I realize that the "flower of life" symbol is simply aligning circles of the same size. I would like to know the process of how to create this within xara. It is the exact *process* (to make this perfect) that I would like to learn, not necessarily "to create the image". URL....

What I would like to know how to do is to insert symbols or "Special characters" (such as letters of the alphabet with attention marks) i.e., as in the ' above the e in the word entre (copied and pasted this...) is there an easy way to do this in text boxes or should I continue to do it as I'm currently doing - opening a copy of OpenOffice Write or MS Word and selecting the symbol/character I want and copying and pasting it into the text box in Xara. how to scale life size models in AUTOCAD. I know that a draft should be in a 1:1 scale but lets say I want to draw a plane with exact dimensions measuring the wingspans. How would I set my limits in the command prompt to a specified area. I just don't quite understand the concept of how to calculate an accurate scale then plot the scale with a visible text/title scale upon printing.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI am completely new to gimp I have an image that is 8in x 6in. It was previously edited in Photoshop on another computer thats how I know the actual size. When I load it into gimp, the image size is in real life the same, I can take a ruler to the screen and it measures 8in x 6in at 100% zoom. However, according to gimps rulers, the image is over 11in x 7in. So I measured what is one inch on gimps ruler and it is actually 3/8in in real life. When I create a grid to overlay the image, through Filters-Render-Patterns-Grid and I make the settings to be 1in x 1in, it too shows up based on gimps ruler measurements. I have the ruler set up in inches but a gimp inch is not a real life inch, and this shows up when I scale the image to 8in x 6in it actually makes the image 5 1/2in x 3 3/4in in real life when printed out. How can I get gimp to display a real life inch and how can I get my images to print out based on real life inches.

i want to create functionality that is, when i click rect-1 box, i should be play "label 1", when i click rect-2, it should play "label 2" & when i click rect-3 it shuld play "label 3".

I am using WinXP/Home, Adobe RGB 1998 Color profile for both the image and Photoshop CS3. I print on Epson R2400, have freshly and properly installed inks and nozzles are not clogged. I have an image of a blue flower, and I do mean blue, not purple and not lavender. It is definitely blue on the monitor. It is blue in Bridge. It is blue in its jpg format and in its .psd format. When I print using the printer with Photoshop as color manager and print management off, the result is a purple flower. All the other colors in the image seem to be fine---green is green, yellowish is yellowish. When I print using printer color management(settings all properly done), NOT Photoshop's, I end up with a blue flower! Anyone with any ideas at all why this happens? I sure would appreciate knowing! I can do the workaround by letting the printer manage color, but seems to me that Photoshop really ought to be doing this. I have not noted problems with any other colors...only blue!

I've had a number of basic functions not work ever since I first installed, such as the Ctrl +/- not working, the [ and ] brush size adjustment funtion not working, the nudge facility of the arrow keys in Move Tool mode not working, and in Text Tool mode, the arrow keys do not move the cursor, but instead create spurious charachters like &'%# etc.

I am tryng to create a nautical letter Y symbol. It is a yellow square with red diagonal lines inside it.
I have started with a yellow square then created red lines above and then tried every permutation of the Shape tool, but I cannot crop the red lines to fit inside the boundaries of the yellow square. I have tried with the yellow square on top and under the red lines, but every one of the shape tools seems to either cut a shape out of the yellow square or cut the middle out of the red lines instead of cutting the red lines off around the inner edge of the yellow square. (I hope I am making myself understood). I don't want to have to shape each line individually to fit within the boundaries of the yellow square.
(I tried to upload the cdr file for someone to try but it was 393kb and this forum would not let me upload more than 256kb.)

I am using the code from Introducing the AutoCAD® Mechanical API, Wayne Brill – Autodesk URL....While this code interactively selects the point and the line (dimension in my case), I don't want to use interaction. Instead I have lisp variable.
I have used the vlax.cls to convert the point to a variant and handle to an object. (I could use Users variables instead with more complex code). This works well but the code fails at the line:

This is because the method requires IMcadLine object I have IAcadLine2 object
Usually I use the TextBoxes. But its text would not change.

Joelle's pictures show an incredible mastery of achieving a desired depth of field (aka perspective).Look at the attached images. Both have flat lighting. Neither have any artifacts of lighting, placement, backgrounds, etc. to achieve or remove the sense of depth.
Yet the first image is distinctly three dimensional. The second image is distinctly two dimensional (oriental style). It looks like magic to me.

View 2 Replies View RelatedCreate a form with combo box that user can choose one option for the line notes, would be 15 lines with 15 combos, and if necessary the user should be ale to type something insted of using that pre defined option from combo.
I have 2 ideas to make that work, untill now im trying with this 1º but nothing yet.
First Idea:
Create some (15) boolean parameters to enable each line of this NOTE and when the user choose or type one option, that text go directly to one textbox into a Symbol with the 15 lines. I actually dont know how to make this connection, tried some stuffs that found here on forum, but some are too complex.
Second idea:
Instead of create parameters to control everything, i would create all the controls by iLogic, but that is harder then create many and many parameters ? And by this way, i dont know how to conect one INPUTLIST BOX with a pre defined Global form, or, is easier to create a form by ilogic (if that is even posible ofc) ? And still dont know how to make the connection with the chosen option and the text box.
That is just to "centralize" all my notes, that can be variable for each drawing, that way i dont need to have too much symbols for each kind of note, or even have to type everytime that i need one diffent. Would be nice if the user could just choose them in the right sequence he wants.
With iLogic, define some pre notes and when the user choose one option some notes are chosen too.The idea now is: Create a text direct inside on Sketched Symbol OR edit some textfields inside the Symbol.
The symbol could be one existent, so its not necessary to create it.
I got a code to create the text, and that works perfectly! Just what im trying now is create this text into the Symbol... I've tried many ways with reference from: URLs....The code to create the tet im usnig is this one:
