When opening a multi-page TIF file, there are options to open a specific page, a range of pages, or all pages. Unfortunately, the options for range of pages or all pages are dimmed, and cannot be selected. What can we not select these other options?

I don't often work with paragraph text, but I'm creating a booklet of about 32 pages. When I paste my text into Draw, it automatically creates as many pages as are necessary to display all of it. But when I change text borders or enlarge the font, it doesn't add any more pages. If I manually add pages, the text doesn't continue to them. All the original text is still there, but the excess is hidden within the border on the last page. I can manually add pages, of course, and cut and paste my text from one page to the next as necessary, but is there a way to automatically continue the text onto new pages?

Anyhow, I am having a problem exporting TIFF images. The bottom part of the image is corrupt. White band. Interesting, if I open the TIFF in Corel PhotoPaint it's perfectly fine and fancy, but If I preview in Explorer I get the band, emailing it the recipient complains about the white band which obliterates the bottom 100px or so.
As far as I know the Adobe TIFF spec has not changed since 1991, maybe 1996..
So is this a limitation with the trial upgrade or a bug or a weird harold situation?
Everything else seems great, I'm excited about running corel 64 bit on an 8 core machine with 16 gb, It does seem like there have been some things removed which were previously very useful for production, and now they are gone or perhaps just missing. For example, how do i pop out the pallette and see all the colors at once? I think now I have to scroll at the bottom and it's annoying as heck.
I am trying to save a tif file to gif and at the same time setting the white background transparent. I did this in Corel Photo Paint 11 with the following

X5, a recent purchase, does an IMPORT of TIFFs instead of an OPEN and wants to know what page I want to load. Answering this on each file defeats the purpose of batch processing. How I should write the script?
I have overlaid star shapes on a colored background, so that you can see the colors inside the star shapes as well as outside the lines of the star shape. the shapes are outlined in a black border. Is there a way I can delete the background (cut out multiple stars) on one sheet and have a white background with the colors still inside the stars?
View 14 Replies View RelatedThe Coreldraw Graphics Suite X5 is my first foray into this product since version 3 (way back when). PhotoPaint supports CR2 files.
Except that in my case it doesn't do so consistently. Files from my Canon 5D MkII occasionally open fine (just this evening, I started getting a problem withe these as well), but 7D files consistently crash the program and I have to exit.
I have SP3 installed.
This machine is a 6-month old 64-bit HP desktop (AMD multi-core processor) with 8 GB of RAM. Photoshop, Lightroom, Painter 12, and PSP X4 work without incident and open all supported files smoothly.
I am creating printable PDF files and up to yesterday I was using a free trial of PSE 10. To create a multi page document I first saved it as a PSE project file, then added blank pages, then when I was done I saved it as a PDF and voila - done!
Now my trial has run out I have bought the paid version (which is now version 11) and I seem to have lost that option entirely. The product is useless to me without a way to create multi page PDFs
Alternatively can I downgrade back to PSE10 which was fine for me!
We can make multi master pages for ODD and EVEN pages.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently downloaded a Trial Version of PSP X5, and one of Adobe PSE11. For my purposes, I find PSP easier to use and therefore preferable. However, in PSE11, a scan of several photos contained in a single file can be "auto" split or divided into individual files, and as such can be edited individually. Try as I have, I have found nothing similar in PSP X5. This could be a deal breaker, as I have numerous old photos to scan and edit, and I find that doing 3 to 5 at a time is a big time saver. Does PSP 5 has this feature?

I click open and my RAW file opens in Camera Raw Lab, I make my adjustments and click OK - it then opens in PP but I don't have the option of saving it as a jpeg.
When I asked for the file ext to be associated jpeg shows in the filter but is not available as a 'save as' option. I can do exactly the same in PSE8 and have the jpeg option.
No matter what resolution I save a jpeg at, they all seem to open at 480 dpi. I would like my jpegs to open at their native resolution. I have looked through the options and settings, but can't find the command to change this. (When I go to resample it always displays 480 dpi)

Everything is much more blue and with more contrast. I've worked with the different color models trying to adjust my image to get it more close to the original, but it's not going so well.

1. It does not show the original file size. At one time I used this as a cue to see if I had forgotten to resample.
2. After the installation of version 16.3, the displayed compressed file size is no longer accurate. It varies from perfect to reading 25% too high.
I've been working on an image for about 4 hours... (PHOTO PAINT X4) The screen is now frozen with a small box saying ''out of memory'' I haven't saved the file for a few hours. Attempting to set it up so it's as automated as possible as there are up to 20 different merge documents needing to merge with up to 100 different csv records from the same file each week . The merge documents have different and repeated merge fields on most pages.
I've set it up so that the document has facing pages, and most pages have images spread across the whole of the spread. the pages preview fine, they are created ok when using 'Create Merged Document' although the page numbers continue from one document to another (another problem). but when I come to export to pdf, then the merge only shows the image on the left spread but on both left and right spread single pages, and the page numbers don't show the correct page numbers eg it will go p1 p2 p1 p2 etc all the way through the document instead of p1 p2 p3 - p20 etc. I don't want to have to merge first then pdf but can't understand why the images and page numbers are not showing correctly.
how to get the page count of a multi page PDF file? I know you can then open each page using the PDFFileOptions (pagetoopen). But I need to know up front how many pages there are to loop thru to open each page and process each page.

My brother sent me a TIF file that had multiple pages within it. I never knew this was possible. Is this something that can be done in Photoshop then converted to a TIF file? Once I opened the TIF file, it allowed me to flip from one page to the next so the pages weren't all scanned side by side.

I can not figure out how to maintain the original file size of my photos when I open them in Paintshop For example, the original file might be 3.78 MB but once it opens in Paintshop it is only 706 KB. Do I need to change settings somewhere?
