See my attached screenshot--I've got an image that I pasted into Photoshop. You'll see that it is showing up in my layers palette, but not in the actual image on my screen.
I'm on a PC running windows 7 and Photoshop CS5.
So as you can see by my screen shot, my layers tab is open but none of the layers are showing in it. It could just be me being stupid but I don't know. I've tried restarting it and reopening my photo but they still haven't shown up.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am new to PS CS5, when I create any vector shape using pen tool or rectangular tool etc the shape does not appear in my layers panel.
Is this normal behavior? If it is, how do i reselect a shape after I've made it?
Previously, I was able to view all layers marked as visible at once when editing photos. Now, for some reason, only the top layer is visible, and will not show the editing done in the layers below.

I know this has already been posted about Photoshop CS5 but I think CS6 is slightly different.
I have a group called "grey button" with a text layer ("ok, got it") and a shape layer ("large grey") within in it. Sometimes the two elements within the group show up in the layers palette, sometimes they don't. Sometimes when I click the drop down for the group folder, it looks to be open but nothing shows beneath it. Sometimes when I can get the items within the group folder to show beneath the folder, then close the dropdown, the folder looks closed but the elements are still showing beneath it.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI just upgraded to Photoshop CC and when I load my templates, I cannot see the layers which contain the photos, only the text and graphics. I have a lot of templates and use clipping masks all the time in my old version and I don't want to have to make new templates.
View 6 Replies View RelatedStarted working with PSE and when I tried to "stamp" a brush shape (whether default brushes or otherwise), the program does something it had never done before....SEE ATTACHED. I will create a new layer to use my brush, but when I try to "stamp" it onto background, the program then creates a layer mask where I can see the brush shape AND a new layer, however ALL that shows up on the background is the icon you can see in my screen grab I am attaching here. What is this icon? (The teeny one middle right of image, black square, outlined in red, with two red circles in the middle) I called Apple, we did a few things, they said it wasn't on there end. I reset my tools, I uninstalled, reinstalled, to no avail. Again, I've reset all tools, the "eye" icon on layers panel shows it should be visible, I've tried layers-->merge visible, I've uninstalled and reinstalled.....

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've been doing a logo at work on illustrator CS6, but when I come home and load it onto my computer using illustrator CS5, the layers don't show up at all. It's all just one layer. Is this because I didn't save it as a legacy format when I was at work? I feel like I've saved work before as CS6 and the layers have shown up when I bring it up on CS5, but for some reason now it isnt? Anyway, just wonder if I'm doing something wrong or can get around this somehow?
View 1 Replies View RelatedUsing CAD2011, froze, I restarted it and reopened the file I was working in. In my ribbon, all layers read "0", but show the correct ByLayer color according to what layers they were on before the crash. If I list something, it shows the correct layer, and not that it's on "0". When my coworker opens the same file everything is as it should be, which leads me to believe some setting got messed up during this crash.
It is making work way more difficult than it should be - I can't see what layers are what!
I have two view ports on one sheet and the top one has layers not showing that the bottom one has. I can erase and make a new VP and the layers are on.
View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen I open layer manager, it doesnt show my layers, it is just all blank, not even a "0" layer. I can click in the area and it shows the layer but that is it. I searched for a fix but was unable to find a fix. I have updated my graphics card driver but that didnt fix it. I have attached a screen shot to show what it looks like. I am running C3D 2009.

Well, I was working on an illustration, just trying things here and there, and so I have many different layers of elements, some of them I want show, and some of them not (I don't want to delete them though, cause they may be useful later). At some point I realized that when I saved the file and went to see the preview (space bar) in its folder, the image had both hidden and shown elements.
So this is my doubt: is this normal? is there a way to show the preview with only the shown elements? Of course, when I export the file to .png, for example, I get the picture I should get (without the hidden stuff).
Been trying to show multiple layers/coatings in my drawing for several hours now, and finally defeated,
I have a revolved part that's made of multiple layers -- aluminum, for example, with an anodized coating and then a paint on top. I need to make a detailed drawing to show how thick each layer is, and to that end, created the part profile, added an offset rotation for layer 1 and then another offset rotation for layer two. They're thus symmetric and in full contact, but separate, distinct layers. No problem.
Turning this into a precise drawing, however, is a bit harder, since all of the layers render into one monolithic revolution. I need to show those layers distinctly, like in the png file attached. Is that possible?
i just installed photoshop on my new laptop and it does not show any images when i open them. like you can see in teh image that i posted i have a picture opened (its also so in a layer) i can use photoshop but i dont see anyting changing in the normal area( is does change in the layer box.)

