(AMD 64 X2 4200+, 2Gb RAM, C: 7Gb free, D: 17 Gb free)
I can not print imported images (JPG or TIFF) large size 80 - 260 Mb.
Print all but the raster! I tried to print on a plotter in JPG, TIFF, in whole or in parts, useless.
If I export the whole project in JPG 2000x3000 pix, all right, but I have 9000x10000 pixels - that size is not exported.

On the window platform in another software program the multiple pages and/or poster options appear in the print window. But not in Photoshop on my mac. I have made sure to download the newest drivers etc.

Jun 24, 2012I have 1 large photo (33cm x 200cm) i like to print on A3+ paper. Not cropped or reseized, but on about 4 papers i can glue toether after printing and so get 1 large file.
So in all i'm looking for a way to print from PS cs5 so that , part by part, the image is split on the 4 sheets i like to use.
I can of course manually 'cut' the photo into 4 pieces myself, but i really hoped PS CS5 could do this job automaic for me.
Is their a way i simply did not find yet?

Aug 14, 2013I've been a long term Photoshop (elements) user, but rarely use it. I primarily use Aperture. I have a shot that I've printed successfully in 20 X 20 on aluminum and would like my next print to be bigger, 30 X 30 would be ideal.
I have a JPG Aperture export that measures 2318 X 2318 pixels. I was talking to a person at an art show this weekend, discussing my goal for this photo and he mentioned a feature of Photoshop that can take this image and basically adds more pixels. It's a 3 second motion shot in low light, so I'm not too worried about losing sharpness.
Here is a 1024 X 1024 export of the photo.

- Set the paper size in LR and let LR blow the photo up;
- Edit a copy in PS and use the PS Size command to blow it up.
I mean if the magnifier routine in LR is the same as in PS one would expect the same result, right?

I've seen them for advertising for cars, radio stations, soups, pretty much everything.
I'm wondering, what program do they use to make something of that size?
I mean, surely it's not as simple as taking an image into photoshop and creating whatever wording you want on it; then telling it to print to a massive printer.

Jan 11, 2006I have been doing wedding photo'sphtoshop restorations for the last 6 years. But, recently i have been offered a job to do art for billboards. Theres a problem though! I have never had to make anything on that scale before, its always been nothing larger that a 10X13 really. Question is what do i need to do to design something that is going to be that large of scale? Is there a certain way that it needs to be saved...jpeg, tiff etc.? I am using CS2, and a nikkon D50.But i really dont think i will have to actually shoot anything, just photoshop images that they give me.

(I just wrote a big post but for some reason when I tried posting it the forum logged me off and it didnt post so I wont get too detailed here.)
Basically I need to print the image for example using 9 piece of normal paper and stick it together with transperant tape to make a large image.
Is there a way to do this without the need to cut the borders on each page, I really would like to print borderless pages and not cut them.
Photoshop :: Small Photo, Large Resolution?
Nov 12, 2005I have a photo that I copied from an Power Point Presentation which looked great on Power Point but when I have it in PS I noticed that the image size is just 2.507x1.028 with a res. of 576. Pixel Dimensions are 2.45M
I would like to print out a larger version of this photo but I'm not having much luck with it. It gets blurry when I try to enlarge it.
It was on Power Point as PNG graphic and I saved it to the desktop as a Gif andthen dragged it into PS.
Don't know much about Power Point maybe there is a better way to transfer pics from it.

Then convert eps to pdf with acrobat distiller, which it puzzled me is that the file is small, with high quality, I received a file and saw those who use the minimum proportion of 48X16 cm for billboard,
my question is how to configure the output in photoshop eps and how to configure the output in pro pdf distiller, to get a high quality file for printing presses.
Photoshop :: Correct Way To Setup Artwork For A Billboard?
Dec 11, 2012I need to set up photoshop artwork (which consists of about 5 layers) for a 6m x 3m billboard. I set up my whole billboard in Illustrator (at 3m x 1,5m - half of actual size) and placed the psd image in. I set up my photoshop artwork at a third of actual size (3m x 1m at 300dpi). However, this made my file VERY slow to work with (result was about 700mb!!!!). Someone suggested that I downscale the image to 500mm wide and choose resample image > Bicubic Sharper (best for reduction). This scaled my psd file to about 32mb, which worked much faster. Then I saved the psd file as a Tiff with LZW compression without layers and placed into my illustrator file. However, when I export for print as PDFX1a- 2001 my file size was only 17mb!!!! Did I do the whole process correctly?! Will the print quality still be fine for such a big billboard? Is there a better / standard way to set up photoshop graphics for a billboard?

