I know that if I use IMPORTOBJ I can import an excel file....but the file is multiple pages (within the same workbook page). Is there a way to bring that in withought breaking up the Excel file into mulitple files?
View 1 RepliesTrying to set up a datamerge file to create multi page spread documents with fields on different pages. Attempting to set it up so it's as automated as possible as there are up to 20 different merge documents needing to merge with up to 100 different csv records from the same file each week . The merge documents have different and repeated merge fields on most pages.
I've set it up so that the document has facing pages, and most pages have images spread across the whole of the spread. the pages preview fine, they are created ok when using 'Create Merged Document' although the page numbers continue from one document to another (another problem). but when I come to export to pdf, then the merge only shows the image on the left spread but on both left and right spread single pages, and the page numbers don't show the correct page numbers eg it will go p1 p2 p1 p2 etc all the way through the document instead of p1 p2 p3 - p20 etc. I don't want to have to merge first then pdf but can't understand why the images and page numbers are not showing correctly.
how to get the page count of a multi page PDF file? I know you can then open each page using the PDFFileOptions (pagetoopen). But I need to know up front how many pages there are to loop thru to open each page and process each page.

When I have a multi page Ai fil e (50 pages) and 'Save as', it saves more than just the single page I specified (ie. Range 1-1)... it saves all 50 over again? How do I just save 1 of the 50?

I changed my Publish options on the Project Navigator for publishing to PDF as a single sheet per sheet layout. Now I want to put it back so that when I publish it does ALL sheet into one PDF file and I can not figure out how to put it back. Now ever time I publish it does each sheet as a separate pdf.

I've got 32 TIF files, each the page of a comic book. i want to crete a 32 page PDF file. Turning one tiff into one PDF in Photoshop is easy. But two or more into a single pdf document... I don't see how.
I went to some other forums and was called 'stupid', 'lazy' etc. and am very frustarted at this. I simply cannot spend any more time researching because I have wasted days doing just that.
What if I have created 7 logo versions. I want the client to view these 7 versions as one file (maybe one PDF file with 1 logo per page). Each logo version is on its own layer in Illustrator right now. How do I convert each logo/layer to a multi-page PDF file? Since this is just for viewing, I don’t have to submit EPS files yet to the client.
View 7 Replies View RelatedWhen I try to attach a 2013 Excel file into a 2014 drawing I get a message 'You have selected an unsupported DGN File. Only V7 and V8 files are supported.' Cannot attache through the Import command either. I know in past versions you could insert the file and any changes made to the file appeared to the attachment in the drawing.
Is this no longer possible? Surely not, it is way to handy. What am I overlooking to make this happen?
When opening a multi-page TIF file, there are options to open a specific page, a range of pages, or all pages. Unfortunately, the options for range of pages or all pages are dimmed, and cannot be selected. What can we not select these other options?

It's work fine but i have same question. There is some string to refresh an iLogic Module? When i push the ruel button the rule add the custom value in iProperties, but there are disabled, i have close the module an reopen it for correct display the value of the iProperties.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI quite often need a separate ruler scale on each page of a multi-page document. The only way I know how to do this is to create a separate document for each drawing that requires a new scale.
I request that you add the ability to change the ruler scale on a per page basis within a single multi-page document.
I am using CDR X5 SP1.
This was very easy to do in earlier versions of Illustrator, but now it seems like the only option is to make a separate artboard for each page tile!

- I don't want to import all these into a table. I want all the info in a 3 text columns format that will run accros 150 pages (more or less)

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a batch of 5000 pictures (jpg). I need to add the information that I have in an .xls file (Excel), from a column with the description of each picture. Each description is different from the others, so I would have to assign the code number of the file jpg (first colum of the excel) to the correspondance info that exists in the column of the description/caption into the IPTC field.
I have tried several ways, applications that I have found through Google, but I have no way to do it. It seems that the origin of the problem is the xls file or the txt file that I have had to created to try to do the importation. In any case messages of errors like "the file does not exists", etc etc. I don`t know what to do it. It's very important and urgent for my job.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am using AutoCAD LT 2009. I have AcrobatPro installed on my machine as well.
I seem to have lost my ability to publish a a bunch of dwg files and have one PDF file as the output. It used to work fine...I would hit publish, add all my dwgs (all model tabs), configure all page setups to be one of my Adobe PDF options (I have few configured, one for color, gray, B&W, etc), hit the publish button and then adobe would be prompt me for a file name, and then voila - I have one multi-page PDF of my drawing set.
Where it got lost and what happened, I don't know. As for trying to fix it, I have tried everything below, but nothing that gets me back to where I was:
1. Tried using the built-in "DWG to PDF." At best, this will automatically generate a PDF for each drawing without any input from me. I then used Adobe to combine all the drawings into one file. I could live with this, however, the resolution of the PDF's is not enough. I even tried changing the resolution setting to 1200dpi...stills comes out bad.
2. Using the "Adobe PDF." I get prompted by adobe for a filename for each dwg. This is very tedious. However, the output files look nice and much better resolution than #1.
3. There seem to be a lot of mention in hte forums to a system variable PUBLISHCOLLATE. This does not exist in my list of system variables (maybe because I am using LT). I tried setenv command to create the variable and toggle it from 0 to 1...this does not affect anything.
4. Within the Publish Dialogue - There is no mention of PDF anywhere. My only options for 'Publish to' are 'Plotter named in the setup' or 'DWF'. Within the Publish Options, nothing related to PDF...only options for DWF. I have tried changing these anyway, not affect.
5. Toying the pc3 - I tried changing some settings with PC3 file (Adobe PDF and DWG to PDF)...nothing fixed the problem. I tried setting collate from NONE to REGULAR, tried changing port to AUTOSPOOL, PLOT TO FILE, PLOT TO THE FOLLOWING PORT...nothing worked.
I have a Multi-Value Parameter "MV" that I want to populate using a Named Range from an Excel file that is already populating other parameters for the same file.
I currently have the file working by populating "MV" by using the snippet from iLogic below...
MultiValue.List("MV") = GoExcel.CellValues("filename.xls", "Sheet1", "A2", "A10")
The reason I don't like this method is because if ever that range changes... all the iLogic code will have to be updated as well. How to set a Multi-Value Parameter using a Named Range from an Excel file? I assumed the below snippet would work but I am receiving

I have AutoCAD 2013 and often "paste special" excel files that automatically update when the excel file changes.The problem I'm running into is I work with a person who has uses an older version of CAD 2004, so I always save to the older format for him.
When I etransmit, I be sure to add the excel file, but when he opens the dwg, only the outline of the excel appears in his dwg, no content.

When we open the file in Photoshop or link it in Indesign or Illustrator we only see the 1st page or view of the file.
I was very surprised to see this in Bridge, as far as I know it is not possible to even make a multi page jpg file.
