I'm having problems with some of the things on photoshop stretching the page. Today, I was trying to add a splatter effect (filter > brush stroke > splatter), and when I went to the page, the window was too big, so I couldn't see the settings on the far right. I'm not sure if it's just my computer's screen size. Here's a screenshot if you're confused.

I have created a dynamic block. Herein I placed stretch actions parameter set to strecht parts including anotative text.
Now the block seems to work fine.
- When I am in modelspace and I change the annotation scale the text is changed correct
- When I am in modelspace and I change the stretch value of the dynamic block everything goes fine.
But when I am in modelspace and I change the stretch value in one of the annotiaton scales and then switch to another scale my text is changed annotativly (this is what I want) but the stretch value is set back to default (which should be at the changed value).
I have found loads of tutorials showing how to do this with a normal single tone page but I am having trouble getting the curl to work well on the bottom right hand corner with the texture and also the torn edge. I have tried distorting it but it just goes all blurred.

Is there a way to remove the *Model* page setup entry from the list of Page Setups in the Page Setup Manager? This is the first time I am seeing *Model* in the list, and I suspect that it the reason I am not able to generate a PDF for this particular drawing. When I try, I get the following error:

I have this idea that removing *Model* from the list will do it. In addition to causing PDF creation failure, I believe it is also responsible for forcing the Model to always be in the Publish list, even though I have unchecked the "Include model when adding sheets" option. I can remove it from that list manually, but it comes back every time.
I quite often need a separate ruler scale on each page of a multi-page document. The only way I know how to do this is to create a separate document for each drawing that requires a new scale.
I request that you add the ability to change the ruler scale on a per page basis within a single multi-page document.

All rows required to create a book of running information.
If I use a label type approach some rows have less data making the layout uneven (unsuitable for the project)
Is there a way to merge with a fluid result ?
Ie row one takes up 2 lines Row 2 takes up 5 lines Row 3 takes up 1 line etc

Several times a week I need to take a PDF (single-page doc), then convertto a page-sized PNG with quality good enough to read the text (and atransparent border), and then convert to a SWF. I have a PNG-to-SWFutility, but when I used it on the PNG saved after I opened my PDF andexported from GIMP, the end result was not good enough. A co-worker saidGIMP couldn't make a PNG (w/transparency) with enough quality. He said we'dhave to use some other software. Part of the issue was not being able toresize without losing quality before the PNG export. True or false?
View 3 Replies View RelatedAfter moving a page in my document the master page elements no longer display on screen or in print. If I move the page to a different location in the document the master displays but if it is in the specific position that it needs to be it will not display. The document has multiple Masters and others do work on the page but the one that I need will not. I've tried deleting the page and adding a new one and that does not fix the problem. I've checked and "Hide Master Items" is not checked. The page in question is in position 48 with F-Master applied. If I move it to position 49 it works, 50, it works, 51, or any other it works. If I apply a different master to the page, it works. If I delete the page, add a new page and apply F-Master it still does not work. The only page that this problem is happening on is page 48.
View 1 Replies View RelatedTrying to set up a datamerge file to create multi page spread documents with fields on different pages. Attempting to set it up so it's as automated as possible as there are up to 20 different merge documents needing to merge with up to 100 different csv records from the same file each week . The merge documents have different and repeated merge fields on most pages.
I've set it up so that the document has facing pages, and most pages have images spread across the whole of the spread. the pages preview fine, they are created ok when using 'Create Merged Document' although the page numbers continue from one document to another (another problem). but when I come to export to pdf, then the merge only shows the image on the left spread but on both left and right spread single pages, and the page numbers don't show the correct page numbers eg it will go p1 p2 p1 p2 etc all the way through the document instead of p1 p2 p3 - p20 etc. I don't want to have to merge first then pdf but can't understand why the images and page numbers are not showing correctly.
If it's a bug, then I cannot believe it wasn't caught before the release. So here it is. I simply put artistic text down on page 1. Select the text and copy to clipboard. Add a new page and paste the text. On my computer, the text changes from artistic text (as copied to clipboard) to paragraph default text left justified across the center of the page. It doesn't matter how much text I select, it always pastes on the new page as paragraph text left justified and across the center of the page.
However, if I select artistic text and any other object, copy and paste to a new sheet, it works erectly. Apparently, I now have to select text and an object to insure that the paste feature works properly?
I am guessing this will be a no but is there a way to change page setup for more than 1 page at a time? I have multiple pages in a drawing that I want to change to all the same page setup.