Why a layer state assigned to a viewport can only restrict the layers showing? I want my viewport to show the proper layers all the time, even when those layers are not visible in model space.

I've taken an image, cut it up and two pieces are now new images. One works just fine. The other one, just doesn't show up. They were created exactly the same. It gets weirder. In Dreamweaver, hitting F12 for preview, it doesn't show up, but if I go to Inetpub>wwwroot>thesite>open the image shows up there. Go to upload, the image is gone. Have tried changing from jpg to gif with no effect. Even in the site control panel, the file shows up with no name or icon, but if you go to delete, it asks if you're sure you want to delete banner.gif. It sees it somehow, but not the way I need it to. Hopefully someone out there understands what I'm talking about. Timing here is crucial and I've spent a good day and night on this with no solution yet.

I'm converting it to a PNG-24, and when I put it on the phone, the colors don't come out right (it's suppose to be yellow, instead comes our orangey). I've tried following the instructions here [URL]... changing some of the color settings and I still can't get it to work. The file is only 600kb large and is shown below:

I like to use my pen tool to create anchor points outside of my image, but when I zoom in to use the pen tool, I lose my canvas. I'm trying to use the magnetic free form pen tool and this is, so far, impossible.
When i try to adjust my View>Zoom Out while using the tool, the pen just creates anchor points to infinity. (This is hard for me to put into words and I hope that I am making myself understood.)
i'm a first time user of this photoshop CS4. When I open an image to edit it is 'tiled'. How do I turn this off to show the photo as it should be seen? driving me crazy.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI tried to reset the Text tool and gave it a larger font. All I get is a straight line and the text shows up in the layer box.
This worked for me previously, but now it is stubborn.
Why are the image thumbnails in the channels pallet not showing up as grayscale images? They used to, and for some reason or another aren't any more for me. Instead, they are showing up red, green, and blue for each respective channel. I'm on Mac, using CS6.

I have a web image (gif format) with a transparent background (deleted the background layer before saving as a gif), and when the image is against a darker webpage, the text of the image (that is basically all the image is, just blended text) has white pixels around the edges of the text. Did I do something wrong when I deleted the background, or how I saved the file???

for the first three weeks I did not have a probloem with this issue, I am trying to get a fell for photoshop and then upgrade to the newest edition.
Illustrator cs6 - I have used image trace to create a 3 colour image of a photograph. Is there a way to create layers based on the three colours? (One layer for each of the three colours)
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a PDF file (version 1.3) that I inserted into my drawing (AutoCAD 2010 LT) just fine, except the image won't show up. All there is the rectangular outline of the xref which I can select and move around, but inside the outline, a blank image where I expect a floor plan.
I am able to attach another PDF file (version 1.6) and see the image it contains just fine.
Does this have to do with the PDF version? Is there a way to convert it so I can see it on my drawing? Otherwise, what's going on?
I am sculpting a bust and want to use Projection Stamp image to paint the diffuse map. However, the image is not showing in the viewport.
My model has 6 levels with 6+ million polygons. At none of the levels the image shows in viewport.
I'm using Nvidia GTX 560 Ti, 1G
Windows 7 Pro 64bits.
cpu i7 860, 2.8 ghz
16 GB rams.
However, when I start with the mudbox standard base head mesh, then choosing Stencil image, the image shows in the viewport. But not with my 6+ million bust and the image is On it's not hidden.
Is there anyway I can optimize Mudbox to display the image in viewport?
just installed GIMP 2.8.4 on iMac OS X 10.8.3 and image previews are not showing in preview panel. Had a look thro' docs and tried the suggested "click"/cmd click/ctl click to refresh/force refresh but no joy.
