Is there a way to make a real life image into a cartoon? That is, some technique that draws a black outline around the sharp edges, and colors regions of like color into completely homogenous color, and maybe adds shading to grades from light to dark?
Here's an example of what I mean. I did this in Photoshop but painstakingly. I want to know if there's an automatic way to do it.
I realize that the "flower of life" symbol is simply aligning circles of the same size. I would like to know the process of how to create this within xara. It is the exact *process* (to make this perfect) that I would like to learn, not necessarily "to create the image". URL....

how to scale life size models in AUTOCAD. I know that a draft should be in a 1:1 scale but lets say I want to draw a plane with exact dimensions measuring the wingspans. How would I set my limits in the command prompt to a specified area. I just don't quite understand the concept of how to calculate an accurate scale then plot the scale with a visible text/title scale upon printing.

I had to manually apply this effect at every frame in the Photoshop's Timeline, which takes a to long... I would love to do it to whole clips. What's the best workflow for that?
A way I tried w little success before was to split the clip into individual frames, (forget how to do that) & then apply a batch command to all the pics, I remember trying this method & it not working w/ Oil Paint effect.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI am completely new to gimp I have an image that is 8in x 6in. It was previously edited in Photoshop on another computer thats how I know the actual size. When I load it into gimp, the image size is in real life the same, I can take a ruler to the screen and it measures 8in x 6in at 100% zoom. However, according to gimps rulers, the image is over 11in x 7in. So I measured what is one inch on gimps ruler and it is actually 3/8in in real life. When I create a grid to overlay the image, through Filters-Render-Patterns-Grid and I make the settings to be 1in x 1in, it too shows up based on gimps ruler measurements. I have the ruler set up in inches but a gimp inch is not a real life inch, and this shows up when I scale the image to 8in x 6in it actually makes the image 5 1/2in x 3 3/4in in real life when printed out. How can I get gimp to display a real life inch and how can I get my images to print out based on real life inches.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm near completion of a year long video project. I inserted several HD video clips into my VS X4 time line which includes many other HD/SD and .jpg clips along with transitions, music, etc. For effect, I used the tool in VS to speed up two or three of these clips by about 300%. Without the effect, the scene doesn't work so I'd like to keep it this way.
I noticed that when playing the clip in the time line after the effect is added, it plays very jumpy and jerky. Without the effect it plays fine as do all the other clips in my project. I am guessing the effect puts a strain on the system but mostly, my system is fine. However, the hard drive may be the culprit and not able to get the data fast enough to provide a smooth video. Is that possible? My cpu (core 2 quad Q6600 clocked to 3.0 g), new video card, memory, and monitor (HD certified) are all new and well within spec.
My question: Do you think the stuttering video will also be present in the final burn of a Blu-Ray? Or is this just a function of the preview window?

View 1 Replies View RelatedStarted using premier pro I have imported some video and all looks fine but when you hover cursor over the video it plays the video with a gradient map effect even though an effect has not been added. when you place video into the timetime the video preview playes with this effect also but when I have exported video the video is exported as normal without this effect.

In Vegas you can apply effects to video in three ways:
1. A whole clip in the project media bin (automatically applying such effects to all timeline events using this clip).
2. Individual timeline events.
3. Entire video tracks (automatically applying such effects to every clip on the track).
Is this possible in Premiere CS5? I find it hard to believe that it's not possible since it is such a useful thing to do. For example, what if you have a bunch of footage that you want to look grainy but you don't want to apply the same effect to every timeline event from the clips because it is time consuming and creates many sources of change if you want to tweak the effect settings?
I want to add a skip frame effect to my video. Which tool should I use?!

I'm making some graphics to be printed on a car. I have some lines with outer glow on them, but Illustrator won't render these unless I use 72DPI in raster effects reslution. I would like to go higher, but it won't give me anything. Guessing it's to heavy for Illustrator maybe? Is there anything I can do about this? I'm making my graphics in 1:1 scale, but I do it in a lower scale since it's just vector art anyway, however how would that effect my glow? Since it's a raster effect.

Repro: Import any footage to a new project - any resolution or frame rate. Create new composition from clip. Type in "Crop" in effects search Double click to load it. Result is an effect called "Wigglerama" & "transform" gets loaded instead of the required "Crop" effect

I recently purchased Video Studio Pro X3 - and after going through the knowledge base and product read me, I have been unable to find an answer to the following problem I have:
PROBLEM:
I have a number of videos (HD 1080p) that I have recorded. Each video is on average 50 minutes in length - what I want to do it to be able to do is to slice this video into 10 x 5 minute videos (based on topics discussed in the video), (so essentially clip the video into these segments and edit each one) and then when producing the video file - actually create 10 separate video files (all with editing in place) instead of one single large file.
As far as I have been able to work out, I need to go through the whole file, clip relevant sections, edit them, and then save project. I then need to go trim the saved file 10 times, to extract each time the single 5 minute video I want to create. This is a fairly manual and time consuming process, hence my hope that I can create 10 files based on the clips I have made in the larger 50 minute file in one go.
as I have 30 videos to edit, so looking for ways to save time!
I am trying to "erase" extra video and show only 1 of the moving objects in the video .on an athletic field we are trying to show only the movements of 1 player...is it possible to "delete all of the other players movements and just show one player and then overlay that video on the empty field?
