When I right click on an image in Lr3 and select 'edit in', the expanded menu (below where you specify external editors) shows plugins that are no longer installed. How do I remove these items from the list?
View 2 RepliesI am trying to access the edit original (edit with) option to edit a photo that has not been edited yet. I right click and go through the edit menu and does not appear or is not available? Would I have to reopen it manual in photoshop or is there a way around this to access that setting? it sometimes does not appear on my already edited photos.
I would prefer not to open each photo again, as some files i do not have and were imported into the document with another computer.
Just upgraded from Lightroom V4.4 to V5. After this upgrade I find that I can no longer select the option "Edit in Photoshop", the option is grayed out and is not selectable. I have Photoshop CS6 currently installed and don't have plans to upgrade to Photoshop CC (out of my price range).
If Lightroom V5 only interfaces with Photoshop CC now?
While editing a raw file from Lightroom to Photoshop, I checked the "don't ask again" box in the dialog box of "render in lightroom" or "open anyway" in Photoshop. Now I lost the option. How do I reset that to allow me the option each time. I have it stuck on "render in lightroom and I can't go to Photoshop now.

Those I am missing are ones that I had in an external folder that you could set in preferences. The ability to set an Additional Plugin Folder is gone. Can I set an external plugin folder?
I was just wondering if it is at all possible to edit what shows up in the right-click options box within PS. I am Using PS CS5 12.1 at work and if I could add a few things into this options box, such as the align-left/right/center options, it would really work with my workflow. I already have some actions set for various functions, but if I could add some extras for quick access via right-click it would make my world and my day so much brighter!

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am a long time user of CorelDRAW but have been moving more and more to Adobe CS. In part because it is the standard in the graphic design industry but also because Corel always seems to have some issue. My latest issue is when I select an imported image in a CorelDraw file and go to the top menu, I can't select edit bitmap. The option is grayed out. It's a new install on winxp-pro. I've used this tool over many years and questioned why Adobe could not launch photoshop and edit embedded images from within Illustrator. It still can't, but it can edit linked files, a danger if you only want to apply changes to the image in your current work file. Corel's ability to edit embedded images is a great feature. Why it does not work has got me stumped. jpg files are associated with Photo-Paint, I close and reopen Corel and still no capability to edit images from within CorelDraw.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI imported a number of Powerpoint slides into VideoStudio Pro X6 and am now recording voice audio for them. My problem is: I don't know how to stretch each slide's duration to match its audio. By default, all the slides came in with a 3 sec duration. I can increase each to a max of 6 sec, but that's not long enough for my audio.
I've dug around the internet and watched tutorials on Corel's site, but they don't work. Everything I've looked at (even page 60 in the User's Guide for X5) says that to change a photo's duration, double-click it and select "Speed/Time-Lapse" on the Edit screen.
When I double-click a photo, there isn't a "Speed/Time-Lapse" option on my Edit screen (see image). So how am I supposed to change the slide's duration?

I no longer have the option to edit iparts or iassemblies via speadsheet (excel). I'm using Excel 2007. (INV 2012 Sp1)
Is excel functionality part of an addin that I might have turned off accidentally?
I believe it was working in 2012 but haven't really noticed it not working till after Sp1 install till now..

I was trying to get rid of text and change it. I have no clue how to use this product but thought I would mess around with it. I think I really messed up. I clicked on the letter and then drug to the garbage can thinking I was deleting the text. It said permanently deleted and I now don't have the text option under content. How do I get it back?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have some duplicate plugins that I no longer use and want to delete (for example, two extra versions of the Smugmug publish plugin after I installed a newer one in a different folder, Nikon tether since I don't have Nikon, etc.). But the while the Add button is active, the Remove button is grayed out. I tried both enabled and disabled, but then I realized that Remove is grayed out for all the plugins.
I also tried opening the plugin to edit it. Then the Remove button is not grayed out, but while clicking it does break the connection, it doesn't remove the plugin.
LR 4.0 on Windows 7.

