Apr 4, 2013This was very easy to do in earlier versions of Illustrator, but now it seems like the only option is to make a separate artboard for each page tile!

Oct 16, 2010I quite often need a separate ruler scale on each page of a multi-page document. The only way I know how to do this is to create a separate document for each drawing that requires a new scale.
I request that you add the ability to change the ruler scale on a per page basis within a single multi-page document.
I am using CDR X5 SP1.

Jan 10, 2013I am a Graphic Designer for a print shop and we just had a large document printed that looked to be in black and white but must have been in color somewhere (gray boxes) and used more clicks on the printer than we wanted. I'm wondering if there is a quick way to check a document like this in CS5 programs to see if it is truly in black and white or if there is something in there that is RGB or CMYK.

Apr 1, 2014Trying to set up a datamerge file to create multi page spread documents with fields on different pages. Attempting to set it up so it's as automated as possible as there are up to 20 different merge documents needing to merge with up to 100 different csv records from the same file each week . The merge documents have different and repeated merge fields on most pages.
I've set it up so that the document has facing pages, and most pages have images spread across the whole of the spread. the pages preview fine, they are created ok when using 'Create Merged Document' although the page numbers continue from one document to another (another problem). but when I come to export to pdf, then the merge only shows the image on the left spread but on both left and right spread single pages, and the page numbers don't show the correct page numbers eg it will go p1 p2 p1 p2 etc all the way through the document instead of p1 p2 p3 - p20 etc. I don't want to have to merge first then pdf but can't understand why the images and page numbers are not showing correctly.
InDesign :: Moving A Page In Document The Master Page Elements No Longer Display On Screen Or In Print
Mar 14, 2014After moving a page in my document the master page elements no longer display on screen or in print. If I move the page to a different location in the document the master displays but if it is in the specific position that it needs to be it will not display. The document has multiple Masters and others do work on the page but the one that I need will not. I've tried deleting the page and adding a new one and that does not fix the problem. I've checked and "Hide Master Items" is not checked. The page in question is in position 48 with F-Master applied. If I move it to position 49 it works, 50, it works, 51, or any other it works. If I apply a different master to the page, it works. If I delete the page, add a new page and apply F-Master it still does not work. The only page that this problem is happening on is page 48.

not all, but all elements i am interested in are rotated - it would be better if really all elements would be rotated the elements are rotated around 'aiTransformDocumentOrigin' ... i would prefer if they are rotated around 'middle of document'.

Jun 23, 2013I love the new versions of Illustrator, but get left in the dust with new innovations that I can't figure out.
I am trying to go to File > Document Setup and all I get is a new dialog box that completely leaves out page orientation and page size as well. I just want to have an artboard that is 11" x 8 1/2" but there is nothing I see in menus or in palettes that give the old comfortable page orientation change that you used to be able to do in older versions of Illustrator. How do I set page or artboard size and orientation?
Illustrator :: Second Page Of Two-page PDFs Printing Upside-down?
May 8, 2013In the past two days, two-page PDFs that I save out of CS6 are printing with the second page upside down. I have tried resaving the documents—didn't work. Tried saving the documents as individual PDFs and combining the PDFs in Acrobat—didn't work. I have had my colleagues print them, and the second page is upside-down too. When I print two-page PDFs that I saved last week or longer ago, I have no problem at all. It just seems to be happening with recently saved PDFs. I didn't update any software on my computer between saving the PDFs that are printing correctly and when this problem began.

When we open the file in Photoshop or link it in Indesign or Illustrator we only see the 1st page or view of the file.
I was very surprised to see this in Bridge, as far as I know it is not possible to even make a multi page jpg file.

Dec 19, 2012I am using AutoCAD LT 2009. I have AcrobatPro installed on my machine as well.
I seem to have lost my ability to publish a a bunch of dwg files and have one PDF file as the output. It used to work fine...I would hit publish, add all my dwgs (all model tabs), configure all page setups to be one of my Adobe PDF options (I have few configured, one for color, gray, B&W, etc), hit the publish button and then adobe would be prompt me for a file name, and then voila - I have one multi-page PDF of my drawing set.
Where it got lost and what happened, I don't know. As for trying to fix it, I have tried everything below, but nothing that gets me back to where I was:
1. Tried using the built-in "DWG to PDF." At best, this will automatically generate a PDF for each drawing without any input from me. I then used Adobe to combine all the drawings into one file. I could live with this, however, the resolution of the PDF's is not enough. I even tried changing the resolution setting to 1200dpi...stills comes out bad.
2. Using the "Adobe PDF." I get prompted by adobe for a filename for each dwg. This is very tedious. However, the output files look nice and much better resolution than #1.
3. There seem to be a lot of mention in hte forums to a system variable PUBLISHCOLLATE. This does not exist in my list of system variables (maybe because I am using LT). I tried setenv command to create the variable and toggle it from 0 to 1...this does not affect anything.
4. Within the Publish Dialogue - There is no mention of PDF anywhere. My only options for 'Publish to' are 'Plotter named in the setup' or 'DWF'. Within the Publish Options, nothing related to PDF...only options for DWF. I have tried changing these anyway, not affect.
5. Toying the pc3 - I tried changing some settings with PC3 file (Adobe PDF and DWG to PDF)...nothing fixed the problem. I tried setting collate from NONE to REGULAR, tried changing port to AUTOSPOOL, PLOT TO FILE, PLOT TO THE FOLLOWING PORT...nothing worked.

Mar 5, 2013I'm coming from paint.net, which is bloating tif images to the extreme......I work on tif's for work (engineering revisions) as well as multi-page tifs.Needless to say, I need to get up to speed on Gimp as fast as possible, as work places don't like a learning curve The image editor used by others is atrocious.
I see the Gimp will open multi-page tifs, but how do I save them back as multi-page? Or is this not possible?
And how do I go about drawing a filled rectangle? A good deal of my work is digitally "whiting out" things on technical drawings. I see the brush tool, but not a filled rectangle.

I've got 32 TIF files, each the page of a comic book. i want to crete a 32 page PDF file. Turning one tiff into one PDF in Photoshop is easy. But two or more into a single pdf document... I don't see how.
I went to some other forums and was called 'stupid', 'lazy' etc. and am very frustarted at this. I simply cannot spend any more time researching because I have wasted days doing just that.

Nov 19, 2012I am creating printable PDF files and up to yesterday I was using a free trial of PSE 10. To create a multi page document I first saved it as a PSE project file, then added blank pages, then when I was done I saved it as a PDF and voila - done!
Now my trial has run out I have bought the paid version (which is now version 11) and I seem to have lost that option entirely. The product is useless to me without a way to create multi page PDFs
Alternatively can I downgrade back to PSE10 which was fine for me!
Lightroom :: Printing Identity Plate On Multi-image Page?
Feb 19, 2007According to the Help for Lightroom V1.0, I can choose to print my identity plate on each image on the page:
>To have the identity plate appear on every photo in a multiphoto template, select Render On Every Image. The identity plate is centered on each photo and can be moved, scaled, or rotated using the controls in the Overlays panel.
I can move the ID if it is rendered only on one image.
I cannot figure out how to move the ID plate once I have clicked "render on every image." It seems to be fixed in the center of each image.
InDesign :: CC Data Merge Multi Records Shift Off PAGE?
Feb 25, 2014When I do a data merge and select multi records it shift them way off the page. The only time it does the multi page correctly is when I use the default page size (8.5x11). This happens whether I preview it or export it with out the preview. Is there a patch coming out for this or asome setting I am missing? My CS5 did not have this issue.
