After upgrading I realized I am missing some external plugins I had installed.

Those I am missing are ones that I had in an external folder that you could set in preferences. The ability to set an Additional Plugin Folder is gone. Can I set an external plugin folder?
I've got about 10,000 photos that I've moved in lightroom by creating a folder called 'pictures' on the external drive using the left folders panel. I then selected all the images in the root drive on my computer and dragged them onto the 'pictures' folder on the external drive, and I expected the folder structure to come with it. Only after I realised that they had all moved into one folder. Is there a way of moving the images back into a structure without manually doing it? Here's a screenshot.....

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhy on earth would Adobe remove the ability to point to a folder for additional plug-ins? I'm sure they will have lots of good reasons. However, the standard folder is embedded in the AppData folder in Windows. That folder resides on the system (C:) drive. I always install Plugs in a folder on a separate drive on my system (D:) so as to make it easy to manage and navigate.
View 2 Replies View Relatedmakes upgrades/re-installations smoother and it is very simple to disable them for troubleshooting. If you disable the selection of the dedicated folder, you can compare performance. IF that solves your problem you can tilde them all out and re-enable them one by one to find the specific conflict.

I copied my PS CS5 Plug Ins folder into my CS6Â one & it started having problems opening & errors... what the basic/original ones should be in PS CS^6 Plug In folder?

View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen I add an addtional plugin using preferences-plugins in CS6 the plugin shows up in cs6 but my active tools will pulsate or vibrate around when I try to use them. If I uncheck the preferences-plugins- additoonal plugins and reboot the pulsating of the tools ceases. Any way to stop the pulsating tools?

Done this over and over 4x and the Plug-ins are still missing from the new installation. It is like the Cloud is only re-installing the previous bad version. I also check don't migrate and don't save preferences.

With AutoCAD 2012 I could dump my LISP routines that I use a lot and they would be auto-loaded in any drawing that I opened. I loved it....
With 2013, I try the same thing and it doesn't work. And from what I have been reading, I have to make a folder sturcture with the suffix ".bundle" and create an .xml file in order for these to run....
The ability of the  ApplicationPlugins folder from 2012 was awesome.Is there a way to make 2013 act like 2012 for this folder?I have checked my variables and they are set the same as 2012:

When I click the Plugin manager, LR tells med that the plugins are installed and working, but they do not show up in the export dialog. The actual plugin files are stored in the folder C:Program FilesAdobeAdobe Photoshop Lightroom 4.2, the program folder.
I was initially getting an error message when attempting to open Illustrator 6 on my Mac (running 10.6.8). An unknown error has occurred (4294967253). Adobe Illustrator will now quit. I read a post where the user was to select shift+option+command right after booting up. When I did that, a dialog box popped up asking if I'd like to participate in submitting feedback to Adobe and asked for my profession, location, industry, etc. It then attempted to open a new file but gave the following error: The document 'Print.ai' contains elements that are managed by plug-ins that are not currently available. You can delete or expand these elements but you cannot manipulate them in other ways. The missing plug-ins are listed below. Stroke Offset Live Effect (StrokeOffset.aip). I can open an existing file, but no tools are available to edit with and I get additional errors regarding missing plug-ins. My Mac has also been running a bit slow lately as well...not sure if the two issues are connected, but I'm willing to try anything to meet an impending deadline. I have plenty of space remaining on my computer, so that can't be it.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI opened a new file...Then I tried to place a jpg and it wouldn't allow me. I started getting some missing plugin errors, tried to relaunch illustrator and I cannot. I get the Missing Required plugins PDF Format.aip error. I also cannot re-install as I don't have back-up disk, I work for a non-profit always on a budget.

I have a number of old external drives in "My Folders" lightroom thinks are still active mostly because the computer has assigned a new drive letter to the same drive several times. I have re-installed CS5 but no returning email has arrived from Adobe confirming instillation activty has been completed.
3D option is not on my menu bar , and none of the tool setting show 3D options either. All Screen shots I have seen of Photoshop CS6 have this and I don't.

So I need (again I think) to Deactivate it on PC #1 before I can activate it on PC #2. The online help says that under the Help menu I should see a Deactivate option. But I don't. The options under Help are Photoshop Help, About Photoshop, About Plugin... , Patent and Legal notices, System Info, Photoshop Online, and a whole load of How-to's about using the product. Can anyone advise how I can deactivate and move this installation? The product version is 10.0.1 and the OS is WinXP SP2.

It creates the folder I tell it to create then it create a duplicate folder called "imported on, date, year" Questions: Why is this happening? Is there a setting in LR I am missing. 1) You can't import more than one picture at a time, externally connected simultaneously in the document.
2) If you move the picture within it, in a new folder, there is the possibility of assigning the new path to more 'photos at the same time but only one at a time.
So if I have 100 photos to be updated with the new path I have to do with each photo. While it would be much more logical to assign the same path to more 'selected photos.
I am moving my pictures folder to an external drive due to lack of space on my c: drive. What do I have to do so that Lightroom will find these files?
