When I click on windows there is no option to select Application Frame. why this might be and how to fix it?We are not on a Mac - we are on Microsoft.

I assume it is some type of warning indication, but don't know what. P.S. It is draggable and scaleable - I can move it off the artboard. An example:
View 5 Replies View RelatedI use two monitors, one for my canvus and the other for all my palettes. Which means my palettes are outside the application frame. With this setup, my mouse is very "jerky" when rolling over the layers palette, or others (takes a few sconds to notice). But once I move the palettes within the application frame the mouse is very smooth.I am able to produce this on two Macs.

I've recently started working in the Application Frame and find that I now prefer this way of working.Is there any way to have the Application Frame hide when in another application?I find it annoying that the big, full-frame gray window persists when I'm using other applications.

It obscures the desktop and any other application windows that I'm not using, and so I can't use the Finder as I've become accustomed to using it.If there was a way to have the Application Frame hide when not in Photoshop I'd be a happy camper.

View 3 Replies View Relatedwith CS5, if I single-clicked on, say, my desktop while I had Photoshop running (with no PSD files open), the whole app would just go away so I could get stuff done without having to look at the big old empty shell of the app.

maybe the app is somehow interpreting a previous "persist application frame" pref I ticked somewhere but can no longer access (although I don't remember ever ticking something like that). Either way, it seems that I now need to either option-click on the desktop (I have to do it on my other display), or key in the "Hide Photoshop" command to get the app out of my way so I can do other stuff (I frequently toggle between multiple apps). is there a way to make the application frame not persistent?
I like the openness and ability to click my desktop behind the image I'm working on. I know how to turn it off, but how do I KEEP it off? Every time I close and reopen photoshop it's back on, and I saved my workspace to see if that would result in any changes but it didn't. Didn't ever run into this issue on CS6.

View 4 Replies View RelatedAfter connecting to a flat screen TV for a presentation yesterday, the Photoshop CS6 application frame I was working on suddenly had the bottom edge below the screen on my MacBook Pro.
I can uncheck Application Frame in Window to free up the project, but with it checked I cannot find a way to reach the bottom of the frame and the scale input control. Also cannot reach the lower layers in the layer menu.
The Application Frame window opens up too tall on both my monitors. I cannot resize it nor access any of the tools at the bottom. Is there any other way to resize it except by grabbing it with the cursor and dragging the edge, since obviously I cannot do that when it sits offscreen?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI installed a clean, fresh version on my Mac. (No previous versions were ever installed). When I open Photoshop for the first time, everything runs fine: I can open files and edit as usual. As soon as I close it and re-open many things happen:
a) I can go to open a file, but with Window>Application Frame unchecked, I cannot see the open file.
b) All other palletes go awry. I cannot change the open palletes and or edit anything.
c) If I check Window>Application Frame, everything is back to normal. No problems here.
I try to use the good old Option-click features in CS6 on my i Mac, but nothing happens. Is there some feature that I have unchecked?

Edit: I tried it on CS4 as well, Option-click doesn't work there either.
I was just wondering if it is at all possible to edit what shows up in the right-click options box within PS. I am Using PS CS5 12.1 at work and if I could add a few things into this options box, such as the align-left/right/center options, it would really work with my workflow. I already have some actions set for various functions, but if I could add some extras for quick access via right-click it would make my world and my day so much brighter!

I was advised to download photoshop via adobe application manager as I have an XP OS. I even downloaded the application manager but now it fails to install saying "remote server not properly placed.Try after a few minutes" Whenever I retry I get the same message. Even I am getting the same message in case of installing adobe flash player. The installer always says installation not complete.

But sometimes this feature stops working as the menu does not come up with the layers below the mouse. First I thought it was the mouse but rightclicking in any other part of the screen (such as the border around the document or the panels works fine.
Is this a setting I need to make or is it a different problem such as lack of memory or what?
Is there any way you can use the "Application option" "user name" in a revision table column?

View 2 Replies View Relatedit is a long click (click and press) or is a double click, or is a double long click..I suggest having a RENAME option on right click as well as using normal double click for renaming (one click select clip in viewport, double edit the name). If the library is wide open (details), double click can have the present behavior (open timeline and select the clip)

- Ctrl + click doesn't work (it seems to have a 50% tolerance - my opacity 7% and 40% pixels don't get selected);
- The magic wand tool with 0% tolerance does work (when I click on a transparent pixel it selects ALL opacity 0% pixels around it and then I just have to inverse selection), BUT my image has a lot of holes with transparent areas and selecting them one by one would be tedious.
I know this problem is really simple, but I just can't seem to get it to work. I should be able to left-click on a layer, hold in the shift key while left-clicking on a layer further down the list to select multiple layers. It doesn't work, I can't even get the (Alt-Left Click) command to work, allowing me to select individual layers.
Both these commands work in Image Ready and Flash just fine.
I have checked the keyboard settings, but I am not really sure what to look for - nothing seems out of the ordinary.
it is the first time that i am installing GIMP on Windows, the problem is about application dialogs and menus alignment , i use Persian as my default windows language and it seems that GIMP detect my windows language and make all alignments to Right to Left as Persian default alignment , i tried to use the PreferencesInterfaceLanguage -> English United State but after reopen the application there is no change !
is it possible to force it to align everything in left to right alignment ?
With the new "Display but not plot" option for Wipeout, I notice that the frame shows when I pass over it and is selectable. Â Can the frame be off and not selectable/visible, which is how it worked for me previously?
