We are using ATIR STRAP to do analysis and then export DXF in order to continue editing in AutoCAD 2007. the problem is that AutoCAD doesn’t recognize the font. For example the Diameter sign we used in ATIR STRAP become a question mark in Autocad. We installed the corresponding font of ATIR STRAP.
View 6 RepliesI am using AutoCad 2012 Educational Version / Autodesk Design Review 2012 and DWG Truview 2013 and am unable to see Hebrew font within a drawing. The file title is in Hebrew and shows correctly when I open the file within any of the programs listed above, but any Hebrew text within the figure displays/prints as question marks?? I do have Hebrew as a font on my PC and have no issuues within other programs (Windows, MS Office 2010, etc.). As I need to edit the figures and text for Israeli clients, how can I get the Hebrew font to show??

I have multiple transactions occuring within a procedure. ADDTEXT is one procedure that starts and commits a transaction.
All transactions all grouped under a single undo method after the procedure is complete.
I have been working on a drawing and out of the blue, when I opened it the other day, all this tick marks where peppered all over the drawing. I discovered they were like point marks from dimension layers that were turned off. If I freeze the layer on top of turning it off, the tick marks do go away. I am running an old version of Autocad, 2007.

I have a dimstyle with primary units format set to "Fractional" and would like the inch (") marks to come in. I know i can add the inch mark as the suffix, but is there a better way? Archetectural and Engineering formats both include the inch marks and this makes sense to me. But if "fractional" format is not inches, then what would it be?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI want to get up to speed on the whole sheet, navigator, title mark thing but it seems so much more straightforward in Revit. I used to use mview and layouts and would title by hand on paper space layouts. With the functionally of Revit (it seems to be straight forward to drop in field information in title marks, sheet, numbers etc.) I am having problems in the navigator.
My process now in Autocad 2013 is to draw in model space, go to a layout in paper space, insert using 'mview' with the scale appropriate to the paper space sheet (that has an imported border with logo company info etc.). In order to automate the title marks, I use the tools pallet and drag that block into the layout. The title mark won't recognize the mview, so I made vports (using the vports dialog) but these boxes disappear when I exit that vport dialog box. When I insert the title mark from the pallet these vports show up when dragged over, but disappear again when placed or when the cursor is moved away. There appears on these vports to be a title mark location already as the lower left hand corner has a circle (as to show a view number).
So is the mview not a vport? How do I get the current vports to show their borders on the layout or how do I get the mview border to become a vport? I'd like to get the automatic fields to work so that I can enjoy the functionality I am currently enjoying in Revit. 'Why not just use Revit', there are times when our office needs to use autocad when revit doesn't make sense.
I have a file that the architectural tick marks are not solid. They are an outline of a rectangle.

I am on ACA2011. It does not matter if I am in model or a viewport. It is the same.
I have another file open and that dim ticks are filled.
I have imported the dim string into the one that does not work and still nothing.
I have created a string:

or alternatively I've tried:
strAttValue = ("3/16" & Chr(34) & "=1'-0" & Chr(34))
that I would like to pass to a lisp with the format:
(defun lispTest ( strAttValue / )
but when I do it errors with "Too many variables." The passing method is as follows:
acDoc.SendStringToExecute("(lispTest" & Chr(34) & strAttValue & Chr(34) & " ) ", True, False, False)
If I get rid of the quotes in the original string it works fine, but the quotes are needed.
Using C3D 2010, I have a drawing that has a horizontal alignment and it is stationed. I see text at every 100 feet and tick every 50 feet. Perfect. I have that drawing x-refed into another drawing. The station ticks take on the properties of the current layer in the drawing they are x-refed into. If I change to layer defpoints, the tick to not plot! Shouldn't the ticks be fixed to a certain layer?
View 4 Replies View RelatedThe linear stretch works fine but changing the length affects the position of the tick marks of the polar stretch. If I change the degrees to 0-360 then it's not a problem but I want to restrict to 285-345 deg.
I can't figure out how to move the base angle of the polar stretch with the linear stretch.
After converting and .dgn file to autocad, the diameter symbols have turned to question marks, and some of the fractional inches turned to f. The text styles are listed as dgn003.shx which is missing? What is the best approach to fix this problem?

The only issue that my project manager and I have with it is that the profile lines themselves run from station limit to station limit, and therefore the profile lines run through the vertical (elevation) numbers. Is there a way to adjust the vertical (elevation) grid marks to clean this up?

I have AutoCad Lt 09 and have just installed Windows 7. Upon installing my AutoCad Lt, my customized toolbars all have clouds with question marks. In the CUI window, the Line button image is nonexistent, in the All Commands menu images don't exist for many of the commands, and many of the untouched menu buttons in default toolbars also have clouds with question marks.

We create all the parts that will be cut on the plasma in the sheet metal environment because of the simple flat pattern export. Our plasma machine has the ability to scribe lines and also create center punch marks. It distinguishes between cut lines, scribe lines, and center punch marks by layer name. Anytime I use it, it converts to this font and each time I need to change a font weight, I must do it manually. As you can imagine, I use our company font all day so this slows me down quite a bit. Have you heard of this? It seems like some sort of font virus. I've researched removing it, yet can't seem to find the original font file to get rid of, which is even weirder."

In MediaStudio Pro, I was able to activate display of cue marks--that is, cues added in the .wav file would be shown in MSP. I haven't yet found out how (or if) this could be done in VSP (currently using VSP X4). This single feature contributed a LOT to a professional result, as I could easily insert cues into the .wav files, see them in the timeline, and then adjust the length of my clips to the music, when desired.

If not possible, what is the correct way to describe this so I can at least request an enhancement from Corel? I'm very happy with the VSP products overall, but still trying to get some of the same functionality I lost from MSP...
I had posted in another thread about wanting to clean up a signature and make it look more font like. I tried that and it seemed to be pretty difficult due to the amount of random in a hand written signature.
So I think I'd like to approach this from the other direction. I have a font I like but I don't want it to look like the font (way too common). Is there a way to alter the font (not the entire font set or even to create a new font but just for a one word Logo)?
