated three or four times.
So I uninstalled the program. Upon reinstallation, installation failed and the computer said: "Your installation encountered errors. Please try restarting your system and installing again. Exit Code: 20."
I have been using my program since June without issue. Suddenly it stopped working. I can open the program but it will not create a new file or open an existing file. If I "open with" from windows explorer it won't open either. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program and I'm still not having any luck.
I get an error message from windows vista premiumm home.
It just says: Adobe Photoshop CS3 has stopped working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available. The only option is a box that says "close program". Once you close it everything goes away. It doesn't even give you a hint of what the problem could be. I installed creative suite 3 web premium on this brand new computer about 2 weeks ago. This is a first time install of this software, but when I called Adobe they said they don't offer free installation help anymore on cs3 because cs4 is out now. Anyone have a clue what I should do? I can't just uninstall photoshop, if I try it wants to uninstall all 8 programs.
I am working on a floor plan in CS5 Photoshop. Just basically tracing over an original document and erasing what I trace over. I do this all the time and it has been working fine.
But now the eraser won't work at all. When i turn off all the layers except the background layer I can erase things, but then when I turn the layers back on, it doesn't show up erased. I've tried resetting the tool and that didn't work. I'm so confused as to why it just stopped working.
i'm getting the error shown in subject. view details indicates problem with cooltype.dll. error started immediately after i activated a font in suitcase fusion 3. i was able to run photoshop 32bit to finish job. i deactivated font in suitcase and restarted computer. suitcase is not running but i still cannot run photoshop. what can i do to fix??
My CS5 was working fine yesterday. Today, it abruptly stopped (error message states photoshop stopped working and must shut down.) I reopened both times and same thing happened.
Downloaded PS CS6 from Application Manager. Download and install seemed to go fine, but I can't start the program. Have downloaded and re-installed numerous times, and removed the previous installation before that.
My OS is Windows 7. I have had Adobe software installed, but removed (tried at least) everything when trying to get this work. Photoshop CS5 worked fine on this same setup. I get Windows error message when trying to start the program, and with problem details like this:
Had to replace the hard drive on my iMac. I use Time Capsule and when the new hard drive was installed had Time Capsule bring all my applications and files back. It seems to be working with all other files and apps.
But when I tried to use Photoshop CS 4 I received error message suggesting I restart the MAC which I did. Then got the same error message when I tried to open Photoshop. It said if restarting doesn't work go to Adobe.
I suspect the installation of Canon Pixma Printer software may have trashed Adobe components, is there an easy way to repair/reinstall just that part? I have the CS6 Master Collection and don't want to reinstall the whole shebang.
I am trying to run Photoshop CS5 on Windows 7 64bit. Everytime I open the program, I get an error saying "Adobe Photoshop CS5 has stopped working", immediately after the splash screen goes away and the main gui opens. The only option on the error is "Close Program".
I am on a computer with an i7 processor and 12GB of memory. I have two Nvidia GTS 250 video cards, running four monitors.
Over the course of the last day, I have reformatted my computer, and reinstalled Windows twice. I have reinstalled the CS5 Master Suite more times than I can remember. I have also downloaded and installed the latest video card drivers from Nvidia.
I continue to have the same problem every time I try to open any of the programs in the CS5 suite. The only time I have come close to getting it to work was immediately after installing the new Nvidia drivers, before restarting my computer. I was able to open it one time without it crashing, Once I restarted my computer, Photoshop continued to give me the same error every time I try to open it.
I have no other software installed on my computer. It is a brand new installation of Windows 7.I have been on the phone with Adobe technical suuport for about an hour and a half, and I have yet to get a single suggestion other than attempting an install with my network cable unplugged. Other than that, they seem to be fond of transfering me back and forth between departments (and asking me to repeat all of my information every time).
One day I could print but the next I get "Adobe CS6 has stopped working, Windows is looking for a solution". I have tried re-installing, up-dating drivers, clearin preferences etc but without success!
I was using my photoshop cs6 extended for about two months and it was working good,no problems. Then i stopped using it for about 3 months and today when i decided to use it again-it's stopped working. When i press on Photoshop.exe-nothing happens.Nothing at all,no errors, just nothing and photoshop won't open. All other .exe programs works good.
i cannot access photoshop while accessing it from the start menu shortcut .it says adobe cs5 has stopped working. But can access it through bridge without the filters.
I have been using PS CS4 for more than 3 years. However, in the past few months, PS CS4 keeps popping up Error:150:30 indicating Licensing for this product has stopped working.
When this error came up, I used to closed and re-launch the program or restart the computer and the error will go away. But not this time. I have been trying to used CS4 for the past few days and failed.
I just reinstalled Photoshop CS5 Extended onto my new computer. I had it running before but I got a new hard drive. I am still running Windows 7 32 Bit. Seemed to install. When I opened up Photoshop and tried to open a new document or open and existing photo I got this message: "Adobe Photoshop CS5 has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."
I know it's not an opacity, blending, or wrong layer issue. It just stopped working about a week ago.setting got changed accidentally, and even when I shut down my computer and restart, it still doesn't work.
I have Lightroom 4, Photoshop CS6 and am trying to edit a photograph in Photoshop using liquify. I did a test on a jpeg photo the night before and it worked just fine, I was able to maniplulate the file. However last night when I tried to edit a file from lightroom or any jpeg file now with liquify it doesn't do anything. An example of this is that when I open the same jpeg as I did the night beofre and select for example the hand tool nothing happens to the image as I pull on parts of the image. I have changed the brush size and the pressure settings but no change.
I am working with a new system running win 7 pro with all the latest updates. I just purchased CS5.5 Web Premium and installed it. DW and AI are working but I cannot get PS to stay up long enough to do anything at all before I get the "Photoshop has stopped working ... " message as described here for ID. It sound very much like the same bug. I have both the 64bit and the 32 bit versions and they both behave exactly the same.
I have been using Adobe Photoshop CS3 for a couple of years and for the most part haven't had any problems. However, when I tried to run the program today, the message "Adobe Photoshop CS3 has stopped working. Windows can check online for a solution to the problem." popped up, and I could not run Photoshop.
(It also listed information for the Exception Code, Exception Offset, OS Version, Locale ID, and four different kinds of Additional Information, which I have not listed here).
I also suspect that I'm having the same problem with all of my other Adobe software (I have Adobe Creative Suite 3 Web Premium), since I am getting similar error messages for Adobe Illustrator CS3, and Adobe Dreamweaver CS3 will not open at all and does not even display an error message.
Five hours ago I installed Photoshop CS5 extended and it was working fine. I had been using clone stamp just fine. Now suddenly it won't clone anything. I'm using Windows 7. I've tried resetting the tool, that doesn't do anything.
I'm having a problem with my Bridge. As soon as I attempt to open I recieve an Error message "Adobe Bridge has stopped working" (it won't even open). I'm running Vista and I've never had this problem. I recently added a printer drive for Epson r-1800.
