I created an interactive form in InDesign CC and do not like the check marks as they are not visible enough. Can I globally change the check marks to "X" marks?
View 1 RepliesOne of the features I was really looking forward to in CS6 was creating fillable forms with ONE application. I created a form following the step by step instructions in classroom in a book for CS6. When I opened the exported form in Reader X, I get a "This operation is not permitted" error. I opened the completed "end" document in the lesson to make sure I didn't commit an error, and I got the same message when exporting. I have looked for places in menus to modify security restrictions and I can't find any. I installed the updates and that didn't solve the issue.
I saw one solution posted which is to open the document in Acrobat, then do a "save as" option. Is there anything we can do that doesn't involve buying additional software? If this is not the case, then Adobe seriously needs to change its training and advertising about this functionality.
In Word you can do a search for an indefinite number of words between quotation marks. I don't see a way to do that in indesign. If I choose a wildcard character it'll give me only one character between quotation marks. I need to find anything I've put between quotes. anything from a word to a paragraph. Is there a way?????
I've found this grep code that will find any text between parentheses and it works, but I'm not smart enough to figure out how to change it to quotes.

I would like to change the standard length of Illustrator's crop marks. (I need that because I'm exporting colorseparations for silkscreaning. An as crop marks are printed *** well I would like to keep them tiny)

View 6 Replies View RelatedIn MediaStudio Pro, I was able to activate display of cue marks--that is, cues added in the .wav file would be shown in MSP. I haven't yet found out how (or if) this could be done in VSP (currently using VSP X4). This single feature contributed a LOT to a professional result, as I could easily insert cues into the .wav files, see them in the timeline, and then adjust the length of my clips to the music, when desired.
I had originally inserted cues with Adobe Audition. Here's an example: [URL] ....
If not possible, what is the correct way to describe this so I can at least request an enhancement from Corel? I'm very happy with the VSP products overall, but still trying to get some of the same functionality I lost from MSP...

Now I know you have to scoll down to print option and then from there you can check a box that says registration marks but they dont work, nothing appears. also, on that same menu, the bleed option: does that stretch the edges of the document to create a bleed or do i need to create the document that much larger to compensate for a bleed?
Is there a way in PS to permanently attach a bleed and cut marks to a psd or tiff image? I've found how to do this via the print dialog box but it doesn't appear to save the info back to the master file.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI had a leaflet given to me that I agreed to edit. It was A4 in size and fold in three so the original has six faces. The owner wants to keep the design but reduce it to a single-sheet double sided one third of A4. So I just did the edits and and made the leaflet into three on a page; like this:
My question is how can I put a cut mark in the page. I am guessing that the leaflets can be cut as required. Or is that not a good thing to do and should I put them on a standard compliment slip size?
Is there a shortcut/cmd to razor both in and out markers together (in one operation)?
I have a few frames of a clip that I'd like to pull the volume levels down on. I've added the In and Out markers as I would do to extract, but I want to leave the subsequent clip intact. Is there a faster (better) way to achieve this than just using the razor tool to manually click on both In and Out marks?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm working on a business card project and I want to put three cards on one pace with crop marks on each card. How can I do it? I only know to put crop marks when saving to PDF or exporting to printer and on one individual element on the page.
I want to have those three cards with crop marks, and on one page.
I have never had to add crop marks to a file for printing. I output to a PDF at full bleed and it gets cut. Period.
Now, on a new project, it has to have the crop marks. Problem is, When I add those, I get marks like the black lines shown in each corner here. Obviously, this is NOT the cut line. The cutline should be more like the ones I have added after the fact in green.
How do I make the marks show up further in to the document (like th green lines) versus showing up at the full bleed's edge?
I'm trying to sort out an issue with the printer marks being set as black (K) in the print separations dialog.
What I'm trying to do is to print separations to pdf to send out to be printed in plates, for this to work I have to set the option "print separations in color" to true, so that the screen angle does not get screwed when the plates are printed. Now my issue here is that all works well just the printer marks are not in the color respective to their plate, they all are black. This will result in the plates other than the black one to not have any printermarks.
Now if there is a way to say set them to registration color or something so they are then printed right it would be great, otherwise I would need to se printer marks by hand which is a bit of a pain.
I've just dicovered by accident that when exporting from cdr to pdf the cropmarks in the upper right corner are placed a bit too far out (see picture). I have the latest CorelDraw version and this happens with every PDF export setting I have, regardless of the amount of crop space I choose.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a Xara Xtreme Pro 4 document, a multi letter size page document with text and color images (59) pages. My intention is to create a 300 dpi PDF with included printers marks, full bleed, cut marks, etc. When I export to PDF, I select PDF/X (1a) and select export. Having sent the file to my publisher, I am told that the printers marks aren't present in the document. I have no way to verify, as when I open the document, I only see the basic document (no printers marks, etc.)
My assumption was that the printer's software would be able to see this whereas the basic PDF reader cannot. Again, I have no way to verify if the printers marks exist.
Should I be creating a larger page size to accomodate the printer's marks? What am I doing wrong in the export that the printer's marks aren't being placed?
I am sure PDF/X 5 is better and might be available in a new version of Xara, but I would think PDF/X 1a - 4 any of them should be appropriate to place the necessary marks. What don't I know?
Don't know if the PDF is worth looking at to verify, but it is 254 MB in size containing unpublished material, I don't want 'released'.
I noticed that I don't have (ELEVATIONS) tab and also (elevation icon). See the picture. Also (Elevation Marks) in the window view are not exist.How can I regain all these?
