Application option settings don't persist! They will work great for a few days and then all of a sudden Inventor will go back to the defaults.
The iLogic browser keeps disappearing as well.

I close and reopen Photoshop (CS4) it seems to revert to using sRGB as Working Space, and Preserve Embedded Profiles for all three types of color file. I have to go into Color Setttings and change these settings to what I want. I know hae them in a Settings fiile, so it's not hard, but often I forget and find myself working in the wrong colorspace for days before I discover it. Why doesn't PS leave my settings as the default the next time it opens? Do I have to go somewhere else to choose my settings as default? That would seem like very clusmy design on Abode's part. Another thing that seems annoying:Â at the top of the dialog it says "Unsynchronized:Â Your Creative Suite applications are not synchronized for consistent color."

The "APP'D" by "Author" is not very useful considering most changes are done by various people.
If this is not an option could it possibly be added?
For whatever reason, everything reset back to default in my application settings. The only thing I remember happening was that at one point my Inventor was not able to establish a connection to the server where the liscence is stored and it gave out an error message. Ever since then, everything was reverted to default.
how to change the look of the highlights in the assembly environment when selecting parts? I can't remember where it's at.

I have some macros that change different layers on/off and have them set to numbers keys 1-6. Works the first time but after a restart they dont work anymore. Even if i change them to any other un-used key they stop working after the restart. The remain listed in the customize screen but dont do anything until i edit and re-tick the box.
I have other macros on other keys and don't think i did anything different when i setup these ones.
When I click on windows there is no option to select Application Frame. why this might be and how to fix it?We are not on a Mac - we are on Microsoft.

In other words, why aren't the “Default settings” “Option settings” saved on the file the same way the “Drafting Settings: like sanps, Osanps” are?
I like the openness and ability to click my desktop behind the image I'm working on. I know how to turn it off, but how do I KEEP it off? Every time I close and reopen photoshop it's back on, and I saved my workspace to see if that would result in any changes but it didn't. Didn't ever run into this issue on CS6.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've followed a few examples and am able to create a new tab on the Ribbon, with panels and buttons, that appears when my DLL is loaded. However, it doesn't persist through workspace changes. I've read that this is due to my use of AdWindows.dll and my current code, as opposed to AcCui.dll, which would modify a CUIx file (that I don't know much about) to make persistent changes.

When I run LAYISO on the command line, It returns 'Select Objects on the layer to be isolated'
It doesn't give an option of 'or [Settings].
On my colleague's machine it does give the 'or [Settings] option.
Both machines plain ACAD 2009.
What is the system variable that controls this behaviour?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am using Photoshop CS6 and if I have nested layer groups whose depth is greater than 5 I get the following error message. "This document contains nested layer groups that may change in appearance if opened in applications older than Photoshop CS6".
I can click on "don't show this message again" before pressing ok, but can i disable it from showing somewhere in the application settings? I want to enable it sometimes and sometimes not.
- The "Reset All Warning Dialogs" button from Edit - Preferences - General is not very usefull because I want to keep other messages' settings, only this one should be affected.
Is there an option setting to show palette color names but not show the tool tips? I like the color names displayed but dislike the tool tips getting in my face.

We all get it that you want people to use Media Encoder. But I never use it. It forces me to render a separate file, then re-render that file. I don't need the extra lossless files floating around my machine, and H.264 mp4's looks great coming straight out of after effects.

Since upgrading I've had set up 4 people output workflow. They all went back to making huge MOV files.

If I adjust paragraph settings, like indents, in one file, those options do not return to default when I start a new file. Thus, I find myself wondering why I have such large gaps between lines of copy or to the left, etc. when I start a new text layer. (This actually happens not only in new files, but in new layers - the latter is slightly more understandable in that it's the same file.)
When a lightbuld goes on for me: "Check your type settings." And, lo-and-behold, there things are: space before or after a paragraph; right or left indents. All settings that used to be cleared when a new file - or a new layer - are opened. This is excruciatingly annoying.If I apply a layer style (e.g., drop shadow) to a shape layer, and then I create another shape layer, the latter one automatically gets all the same style settings applied. That is, the new layer has the all the same layer styles applied to it by default. Meaning, I have to then delete those as they are often not what I intend. Â
In any case, it used to be that I could choose what I want my own new files and layers to look like, not have previously used settings automatically applied.
when I modify a dynamic block, that change persists to all other dynamic block that I have in the drawing. For instance, when I stretch the tail of a section callout, every other section callout stretches as well, which is quite inconvenient as you can imagine. I need each individual blocks changes to be independent of the others.

However when I try to use it it's like the "My" system object isn't there. Â I'm quite sure it has somethign to do with VBA instead of the normal VB. Â How can I accomplish getting the current user's desktop path with inventor VBA?
When I click Application Options it opens up, but the window doesn't show up, eveything else in the program gets disabled and I am able to hit Esc to get out of it.Â

The migrated projects worked OK, but I've just started a new project and I can't figure out how to add a start up application for my project.
On the Debug tab in Project Properties, there's no option for startup application like there was in VS2005

View 2 Replies View RelatedHaven't figured out the trigger yet but after working in INV for a little while the "Application Menu" (used to be the File menu) does not respond to clicking on any buttons..Flyouts work but when you press the actual button nothing happens..
All other ribbon bar buttons function properly. Simply closing INV and restarting fixes the problem temporarily.
I'm looking at a way to edit the Application Options tab when a particular file is opened. For example, by loading file "template" it would set constraint options to a standard, set the background color of the application, etc. giving me a songle file to load my preferred settings.
For a first run example, need code such that when I open the file and run the rule, it would change the username from User to NWilson?
I'm very weak with the API code tools and structure, and I have zero VB experience. My train of thought is as follows:

I've written a piece of code in C++ to open a part in Inventor and get parameter data from the part from out-of-process. This code works, but occasionally (i.e. randomly) execution of the code will result in an error message being returned from Inventor which indicates a crash of the program. I cannot figure out why, and because the problem occurs randomly I've had difficultly isolating the problem. Here is my code. The error suggests that I might be releasing memory that I don't own or something like that, but since it happens intermittently it is hard to know.
