Photoshop :: Image Is Not Showing Up Correctly On IPhone?
Nov 24, 2012
I have a background texture which was create in photoshop which I'm trying to display to iOS. I'm converting it to a PNG-24, and when I put it on the phone, the colors don't come out right (it's suppose to be yellow, instead comes our orangey). I've tried following the instructions here [URL]... changing some of the color settings and I still can't get it to work. The file is only 600kb large and is shown below:
In CS4 when I zoomed in on an image, the bar at the bottom would show the size of the image now on screen relative to the full size. i.e. if I go from 50% to 100% the bar would be half the size indicating that I am only seeing half the image. At least I think that was the case in CS4.
Here's and example from CS6.
Open an image, choose "Command-0" to make it fill the window, and the percentage is 48.16%. The bar at the bottom is not there, but if it was I assume it would fill the width of the window.I select "Command-+" to zoom in, and the percentage goes to 50%. The bar now fills about 30% of the window width indicating that I have zoomed in a whole lot, but I haven't. There is only a little bit of image on either side not visible, the rest is a huge grey area extending left right, and up and down. How do I make the bar indicate the true amount of zoom, and how do I get rid of that grey area?
Some of the images I have taken with my Olympus 7010 still camera, when opened up in PSPro X, are not showing correctly.A portion of the image is sectioned and the smaller part of the image has moved along horizontally, the effect being that for instance, a person's head is not on the body but further along the image. This only happens now and again but is annoying, the last time 2 out of 24 images were like this. They were loaded on to my pc via the camera's card,in a card reader.
I am working on iphone case packaging that will be printed so my project is in CMYK, all settings in CMYK. The colors on my screen look correct in CMYK but when I send it to the manufacturer it is then printing in a different (similiar) color. Can this be from my screens not being calibrated to CMYK?
I did a few searches for rgb to cmyk converters and I put in the rgb color that looks correct and it spits out a CMYK color that looks far different that the CMYK colors in illustrator. I am using CS6, I could use the converter for now but I would like to see the correct colors in the future if at all possible.
FontNav is still not showing all fonts correctly. My screen grab shows FN displaying Cambria without regular which as you can see from the CDraw window behind is definitely there on my system. At least now FN isn't preventing the font styles it can't see being used.
I have the latest update 3 of x6 and have deleted and remade FN's font database. The problem appears both on my Win7 64bit desktop and Win7 32bit laptop.
I have an assembly drawing that one of the components in the drawing views is not displaying properly.
What I mean by this is other component that are in front of portions of this said part the said part is not showing line segments as hidden or just removed (preferred).
If you look at the image below I have highlighted the portions that are not displaying properly.
I have tried changing the display section under the edit view. The other weird thing is this said part is showing up in the view as phantom lines when the properties clearly show it as a continuous line per the "By Layer" setting.
I am not sure if the LOD's involved speak to this, but this hasn't always been like this and I am not sure what changed it.
I have a psd mockup located here. [URL]... - the last one.
inserting image in a proper way to getting the correct final result. I tried already but no succes. How to center the inserted image to the box. How to make image rotate and that fits to iphone screen?
I am having a problem with Photoshop CS5 Extended V 12.1.
The problem: When I open some files, some shades of BLUE colour is displayed as BLACK However the same file opens and displays correctly if I open it using Photoshop Elements V9.0.3.When I save the file as JPEG and re-open it, the problem returns.Opening the JPEG file in any other application, including PS Elements, does not cause the problem
Source of files The original files came from a Nikon camera, saved in RAW format. It is possible that the original files were corrupted in some way as the shots had an unusual blue cast - which was easily resolved by Photoshop when I originally opened the RAW files.problem is not universal as I've not been able to reproduce it with any other files (RAW or JPEG).
I have calibrated my monitor display settings sRGB IEC61966-2.1 (default)
Other information: Adobe Photoshop Version: 12.1 Operating System: Windows 7 64-bitVersion: 6.1 Service Pack 1 System architecture: Intel CPU
I have CS6 (CC) on a Mac (2013). I wrote an action for saving my work. In my normal .psd file, I use multiple layers for editing, etc. I also use a group folder for my B&W conversion. I made an action to utilize the saved .psd file to save both the color and the B&W versions. The B&W action works completely fine. However, the Image Processor will not properly run the color action. It tells me that "The object “layer “B&W”” is not currently available." If I open a .psd file and run it manually, there are no issues.
what do I need to change to have the IP correctly run the action?
I saved an image attached to an email in jpg with 4000 x 2664 pixels to the organizer. Even though I designated jpg format, it was saved in png and was downsized to 150 x 100 pixels. How do I save the attachment in jpg format and not be downsized?
well - how to scale an image correct! I am pretty new to GIMP and i want to scale an image.
what is wanted: want to have an image with approx 300 x 200 pixel:
currently it (the image called Demo-image.jpg) has a size of approx 580 x 260 pixel.
