I get the 'can't open the app because PowerPC apps are no longer supported. I went to support and ran the script that was recommended. And I confirmed that com.apple.LaunchServices.plist is no longer in my pref file.

"You can't open the application HFSTest because PowerPC applications are no longer supported" so I can get no further.
Having paid for this software and used it on my Mac previous version, I want to open and use it now.
Just recently I tried to open my Photoshop CS2 and received a message saying cannot open no longer supported by PowerPC. What does this mean? Is this version officially defunct? If so what can I do so I won't have to buy Creative Suite again.

Get the message that this version no longer supported for new the Intel Chip Macs. I know the version is old but worked perfectly well for my purposes.
So do I just chuck that money away and fork out for another prologize? What is the next version?
Okay so LDD 09 will no longer be supported by why do we get a new version included with C3D 2013?The install package is larger than the original so there are some differences.

All the files are listed in WE and not empty. This happened recently after I have used the program a few years. Do I need to reinstall the program? If so, will the catalog have to be recreated? There are more than 7000 photos in the catalog. I am using Windows 7 Home Premium.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI just installed CC last night, so I haven't had a lot of time to work with the CC apps yet... Bridge has been working fine since the start for LOTS of sorting and tagging images in the last day and a half, and I've opened CameraRAW a handful of times without issue, then this evening I tried to open Photoshop CC for the first time and got a whole lot of strange messages about expired trials and activation problems and other errors and then it crashed... At first I think my internet security software was maybe interfering with Photoshop's attempts to confirm licensing online, but I seem to have gotten that sorted out ... so I no longer get all the weird licensing errors, but right after Photoshop loads I very quickly get the "Photoshop has quit working" error and it crashes. After experiencing this issue I went and tried all my other CC apps and Premiere, Illustrator, InDesign, Bridge all seem fine... just Photoshop is giving me issues.
I already tried "signing out" and signing back in to CC apps.
I am using CC on Windows 7 pro. I previously have had Master Collection CS3 and CS5 installed on this computer... but I de-installed these entirely before installing any new apps. I had some errors in de-installing CS3 so I used the Adobe Cleaner Tool to ensure that CS5 and CS3 had been completely de-installed before starting fresh with CC. I don't expect this previous software is causing any issues, but I figured I'd give a complete account of my situation.

(Win) workstations with full CS6 or CC and C4D. If you own (or freelance at places with) decent spec HP Z820 20-30+GB RAM etc would you normally have AI, PS, AE & Cinema 4D open at the same time on Windows?
If yes, do you often get windows redraw issues? do you change your CPU, RAM allocation etc settings for the task you're doing or just leave it the same as you would if you were just running AE & a web browser,
Some weeks ago, I posted about my inability to install SP3 -- (a host of) Error 1310 messages, related to permissions to access certain folders, according to the on-screen messages.
Last night, for the first time, I could not open Draw at all -- there was a pause while the PC tried to open it, then an useful message box that reported that a "problem" had caused Draw to stop working, and that I should close the program.
Trying to open all other X5 suite apps is similarly unsuccessful, though none produces that particular error box.
I tried to repair the installation. No go. More Error 1310 messages.
I tried to reinstall SP2, the last patch that actually worked for me. Error 1310.
I tried to uninstall the suite. Not allowed. Error 1310.
I then tried a series of steps to correct the access errors causing the 1310 messages. I tried unregistering/registering the msiserver; deleting or renaming the "Config.msi" folder to which the errors referred, hoping the newly created folder would not have the issue. I made sure I had administrator privileges (the 1310 error alleges that the user does not have access to the given folders). I did everything I could find online. No effect.
So, at the moment, I can't open, repair, update, or uninstall the Draw X5 suite. Short of wiping the hard drive (I don't have issues when I try to uninstall other apps), is there anything I can do?
I know this is a Windows issue, but with that "A problem has caused Draw to stop working" error message.
I've used CS5Extended and ACR for NEF images. I just switched to more recent PC, downloading PS, and it won't open NEF files, saying "camera model not supported by installed version of Camera Raw." It had no problem with my D800 on the previous PC. What do do?

I just reinstalled PSE12 and LR5 and cannot open raw files in PSE12. The error message says my camera is not supported. Im using a Canon 70D, my raw format is CR2, and Elements tells my my Camera Raw plug-in is Version 8.