When I click the Plugin manager, LR tells med that the plugins are installed and working, but they do not show up in the export dialog. The actual plugin files are stored in the folder C:Program FilesAdobeAdobe Photoshop Lightroom 4.2, the program folder.
I have a problem with referencing an appropriate instance of Ps from Lr. I don't know too much how this works with Lr & Mac, or how it happened, but I apparently have several instances of Ps referencing different plugins, and Lr's default references the wrong one.
History: I tried the Topaz Labs plugins but ended up pruchasing and installing Nik's plugins. I followed Topaz instructions for uninstalling the plugins, but they are still showing up in Ps instances I cannot find.
The appropriate instance of Ps in in my Mac's launch tray, which calls up the app located in the folder '/Applications/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop CS5.1'. If I create an additional Lr external editor that points at this app it works properly. However, the default external editor (Ps) opens up another instance of Ps which does not include Nik plugins, but rather Topaz Labs plugins.
Further, if I try to open a image file from Finder ('open with') I get an "application moved" message (update or not). If I choose either 'update' or 'not to update' it opens an instance of Ps that includes both Topaz and Nik plugins. The message is mysterious, but at least I get an instance of Ps with the plugins I want.
Aside from the mystery, how can I get Lr to reference Ps that will include the Nik plugins?? Also feel free to contribute to the mystery.
I am relatively new to Lightroom and I can't seem to locate my OnOne plugins. The interface is a bit different from Photoshop and where I think it should be it isn't.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm running on LR 5.3, but this problem persisted in LR 5.2. Working in PS CS6 and Camera Raw 8.3. RAWs are NEFs from a Nikon D600.
I can't figure out what happened but suddenly I am not getting prompts when moving from LR to PS to "Edit Original" or "Edit a Copy".
I reset all dialog warnings and nothing. The prompt will appear for TIFFs but not for NEFs.
It's kind of pointless to not be able to choose to edit an original or copy with LR adjustments for a RAW when they are the file types that retain my RAW editing information.
Plus, when I do click on a NEF and choose to edit in PS without the prompt (it will appear with lightroom adjustments, not as original), it will open a second icon for photoshop on my dock, and prompt me to continue trial? I have a version of PS installed with the serial plugged in, and in LR "edit in PS" for a TIFF will open this primary version.
Am using Lightroom 3.6 and the plug in manager says plugins are loaded and running but they don't show up in the Export to menu.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am on an iMac meeting all of the LR4 spec requirements and then some. I just installed the release copy of LR4 this morning and have been playing around with it. I just discovered that the "Edit in" feature does not work at all. This worked fine in my previous version of LR 2.6
When I click on "Edit in" Adobe Elements 10 or Topaz Fusion Express (to call up Adjust or B&W Effects) nothing happens. No error message. No popup. Nada. I went back to my prior version of LR and things still work there.
I also tried the "Edit in" Elements option on my Windows 7 PC 64 bit version of LR4 and at least with Elements it seems to work. I have not installed Fusion Express on the PC yet so I don't know if that works or not.
Asus motherboard, i7, 930. 24 gig Kingston HyperX ram. Windows 7 Professional 64 bit. 5 SATA hard drives: 3 are WD 7200s; Driive C is a Plextor SSD and Drive G (where LR and Photoshop are installed), is an Intel SSD.
I've had LR 3 and 4 and 4.1, 4.2 and 4.3. I have several hard drives. All the LR programs are installed on my G drive.
This time when I installed the update to 4.4, it did install on the G drive, but instead of creating a folder in Program Files, all the files, including the executables, simply installed in a long long row under Program Files and under the folders for the previous versions of LR. It did indeed install 4.4, but it's a mess and I can't figure out why there was no folder created.
When going into LR my copyright is gone and all the various styles of copyright I'd created in the Watermarks folder are unavailable. I also have 2 Nik Filters and 2 Topaz filters - they too are unavailable from the upgrade to 4.4. I also had a plugin for Zenfolio which is also missing and I can't find any plugin folder. Where is the plugin folder supposed to be?
It has never been clear to me which folders are supposed to reside on the same disk as the main LR program and which folders can be kept on another drive. Perhaps this is part of why I lost so much information.
I do have backups and I've been able to retrieve a lot - but I would like to be able to have the correct folders in the correct directories and drives. For example, when I updated to the new camera raw and dng, it was installed on my drive C, as it usually is. But the LR 4.4 files installed in a big list, although fortunately on the correct drive. And I have to reset all my settings, all my watermarks, my plugins and my filters.
Why did this happen and what can I do to repair it properly both for the best functioning of LR 4.4 and to not have this repeat itself with the next upgrade.
My filename date repeats when I edit the photos in plugins (NIK plugins) from within lightroom. For example, if the file name is 20120402DescansoGardens and I edit in four different plugins, the file names comes back as 20120402-20120402-20120402-20120402-20120402DescansoGardens.

I have edited about 100 photographs over the past few weeks using Lightroom & Photoshop - stupidly, I was concentrating so much on ensuring that my images had a watermark on them, i managed NOT to keep a non-watermark version for sales.
Is there any way I can remove the watermark that is on the JPEG file without having to go through the hassle of re-editing them as it is unlikely I will be able to get the same results as before.
I should say that all of my files have been exported OUT of Lightroom & into a seperate file on Windows Explorer.
can TIF files with transparency be flattened in LR (turning transparent areas into white canvas) without lossing the history of previous edits?