View 8 Replies View RelatedIndesign CS6: I've years of extensive experience using Master Pages. Now, however, when I insert a single page in a facing page document, the headers shift off the page. I've tried everything I can think of to stop this. I'm not using liquid layout or any of those layout things.
This is very problematic as I do textbooks with hundreds of graphics and I either have to manually move all the master page items on every page after an insertion; or I have to shift all graphics manually to the next page after moving those to the next page, and the next, and so on.
I'm praying this is just a "hey, you must have X set to X and by deselecting it you'll be fine."

i´d like to know if ther is any hotkey on how to move any object or a group of objects from far on the page to the page border.
In the past two days, two-page PDFs that I save out of CS6 are printing with the second page upside down. I have tried resaving the documents—didn't work. Tried saving the documents as individual PDFs and combining the PDFs in Acrobat—didn't work. I have had my colleagues print them, and the second page is upside-down too. When I print two-page PDFs that I saved last week or longer ago, I have no problem at all. It just seems to be happening with recently saved PDFs. I didn't update any software on my computer between saving the PDFs that are printing correctly and when this problem began.
View 11 Replies View Relatedi'm doing a CD layout and want to use an image that stretches across all three of the front panels for the cover. the image in question, in it's original form is: 300dpi and roughly 5.75in x 3.8in. i need the image to be able to fit a 14.5in x 5in area (i realize the photo will need to be cropped).
so, how does one make the file larger while retaining the detail of it 300dpi? i've already imported the photo into InDesign and exported it as a PDF, opened the PDF in PS at 800dpi, then resized it with the RESAMPLE IMAGE box UNCHECKED and the pic is ultra grainy.
I am using CS2 for creating web pages and Ive run across a little problem. I cant figure out how to "save for web" so that my *.jpg will be stretched across the web browser when people view it. When I view my *.html after "save for web" it places the *.jpg in the top left corner of the page. I can use Dreamweaver to center my image, but it still looks out of place. Ive seen photoshop created pages stretched to resize with the web browser window;

I find I cannot pick up the additional text by clicking the + sign to place it on the next text cell thus linking text from page to page. Am I missing something or is such a useful facility unavailable in Lightroom? If that's the case, is there a good reason for Lightroom not offering text linking between pages?

How is possible to make it higher, means strech it along the Y axis from the middle and up?
If I use "scale" as you see the width of the window becomes bigger (wrong) I tried to use "mesh edit" or "stretch modifier" with no good results...
My question is how to stretch this window the way I want without changing it's width...
I made a little video commercial, where I show album covers, with intermittent quick videos of me in- between. Since I changed locations where I DJ now, I took the original video, and just tweaked it a little with the new internet address, etc. The album covers I used were all originally 300x300, and I have them all centered in the overlay screen.
The problem is, when I play the video within VSx3, everything looks fine- but as I'm encoding into a .flv file to upload on youtube, it's distorting all the perfect "squares", and "rectangulizing" them the long way.
We work on a double-monitor setup!
Is there a limit for how much you can strech a toolbar.
I keep all my toolbars on a dedicated screen, from the bottom of the screen to the top but they stop streching at about 1035pixels.
The screen has 1680px vertical. As you can see on the SCREEN-SHOT bellow there is a loot of space to strech them but they wont go beyond those 1035px.
Imagine you have a a box, say 1 foot square. You attach a fat rubber band in the center of one side and then you pull the rubber band up to an edge and around it to the center of the next face. It stretches and the corner is the only spot that controls the change of direction. If you raise one end (the segment from your finger to the corner) it raises, but the segment from the corner to where the other end is attached stays flat on the box until you move your hand far enough away so that there is now no wrap around the edge. Now if you pull and relax, it acts like any normal rubber band. But then if you lower your fingers with the end you are holding and go back down to the face, you wrap around that corner again and can pull and relax around the corner.
What I'm actually doing is animating a muscle that goes around a bone when it's stretched out. But when it's contracted, one end moves out away from that bone it's wrapped around and it's now just a straight line. I need to animate that muscle from that contracted and straight position to the extended position but have the end of the muscle bend around the bone when it hits it.
I have been trying to understand why does TurboSmooth or MeshSmooth modifier tend to stretch the UVs of the low poly unwrapped object. For example I have a simple box which I unwrap and smooth out with TS modifier after applying the map it stretches because the UVs get distorted by the TS modifier. check the image to get a visual idea of what I am talking about:

I use "Add: Pick Points" to hatch my elevations. The hatch does not seem to stretch when I need to stretch the elevations. Is there a way to make it stretch?
