Using 2012 in my CUI I could set the general note label to use the double click function. When I double clicked on any label I'd get the editor box pop up. Now in 2013 for some strange reason that no longer seems to work.

I have noticed that when I click on any button on the Ribbon Panels it now requires more that one click to activate the button.
View 9 Replies View RelatedWhen I go into CUI & try to customize the double click for say line & set it to bring up the properties box it works, but it changes all double click actions to do that unless there is already a default double click for a particular command. When I set the double click in the hatch command to edit the hatch (hatch box pops up) it works but it will change the line double click to do the same thing. I don't remember having this problem in 2009. I'm saving in the CUI every time I try this.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI just got a new pc upgrade so I'm walking through everything to see if it all works. Now when I double click my mouse wheel, nothing happens where before it would zoom extents. I'm using a MS Wireless Mouse 5000 with AutoCAD 2013.
I played around with programming the mouse buttons directly, but I couldn't get it to work right. I don't see anything in AutoCAD about a setting for mouse wheel double click. All I see is that it just says that double clicking the mouse wheel should execute the zoom extents command.
I'm trying to add an alignment table, but the curves seem to be labelled twice. When I first labelled the alignment, the curves were C???, so I tried again. After a lot of messing around, I finally got C1, C2, etc., but the table lists C1 & then C?. I've thawed & turned on all the layers, but there aren't any C??? labels on the alignment. Another alignment in the same drawing worked fine.
View 4 Replies View RelatedWe are starting to install AutoCAD 2014 on our machines. On one of our machines, the user can't get double click editing to work on inserts. I can open the drawing on my machine and it works fine. She is using the same profile and workspace and both machines have SP1 installed. Double click editing works for other objects (MLeaders, Text...) but not for inserts or their attributes. The only way she can edit the attribute text is through the property window.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI must be using the Enhanced attribute editor the wrong way. Every time I double click the attribute block the enhanced attribute editor opens the dialog box and I have to resize it so a can see all my tags. Then I have to click the tag I want to change then click the value to change it. To change a different tag I have to repeat that process over and over. It makes attributes a complete waste of time. It’s faster to change Mtext or Dtext. I must be doing something wrong. Is there a way to get the dialog box in the image to pop up when I double click the attribute block?

Double clicking does in fact work properly, so there should be no reason the default cui (C3d.cuix) does not show any commands in the "double click actions" option.

1.I can't double click on dims to add / edit text. I've added / changed the cui double click settings but that does work.
2.The new array command does bring up the associated ribbon panel after the array has been created. I can get this to work while using Civils as AutoCAd, but not as Civils?
I have altered my CUI so when I double click on civil 3d objects it opens up their properties for quick editing. Never had a problem pre 2013 and I am sure this is something I did but am lost.
Every time I double click on any object it just opens up the properties box. It skips right over my double click customization.

Third, the problem.I am experiencing a selection and double click editing problem with AutoCAD 2012LT & AutoCAD 2014LT. On Friday, June 28th we recieved updated (not new) backgrounds from a lighting designer for two floors of the building whose MEP system we are engineering. The second floor had no problems really; we reset some annotation scales and the updated backgrounds plugged right in. The first floor, however, was so messed up that we copied and pasted the track lights and all else into our file directly (vs. xref'ing) and instantly, after a save, it is impossible to evoke any kind of edit with double click. In order for us to modify anything, we have to type the command before editing. So if I want to DDEDIT, I have to type that in before changing the text. If I do select the text first than CAD freezes, takes a huge dump, wipes for 5 minutes, and then the text editor appears. This problem is ubiquitous with all 2012 LT machines and up. AutoCAD 2005 LT has no problem (lmfao).
is there an option that im missing to allow me to edit attributes in a block? i have set QAFLAGS to 0 and my pickfirst is set to 1.

and the Noun/Verb is checked . When I look at the CIVIL CUI, I do not have any double - clicks but the ACAD CUI does - this is load too right.
I was just wondering if you can customize your interface so you can edit note labels (or any labels for that matter) by double clicking. I've already gone throught the cui files but I can't find anything. Am I missing something. c3d 2007

I'm not doing something right I just can't figure it out. I know "DDEDIT" can do the trick. But, I know double clicking has worked on previous version and I want it to work on my 2013 version.

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy sections are showing a label for some of my links that are coded as "top". My label style for the "top" link is set to none and some of the labels are still displayed.
The labels show in the sections, but not the assembly. We are running Civil 3D 2012.
When I generate a band and the points that need to be labelled are very close to each other there is the possibility to stagger the labels (left, right, to both sides).
This works as I would expect it to.What I haven’t been able to determine is whether it is possible to adjust or influence the spacing between the staggered labels.
I am in the process of modifying our current company standards to conform to another set of standards. The main change is switching from "simplex" font style to "Tahoma".
Simple in theory but problematic in execution, our main alignment label style "GEO-LABL", used for P.O.T, PC, ect. utilizes an underlined reference text object in order to control the length of the line under the call. The base insertion places the call perpendicular to the alignment, when dragged to the left or right it switches to stacked text plan readable. Works like a champ with the "simplex" text style - 1.jpg see attached.
Now simply changing the font to "Tahoma" - 2.jpg the larger you make the text the larger the gap.I am trying to stay away from adding a line for the underline due to the difference in lengths needed when the call gets longer or shorter based on alignment name or stationing.
how to change the style of the tick symbol for the cut/fill labels? In the attached you can see its a good size circle and I want to change it to just a small cross. I dont see that setting in the label style anywhere.

I'm not exactly sure what happened, but suddenly my Type Tool can not select type by double clicking or click and drag any more.
I'm using Illustrator CS4 (14.0.0) on a MacPro with OSX 10.6.8.
Since we updated to CC, I have a very good chance of this not working evey time I try it. Maybe 10% of the time, it will select the word/line as it should. My prefs are identical for this feature as they have for the past several version of InDesign. My partner also has trouble with copy/paste in InDesign and Illustrator as well.

Is there a way to automatically label the PI's even if they have an associated curve? (I'd like PI, PC and PT)Alternatively, can I only show markers at PI's without curves?
The major and minor station alignment labels keep disappearing in my drawing. I've had some luck by removing and re-adding the labels but this has stopped working. Is this an issue that will be resolved by Service Pack 1?

problem labelling manholes when using the 2013 ukie template? - pipe labels show up but nothing else.
If I open the label style composer it looks fine in preview, visibility is set to true and its on the same layer as the pipe labels so should display OK. It seems to be a template setting though because if I open the metric or imperial templates and draw a network the labels all work. if I can find the right tick box it would be quicker than labelling with mtext.
If you can see it in the image below, I am showing my minor grids with a dot linetype. I have a total of 6 profiles all of which appear to have the dots double up in random areas, they also print like this.
