Photoshop :: Possible To Edit In Right Click Option Box
Jul 24, 2012
I was just wondering if it is at all possible to edit what shows up in the right-click options box within PS. I am Using PS CS5 12.1 at work and if I could add a few things into this options box, such as the align-left/right/center options, it would really work with my workflow. I already have some actions set for various functions, but if I could add some extras for quick access via right-click it would make my world and my day so much brighter!
I am trying to access the edit original (edit with) option to edit a photo that has not been edited yet. I right click and go through the edit menu and does not appear or is not available? Would I have to reopen it manual in photoshop or is there a way around this to access that setting? it sometimes does not appear on my already edited photos.
I would prefer not to open each photo again, as some files i do not have and were imported into the document with another computer.
it is a long click (click and press) or is a double click, or is a double long click..I suggest having a RENAME option on right click as well as using normal double click for renaming (one click select clip in viewport, double edit the name). If the library is wide open (details), double click can have the present behavior (open timeline and select the clip)
How do I change the right click and edit association so a jpg opens for editing in CS6 instead of CS5 in Windows 7? I'd like to keep both programs installed and Windows no longer offers the ability to edit the "edit" association.
The problem I am having is that every single file I open looks like this. Once I click transform (which I have to) the layer no longer allows me to click and edit the layer. I like to re-size my images in relation to the multiple images I place on a document. My previous version of photoshop did not create a transform box with each new file. How can I adjust photoshop so that it doesn't do this. I am using CS5 on a PC.
Just upgraded from Lightroom V4.4 to V5. After this upgrade I find that I can no longer select the option "Edit in Photoshop", the option is grayed out and is not selectable. I have Photoshop CS6 currently installed and don't have plans to upgrade to Photoshop CC (out of my price range).
If Lightroom V5 only interfaces with Photoshop CC now?
While editing a raw file from Lightroom to Photoshop, I checked the "don't ask again" box in the dialog box of "render in lightroom" or "open anyway" in Photoshop. Now I lost the option. How do I reset that to allow me the option each time. I have it stuck on "render in lightroom and I can't go to Photoshop now.
URL... and completing all options related to the Mac, the "Edit in Photoshop..." still does not appear as a clckable option in my Lightroom 4.3 program which has all the current updates. Also, my Photoshop Elements 11 program also has all the current updates.
Please note that in the interest of time, that all of the "solutions" were attempted in the above mentioned link.
Just getting used to elements 11 - the tilt shift in the guided edit does not change when I click on the icon, then click and drag. I am sure I am following instructions correctly, but nothing changes when I try to rezone the area I wish to have showing without blur. I could do in operation in the expert mode, but it should work in guided edit.
My friend here at work can't seem to double click on anything to edit it. If he single clicks it to say change the layer it wont change it. We have looked in our 'options' menu and everything is set up correct for double clicking. we have re started his computer but that didnt seem to work either.
I was trying to get rid of text and change it. I have no clue how to use this product but thought I would mess around with it. I think I really messed up. I clicked on the letter and then drug to the garbage can thinking I was deleting the text. It said permanently deleted and I now don't have the text option under content. How do I get it back?
Had problems with left click text edit function not working?
I am using AutoCAD 2011 and I have been always used the Left click double click to edit text and now its not working. Is there a setting I'm not aware of that I can change.
My office has just installed 2012 on a couple of extra machines. Our installs were fine before but for some reason we can't double click to edit text or attributes any more. I've checked MTEXTED = INTERNAL and DBLCLKEDIT = 1 but that's not it. We can type ED or ATTEDIT to edit attributes normally, or MTEDIT to edit mtext but we don't get the normal text formatting bar or ruler. It's just looks like were using the dxtext editor, but it's not dtext.
I am using 2008. In previous releases I was able to double click on a feature in the tree and edit any dimension I wanted to, including the "extrusion dim". If I wanted to just edit the extrusion, I would RMB and edit feature. Now when I DBL Click in the tree, it is the same as the RMB used to be. Now to edit any dim other than the extrusion, I have to edit sketch.
Say I am moving a text box with the arrow keys and decide to edit it. To do so, I would have to leave the arrow keys and reach for the mouse to execute the text edit. How do I edit from the keyboard?
2011-10-26 The "Edit In" context menu that appears when I right-click an image in the Develop module has forgotten about my NIK and Topaz filters. Still in my C:Documents and SettingsOwnerApplication DataAdobeLightroomExternal Editor Presets directory are these files

I must've changed something in Edit > Preferences or Edit > Catalog Settings, but I don't know what. how to restore these tools to the "Edit In" menu without having to reinstall them?
I was just wondering if you can customize your interface so you can edit note labels (or any labels for that matter) by double clicking. I've already gone throught the cui files but I can't find anything. Am I missing something. c3d 2007
I am a long time user of CorelDRAW but have been moving more and more to Adobe CS. In part because it is the standard in the graphic design industry but also because Corel always seems to have some issue. My latest issue is when I select an imported image in a CorelDraw file and go to the top menu, I can't select edit bitmap. The option is grayed out. It's a new install on winxp-pro. I've used this tool over many years and questioned why Adobe could not launch photoshop and edit embedded images from within Illustrator. It still can't, but it can edit linked files, a danger if you only want to apply changes to the image in your current work file. Corel's ability to edit embedded images is a great feature. Why it does not work has got me stumped. jpg files are associated with Photo-Paint, I close and reopen Corel and still no capability to edit images from within CorelDraw.
When I right click on an image in Lr3 and select 'edit in', the expanded menu (below where you specify external editors) shows plugins that are no longer installed. How do I remove these items from the list?
Every time I double click on single line text it brings up the properties. I have searched online and made the changes to certain toggle settings and still nothing. I'm not doing something right I just can't figure it out. I know "DDEDIT" can do the trick. But, I know double clicking has worked on previous version and I want it to work on my 2013 version.
