View 3 RepliesI have recently updated my Mac to version 10.7.5 and now Photoshop Elements 4 will not open. I uninstalled and reinstalled and it shows message
"You can't open the application HFSTest because PowerPC applications are no longer supported" so I can get no further.
Having paid for this software and used it on my Mac previous version, I want to open and use it now.
I get the 'can't open the app because PowerPC apps are no longer supported. I went to support and ran the script that was recommended. And I confirmed that com.apple.LaunchServices.plist is no longer in my pref file.
View 1 Replies View RelatedJust recently I tried to open my Photoshop CS2 and received a message saying cannot open no longer supported by PowerPC. What does this mean? Is this version officially defunct? If so what can I do so I won't have to buy Creative Suite again.
View 2 Replies View RelatedBought Elements 4 in 2007 for my previous Power Mac and now just upgraded to a Macbook Pro and the program won't install . Get the message that this version no longer supported for new the Intel Chip Macs. I know the version is old but worked perfectly well for my purposes.
So do I just chuck that money away and fork out for another prologize? What is the next version?
Okay so LDD 09 will no longer be supported by why do we get a new version included with C3D 2013?The install package is larger than the original so there are some differences.
View 8 Replies View Related it crashes all the time. Currently, my issue is on my laptop. I have deadlines and it crashes at least 5-10 times per hour. Nearly every time I try to "save as" it will crash. This isn't specific to one file. The same crash happens when I try to open new files many times.
This also isn't just in Photoshop. It happens in In-Design, Illustrator, and Premiere as well. I'm sure if I was working on projects in the other CC programs, the same would happen. WHAT HAS CHANGED TO CAUSE THIS? There is never an error message.
What can I do to get this fixed?
How do I load my CS3 applications? This is the screen I get when I try to load my CS3 applications right after I have downloaded and activated the product. I do not know how to fix this.

View 2 Replies View RelatedThe crashing started with the Retina update for Photoshop and Illustrator. At first the occasional crash happend, but now it's doing it litreally every 2 minutes! I don't think its a problem with my system since the issue started as soon as I got the Retina update and I've had no issues prior. I have the 2.3GHz Intel Core i7, 8GB 1600MHz RAM, Retina Macbook Pro with OS X version 10.8.2. I'm not sure if all of the Adobe applications are affected, but I know Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign are.
This is part of the "Problem Details" window that popped up after crashing:

View 1 Replies View RelatedAnything edited in photoshop appears different when viewed in another application. For example, I edit a photo in CS3, and then view it in Firefox - it is muted, the colors are drab examples of the bright hues displayed in Photoshop. If I bring anything done in photoshop into The Gimp, Polyview, or anything else I can think of, they all look identical in those other apps, they only appear different when compared against what an image looks like in Photoshop. I first noticed when uploading an image to Flickr, it looked great in Photoshop, and dramatically drab when uploaded. I then started doing some investigative work and discovered the system wide behavior. I'm a little stumped. Similarly, anything created in Gimp brought into CS3 looks different, it appears darker in CS3.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've been using PSE 10 for a while on my OX S Mac. Processor 2.4 GHz intel core 2 duo, Memory 2 GB 1067 MHz DDR3, software 10.8.2.
It was not slow before but know it freezes up so much that it becomes nearly inoperable. I checked my memory and I have plenty of space. I shut down all the other applications. I boosted up the amount of RAM PSE can use. I decreased the amount of undo states PSE can keep. But even with all that, it still was slow. So I uninstalled it and reinstalled it, and that didn't fix the problem either.
I can cut and paste within Photoshop CC, but can't paste to Illustrator CC or Word; clipboard appears to be empty. Everything works fine with PS CS6.
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy color settings are synchronized across all CS applications. I'm trying to see document both as a soft proof and not. Neither mode improves the color differences I'm seeing on screen. Photoshop displays color TOTALLY differently from all other CS applications: Bridge, InDesign, Illustrator & Acrobat.
In the image below, Indesign is on the left. Photoshop is on the right. Image appears in Bridge, Acrobat and Illustrator just like InDesign.
I am trying to work with my previous Photoshop files I created last night on CS5.5 and Suitcase Fusion 4. All my loaded and active fonts are not active in Photoshop. How do i get my fonts to be activated in my adobe applications?
View 8 Replies View RelatedI installed Photoshop CC and Illustrator CC on my laptop. I customized all my settings like keyboard shortcuts, tool panels, brushes and so on. However, now I'm trying to sync with my desktop computer and everytime it asks me if I want to keep local or remote settings, I choose, as indicated by your tutorial video, "keep remote" settings. But it not only doesn't work, as also replaces my settings in the cloud with the ones from the computer I'm trying to sync (which are the default settings.)
I also tried to find this feature for Indesign CC, but I could find.
I need to create some "generic" backgrounds to be used in other applications (InDesign, Illustrator) that can be specified to certain CMYK percentages.
In Photoshop, I create a file in RGB and using the default B&W, render clouds. Then I use various filters and create the backgrounds I want. I convert these backgrounds to CMYK.
What I need to do is make the (converted RGB) "black" backgrounds to be specific CMYK percentages. I have tried to create an adjustment layer and then using selective color, but it's not accurate at all.
Here's my problem. From within Photoshop I get the following:
Choosing Help > Updates... gives me the:
Adobe Applications Manager
Says "Checking for Updates..." With spinning wheel below which never ends
Is my Applicaitons Manager broken?