Mar 7, 2013I am working with Illustrator CS6 and I have to prepare a file that will be printed as a 6 foot x 1.5 foot banner. Actually, it will be several banners; the same design but only the name of the organization will change. I have everything on different layers in the .ai file.
I've done the artwork as an .ai file, everything is a vector, there are no rasterized images in it at all.
The problem is, I'm not sure the best way to save the file to send to the printer. So, do I save the .ai file as a pdf, a pdf/x-1a, pdf/x-3 or pdf/x-4? Should I convert the text to outlines? There's a symbol in the artwork that includes text, does that text have to be converted to outlines as well?
Or should I just send them a file any which-a-way and see how the proof comes back?

(on light-gray backgrownd for instance, to use as cutting indications. I know how to use cutting-indications for images i print without a border)
(i do not whant to use workarounds, the kind of preparing "identity plates", a new one each for infinite variations of proportions to use as fullblown-up backgrounds..)

It doesn't spool at all, it instantly prints (leaving out the image). The image is on a layer set to print etc.

Jun 7, 2013I need to prepare a very simple poster (one color for back ground and one for the font, no further editing at all) but it has to be around 50x50inch size which is big. I have never worked with such a large images before hence my question.
When I click 'new' and then set print size to 50x50 and 150ppi resolution the file size is around 250mb. Does it really have to be this big? It seems like my laptop cant handle files this big.
Is there some way around it? Vectors? Inscape?
My laptop is Hp Pavilion g6 Core i3

Illustrator :: Can't Print Large Documents To Plotter
Jun 25, 2013For years, we've been printing large documents to our plotter without issue. Suddenly last week, nothing large will print.
I've seen a few different error messages, and have tried different computers, and different versions of Illustrator, but nothing large will print.
When trying to print, I currently get the following:
I've also seen an error suggesting not enough memory is available, which is bogus. And I think another error that was more vague, something to the effect of "can't print"
I've setup a clean install of illustrator on a clean windows install, same issue. I setup an alternate print server with our rip software, same software we've been using for years. Same error on the alternate server.
Nothing changed, and it's effecting everything here, and new installs. I don't know what happened, but this is getting critical, we need the ability to print.
AutoCAD Print / Plot :: New Large Format Printer
Aug 3, 2012My company will be getting a new large format printer to replace the current one we have. We don't have room enough to have both running at the same time so I'm imagining one-day down then viola, we have a new printer.
How I can prepare for this as far as creating the necessary Plot Styles, pc3, pmp...files? Because i have many items on my to-do list, this could take a day or two with all the testing and i can't image the uproar from our CADers about going without a plotter for two or three days.

Xara :: MASSIVE Print Banner - Too Large To Export
Dec 19, 2013I have a client who asked me to create artwork for a banner she is printing for a trade show. The banner is 19.5 FEET long and almost 8 feet high. I have designed the banner as 6.5x2.6ft with the intent of then dividing it into 9 equal parts which I would blow up to 6.5x2.6 and send off to the printer. So far so good. The problem is that the segments are still so large that when I try to export them as PDFs, I am running out of memory. I tried doing them as jpegs, but when I change the resolution for export to 300dpi, nothing changes- the number of pixels x umber of pixels doesn't increase. My client needs this artwork off to her printer asap and I am at a complete loss.

May 23, 2012This is an issue that has gone on in v2012 and still in v2013,
A client of mine has been dealing with a painful workaround when plotting custom sized maps in landscape. If the layout shows the map in landscape as it should, it will not plot. You would have to rotate the drawing 90 degrees for it to plot. The maps cover many sqaure miles, so looking at getting the plot area correct, making various changes and such in the layout, while at 90 degrees, is pretty infuriating. I'm in no way a novice in the Adsk world, so having tried a load of options and such, I'm at an impasse. Below are a few things that have been checked off the troubleshooting list.
Not just maps, but even a simple rectangle does not work;Updating plotter drivers;Deleting layout and/or viewport, then recreating one;Using all combinations of portrait/landscape settings in the plot dialog AND in the printer properties;Dropping the plot quality..Changing the compatibility setting of the program to an earlier version of windows;Using a driver from a different plotter;Change margins on custom paper sizes;Audit the file;Used templates from different versions
AutoCAD Inventor :: Can't Print Large Filled Arc Smooth
May 14, 2013Trying to print out a large arc on paper using fill to thicken it but as the attached picture shows, the filled part turns out blocky, leaving noticeable gaps. Basically, it's not smooth and needs to be more rounded. Is there anyway to fix this?
