Photoshop :: Tiled Image Showing When Opening Photo
Jan 17, 2009i'm a first time user of this photoshop CS4. When I open an image to edit it is 'tiled'. How do I turn this off to show the photo as it should be seen? driving me crazy.

May 12, 2012I am trying to open a photo in camera raw and the image always has a lot of red and blue in the picture? What can I do to avoid this. When I first started learning photoshop this did not happen?

Apr 29, 2013Just recently I've had a problem with CS6 where it creates a partial (tiled) image when "Edit In" from LR4 and when saving back to CS6 from HDR Efex Pro. THe image may have one or several rectangles which may be black, white, or part of the image that's in the wrong place if that makes any sense. All software is running with current updates.

Apr 1, 20142 days ago all was fine Lightroom worked like a champ... yesterday all I get are gray squares insted of photo image. I have reloaded Lightroom 5.3 no change......From the same usb harddrive all works great on my desktop computer.. With laptop the gray squares. I have tried the Synchronize folder no change tho numbers showed up in loup view.........but no images. From the stand alone hard drive I can get photos in Photoshop and BRIDGE.

What I'm trying to do is similar to putting text along a vector line, but I want to use an image that is tiled horizontally instead of text. I don't want the image to be tiled both horizontally & vertical, instead I want it to curve with the vector line like text does so that it looks like lace, either above or below the line, NOT along it. Is this possible in PSPX4?

I can drag and maximize so they appear in the middle, but on reopening another image they default to the top left again, I would like them to always open in the middle?

Dec 30, 2012So I have photoshop CS5, when I go and open a image and select it, in the preview thumbnail it shows the orignal file, without the edits but when I open the file it shows the cropped version. Is there any way I can get the original since it's showing in the thumbnail preview??

Apr 9, 2012I am trying to piece together a mock magazine cover using photos and text. If I open a photo it automatically sets it at 72pix/inch. I understand that to print quality text, the resolution needs to be a lot more. Is this photoshop settings or my camera?

When I go to File, Open and locate my photo, it only opens the picture to a small thumbnail in the layers box. How do I get the photo to open to the main area? How do I enlarge the tiny thumbnail? There is no image in the main work area. It seems so simple, but I just can't figure it out. I've tried lightening the background and adding a layer. Please help with this most basic question!

Apr 6, 2006i'm currently working on a header. I've created a tiling background image, 6*6px gif, and I was wondering whether it's possible to insert this, tiled, into the header image. The reason I wanted to do this is because the header contains gradients and looks nasty in gif, so I can't really use transparency. However I don't want to have to manually duplicate the tile a billion times.

Sep 6, 2013Using PSE 11 wanted to have 2 images on the screen to compare them.I hit Window > Images > Tile, and all my open images, about 15, were tiled.From there I was stuck. I don't know how to select the 2 images I want to compare, and I don't know how to get back to displaying just 1 image.I hit Window > Images, but there's no option to do anything with the tiled images.I opened the Photo Bin, right clicked on different thumbnails, but "Minimize" wasn't available.I ended up writing down all my open images and closing the program.It would be nice to be able to select what images are to appear simultaneously on the screen, or at least get back to having a single image.As it is, I don't see the use of Window > Images > Tile unless you just want to look at a cluttered screen before closing the program.

I used to work with CS3 where double-clicking in Bridge on a psd-file would open it in Photoshop. Now, when I double click in Bridge (CS6) it opens a "quick time pro" file, which I definitely don't want. When I use the right mouse to "place in Photoshop" it does so, but then automatically converts the file into a smart object, which I don't want either. What need I do to open a psd-file in Bridge as normal psd-file in Photoshop?

Then I go into the organize and try to go to edit and an error message comes up saying I need the trial to dowload to use this. I try clicking downlaod and nothing happens?
