I was just wondering if you can customize your interface so you can edit note labels (or any labels for that matter) by double clicking. I've already gone throught the cui files but I can't find anything. Am I missing something. c3d 2007

and the Noun/Verb is checked . When I look at the CIVIL CUI, I do not have any double - clicks but the ACAD CUI does - this is load too right.
Every time I double click on single line text it brings up the properties. I have searched online and made the changes to certain toggle settings and still nothing. I'm not doing something right I just can't figure it out. I know "DDEDIT" can do the trick. But, I know double clicking has worked on previous version and I want it to work on my 2013 version.

We have looked in our 'options' menu and everything is set up correct for double clicking. we have re started his computer but that didnt seem to work either.

Using LT 2014 on Win 7 Pro.
Recently got a new PC and due to problems with regular LT crashes I have recreated my customizations etc. from scratch.
Finally seem to have got everything working OK and how I it was on my old PC, other than one minor issue.
I have edited the CUI so that the "old" attribute editor (ATTEDIT) is launched rather than the enhanced (EATTEDIT) version.
However after double clicking a block a further third click is required to select block/launch editor.
Editing CUI back to EATTEDIT works ok with only a double click required.
My office has just installed 2012 on a couple of extra machines. Our installs were fine before but for some reason we can't double click to edit text or attributes any more. I've checked MTEXTED = INTERNAL and DBLCLKEDIT = 1 but that's not it. We can type ED or ATTEDIT to edit attributes normally, or MTEDIT to edit mtext but we don't get the normal text formatting bar or ruler. It's just looks like were using the dxtext editor, but it's not dtext.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI am using 2008. In previous releases I was able to double click on a feature in the tree and edit any dimension I wanted to, including the "extrusion dim". If I wanted to just edit the extrusion, I would RMB and edit feature. Now when I DBL Click in the tree, it is the same as the RMB used to be. Now to edit any dim other than the extrusion, I have to edit sketch.

The type of label I am using is a general note label that displays our finish grade profile elevation in plan view. What I am trying to do is add a value to that label for the TC elevation and G at the ROW. I noticed in the settings tab of the tool space, surfaces has an expression button that has what I want but I am not seeing that under General/Label Styels/Note. Is it possible to right my own expression? We are using Civil 3D 2008 with Windows XP.

I have note labels in one drawing. An Elevation style that list the elevation of the insertion point. The label texts are dragged to new locations. When I xref this drawing in to another. The label text shows at both the insertion points and the dragged locations. What's going on??
I've made sure the labels aren't duplicated on another layer. If I change the layer of the dragged text and do an Xlist in the drawing they're xrefed in to. The dragged text list on the layer I've change it to. The text in the original position lists on layer 0, which is the default layer for creation.

Any way to customize the double-click of a block attribute to run the _ATTIPEDIT command on the targeted attribute? I know this can be achieved by holding Ctrl & then double clicking, but I am often using my hand else where on the keyboard, or even more often, when entering many values into attributes, I am using my left hand to keep my place on a sheet of paper as I scroll down it and enter in the values.

Double clicking does in fact work properly, so there should be no reason the default cui (C3d.cuix) does not show any commands in the "double click actions" option.

1.I can't double click on dims to add / edit text. I've added / changed the cui double click settings but that does work.
2.The new array command does bring up the associated ribbon panel after the array has been created. I can get this to work while using Civils as AutoCAd, but not as Civils?
I have altered my CUI so when I double click on civil 3d objects it opens up their properties for quick editing. Never had a problem pre 2013 and I am sure this is something I did but am lost.
Every time I double click on any object it just opens up the properties box. It skips right over my double click customization.
is there an option that im missing to allow me to edit attributes in a block? i have set QAFLAGS to 0 and my pickfirst is set to 1.

I'm not exactly sure what happened, but suddenly my Type Tool can not select type by double clicking or click and drag any more.
I'm using Illustrator CS4 (14.0.0) on a MacPro with OSX 10.6.8.
Since we updated to CC, I have a very good chance of this not working evey time I try it. Maybe 10% of the time, it will select the word/line as it should. My prefs are identical for this feature as they have for the past several version of InDesign. My partner also has trouble with copy/paste in InDesign and Illustrator as well.
View 20 Replies View RelatedIn the drawings for my company, we will list notes along once side of the page using multiline text as a numbered list. Each number corresponds to a label I then use to mark up my drawings. My label is usually some sort of symbol with a number inside of it. Pretty standard. My problem is, when I want to add a note somewhere in the middle of this list, the numbering changes for everything after the insertion point and I have to go through the drawing and update each label individually. On complicated drawings I want to make sure I don't miss updating a label or see if there is a faster way to update everything. Is there a way to have a label of some sorts with a number that automatically updates to match a certain note so if I add a note in between or delete a note I don't have to change every single note?

I am trying to get the correct total mass of a particular assy variant in a view label. I am trying to avoid using I-Assemblies due to the length of time it takes to set up and inevitable fudging of parts lists with phantom parts when things go awry. Anyway, to get around that clumbsiness, I use a combination of suppresed parts, assembly Level of detail (LOD) and View representations to switch parts on and off for various assembly variants of a theme (which works fine for me). see my "Mass of LOD's.jpg" attachment which should fully explain the parts list filtering and what I WISH to achieve. My objective is to get the correct MASS per Level of Assy and View Rep (both called the same) to be automated, correctly (as per LOD/VIEW REP), ideally, in the view label or in a leader note. I reckon I was able to do this way back in MDT? Any enhancement in Inventor 2013?

I'm trying to edit my label style so that the bearing has no decimal places and the distance has two. I thought it would be similar to editing the contour label precision but it doesn't seem to be that way.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've just upgraded to ACAD 2012 from 2009 and have copied over my CUI settings and getting different results when Double clicking on regular ( not Dynamic ) blocks. The macro for this i've set to ^C^C_refedit.
This previously would automatically select the NESTED block in the list of reference names if double clicked on in the drawing, however now in 2012 the parent block is always selected and i need to hunt through the list to find the actual nested block that im wanting to edit.
Is there a setting / variable that has changed in the upgrades? I have Automatically select all nested objects selected in the Reference edit dialog box and all other options match my 2009 as far as i can tell.

The pre-loaded double click options in the CUI were getting really annoying, so I deleted all the double click attributes (while in the CUI tree) to have a clean slate to work with, but now I can't figure out how to add DDATTE to work on a double click.
I followed the Help guide and got all the way until it told me to "drag the command you want to add the double click action in the Customizations In <file name> pane", but I cannot find the DDATTE command in the Command List.