After recently installing Corel Draw 12 we discivered we could not open our existing .cdr files. It would make sense if we were trying to open V:12 files with an V:5 but it seems like V:12 should support V;5 .cdr files.
View 9 Replies View RelatedWe have an iMac workstation here running Premiere that will not open projects or import clips. Here's the sequence of events that led to this:
1. Premiere was locking up on the splash screen whenever it got to "ImporterQuicktime.bundle". I tried trashing preferences and launching with plug-ins disabled and received the same freeze. Based on forum recommendations I removed "ImporterQuicktime.bundle" and "ExporterQuickTimeHost.bundle" from the plug-ins folder inside the package. The software launched fine - but none of the Quicktime files in the project were working. So I then took copies of the above 2 files from the iMac next to this one, with the exact same configuration, and pasted them into the plug-ins folder. Since then - launching the software has generated the below errors.
2. Attempting to open any project gives a long error that starts as: The preset used by one or more sequences in this project requires third-party components that could not be located.
3. Starting a new project and attempting to drag any Quicktime ProRes media into the project gives the error: File Format not supported.
I have trashed the preferences, re-installed the Pro Apps Quicktime Codecs, de-authorized the computer and re-authorized it, and upgraded Adobe Premiere from 7.0 to 7.2. None of which fixed the issue.
I'm thinking about trying a complete re-install of Premiere next.

I've been working on a psb file for a couple of days in CS6 and this morning the file would no longer open. I get a dialogue box that says "the file is not compatible with this version of Photoshop". I've been using the same version all along so I know this is not a version problem. My backup file has the same problem.
I can open a flattened version of the file in Illustrator CS6 but can't open a layered version. It would appear that the file has become corrupted in the layers somehow. how I might be able to fix the original psb file and resurrect the layers?
I have Nikon D60 and recently started shooting in raw when I discovered that Photoshop allows you to then edit the files to a much greater extent before converting them to .jpg.
.nef files used to open automatically in Photoshop (in a separate window, seemingly a sort of add-on designed for raw files?). Now when I try, the software tells me that they are 'the wrong kind of document'.
What's changed / broken? Or have I suddenly forgotten a vital step....?
I've tried downloading a newer version of camera raw, to no avail...
I had photoshop CS4, and it's been working fine since I've gotten it, but yesterday I started having this weird issue. I open it, it opens fine, then windows tells me photoshop has stopped working. I've restarted, re-installed and tried over and over, but it won't stay open for longer than 5 seconds. My mother gave me CS6 to replace CS4.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have recently installed the Adobe CS, and am running OS 10.3.3. I have two USB printers, one epson and one HP, that print fine with all other apps and are in my printer list and so on... But when I go to try to print from Photoshop, in the print dialog window, instead of my default printer being selected, the drop down menu says "No printer selected". When I go to try to select a printer from that drop down menu, my two printers are not there, and instead the only options are "Edit Printers list..." and "check for printer updates..".
I have tried everything I could think of... Like I said the printers are installed and working great in other apps, and the same menu in other applications shows both printers and lets me select them. Any suggestions? Is there a plugin or something that I need to put in a specific Adobe folder? Why don't the Adobe programs see the printers? Here's another weird thing: Adobe Acrobat does see the printers. And that is how I have to print my photoshop docs, save as PDF and then print.
When working on large documents, the cursor freezes for 8-10 sec when I switch from PS to another app/finder. It also happens when I switch back to PS. 8-10 sec. of complete freeze out until everything starts working again.

Why is Photoshop CC displaying images 25% smaller than my other applications? If I open a 72 ppi square pixel aspect image in Photoshop, I have to zoom to 125% for it to be the same size on screen as in my browser or any other image viewer. Photoshop reads the correct pixel sizes, but displays it smaller.
I design and build websites and have been using Photoshop for over 15 years and haven't noticed this until CC. If I save the images and build out the site, or even just drag the image into a browser and then overlay that browser window above the Photoshop window to see both images side by side, I can clearly see a 25% difference in size.
If I zoom in Photoshop to 125%, then the sizes match. So, the problem is when designing a website, everything looks smaller in photoshop. Then when I build it out, everything is way too big.
My browsers are definitely at 100% zoom and I can open the image in any other image viewer at 100% and the affect is the same. Is there a setting that can be adjusted in Photoshop to correct this?
I installed PS CC this morning and it's only seeing 4gb RAM. I opened it and closed it a couple times and it saw my 16gb once. I thought all was well until I closed it and opened it again and it was back down to 4gb.

^ I added the application Folder listed on Illustrator because I think it's great that it says my system is x86 but then but the files in to a folder named 64bit.
I'm using PS CS, and have been designing some web graphics. Got them looking good, and loaded them into Fireworks to slice up, and the colour and contract now look faded. It's the same in Imageready and Corelpaint too. Back in PS, the image looks perfect. What's going on that I don't know about?