First of all; i open a new window - (with 1080x540 pixel)
then i open my Demo-image.jpg in this newly created window - Question: should i drop in this Demo-image.jpg as a new layer or as a new picture. guess that this is pretty important. Unfortunatly i do not have any glue!?
Then i take the marker tool and mark the whole Demo-image.jpg - and afterward i choose (out of the toolbox -) the scaling-tool. Now i try to scale down the Demo-image.jpg.
If i am lucky then the scaling -dialogue pops up. Then i can see some values; height and width - What now happens is totally misterious: Whatever i do:
a. playing with the numbers (/height or width) b. taking the demo-image.jpg with the "mouse" and tryin to scale "manually by shifting the edges...
When I pull a regular 2-color photo from the web and use the tracing option, selecting ignore white, then expanding it into a path, it will not fill correctly. Instead of filling the object created, it fills the entire photo area of the original image. URL....
In the video, you'll notice that the fill option after expanding is marked with a "?".The goal here is to, after expanding, fill ONLY the image of the cursor.
My gimp isn't starting up it says GNU Image Manipulation Program has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly Windows will close the program and notify you if the solution is available.
I'm using GIMP 2.6.11 on Windows XP. I use "ALT + PRINT" to capture the active program's screen and "Edit -> Paste as -> New Image" to create a new image from the captured screen.
The problem is that the new image always shows extra lines (about 3-pixel wide) on the left side and clips the right side. I haven't verified it pixel-by-pixel, but it looks like what's clipped on the right side is displayed on the left side.
But the problem doesn't happen when I do "File -> Create -> Screen Shot -> Grab a single window"; it shows up nicely.
Also even when I use "ALT + PRINT" to capture, the problem doesn't happen when I paste it to a different program, such as Windows Paint or even WordPad; it happens only when I do "Paste as New Image" in GIMP.
i just installed photoshop on my new laptop and it does not show any images when i open them. like you can see in teh image that i posted i have a picture opened (its also so in a layer) i can use photoshop but i dont see anyting changing in the normal area( is does change in the layer box.)
I inserted an image into my AC drawing. I’m doing a drawing in 3D starting from this image, using solids and regions. When the visual style is set to Realistic I can see the image but when I change to X-Ray all I can see is black and white points instead of the image.
See attached file
Funny thing is that yesterday it was working perfectly, meaning I could see the image in X-Ray mode, but today it doesn’t work! I don’t understand.
I have already made a new drawing, check with other images formats, and it doesn’t work
See my attached screenshot--I've got an image that I pasted into Photoshop. You'll see that it is showing up in my layers palette, but not in the actual image on my screen.
I've taken an image, cut it up and two pieces are now new images. One works just fine. The other one, just doesn't show up. They were created exactly the same. It gets weirder. In Dreamweaver, hitting F12 for preview, it doesn't show up, but if I go to Inetpub>wwwroot>thesite>open the image shows up there. Go to upload, the image is gone. Have tried changing from jpg to gif with no effect. Even in the site control panel, the file shows up with no name or icon, but if you go to delete, it asks if you're sure you want to delete banner.gif. It sees it somehow, but not the way I need it to. Hopefully someone out there understands what I'm talking about. Timing here is crucial and I've spent a good day and night on this with no solution yet.
Everything draws correctly in shaded mode but it you are in wireframe mode with the object selected at the object level the grid and the selected object no longer draw.
How do I zoom into an image and still keep the canvas showing? I like to use my pen tool to create anchor points outside of my image, but when I zoom in to use the pen tool, I lose my canvas. I'm trying to use the magnetic free form pen tool and this is, so far, impossible.
When i try to adjust my View>Zoom Out while using the tool, the pen just creates anchor points to infinity. (This is hard for me to put into words and I hope that I am making myself understood.)
i'm a first time user of this photoshop CS4. When I open an image to edit it is 'tiled'. How do I turn this off to show the photo as it should be seen? driving me crazy.
I'm trying to import a photo straight from my iphone into photoshop but it is telling me it cannot complete request as it is not the right type of document.
Why are the image thumbnails in the channels pallet not showing up as grayscale images? They used to, and for some reason or another aren't any more for me. Instead, they are showing up red, green, and blue for each respective channel. I'm on Mac, using CS6.
I'm having this odd problem that I can't seem to figure out. I have a web image (gif format) with a transparent background (deleted the background layer before saving as a gif), and when the image is against a darker webpage, the text of the image (that is basically all the image is, just blended text) has white pixels around the edges of the text. Did I do something wrong when I deleted the background, or how I saved the file???
I'm starting to get pretty good at Action Scripts... the tough part I find is making it full-proof. Unselecting and re selecting layers to make sure everything works smoothly.
Here's an action script I did recently, Putting whatever image or screenshot you want onto a pair of iPhone 5s. Complete with glare and everything. Let me know what you think of the script! you can download it here:
When I take a photo with my iPhone 4S, which has an 8mp camera, and open it in Photoshop, the resolution is set a 72ppi. How do I get the photo into Photoshop at a resolution which will allow me to print it?