The Upgrade to CS6 from CS5 will not open!!When I try to open I get the Message "Componets missing from applications directory. Please reinstall" I did five Times with the same results
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have installed CS3 and there is a lot of 'junk' that I don't want and don't need.
eg; Bridge, Device Central, Cue and Acrobat Connect.
For my basic needs, all I really want is PhotoShop and Acrobat (and maybe Illustrator.)
This other 'bloat' takes up valuable disk space.
If I just deleted the abovementioned stuff, would that effect my remaining programs?
Updated Windows. Disabled antivirus. Quit all other applications. Error 1935 - an error occured during the installation of assembly component. When the installation process rolls back it deletes the DVD drive as well!!! Seems it is impossible to install this program? No matter whatI do, error 1935 every time.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently upgraded to Photoshop Elements 11. Although I can see Adobe Photoshop 11 Organizer in my applications folder I can't see the Adobe Elements 11 Editor application. I discovered that when I was trying to set up Photoshop Elements 11 Editor as an external editor for iPhoto and Photoshop Lightroom4 but can't see the application to select it. The Adobe Photoshop Elements 11 folder in ths applications folder contains a pointer to Photoshop Elements 11, a Support Files folder and and Uninstall alias. Adobe Elements 11 Organizer appears in the applications folder above this folder. So right now when I click on a photo in iPhoto and click on edit, Elements opens up but the photo does not appear in the Elements 11 Editor workspace. Could the upgrade not have installed properly or in the right folder in applications?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am trying to run 3DAAP 5.0 (URL....), which is an airport airspace analysis tool developed by the FAA (available without charge, not trying to undercut the MotherShip here) for Map 3D 2005. To no surprise it won't run on my Map 3D 2011. Is there a way to upload the ARX to be able to run on my current version? I would assume that the libraries and such, if an ARX application uses them, need updating. I am not a coding expert, but have muddled my way through updating VBA's in the past to get them to run on newer versions. The developer no longer supports it; it was a one-time financing by the FAA to get the ap developed, as far as I know.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI was led to believe that GPU acceleration features (like smooth zoom and rotate) were supported in the PS CS4 Standard edition. Under GPU Settings, Performance Preferences, it states "No GPU options available with Photoshop Standard". To me this is misleading advertising - I would have considered the Extended version if I had known.
Maybe this will help others not make the same disappointing assumption I have. I think Adobe should make this clear in the future. It really does make me feel slighted.
I'm trying to match the background color in Xara Photo Designer to the background color in a Filemaker Pro layout. When I bring up the color picker in Filemaker, I get a generic Windows screen with colors expressed in raw numbers, not percentages, but Photo Designer appears to use only percentages, no matter which color model I use. How do I convert Windows integers to Xara percentages?
