CorelDRAW X3 :: Option Settings To Show Tool Tips
Jul 15, 2011Is there an option setting to show palette color names but not show the tool tips? I like the color names displayed but dislike the tool tips getting in my face.

It doesn't give an option of 'or [Settings].
On my colleague's machine it does give the 'or [Settings] option.
Both machines plain ACAD 2009.
What is the system variable that controls this behaviour?
(I want to select Vpfreeze in paperspace viewport use.)
After Effects :: Make Default Option In Settings To Show H.264 Output Module
Mar 10, 2014Currently you have to check a box, and then build a module for H.264 export.
We all get it that you want people to use Media Encoder. But I never use it. It forces me to render a separate file, then re-render that file. I don't need the extra lossless files floating around my machine, and H.264 mp4's looks great coming straight out of after effects.
Since upgrading I've had set up 4 people output workflow. They all went back to making huge MOV files.

May 8, 2013I am having the darndest time figuring out what I'm not understanding with this, "bug". (I call it a bug because it seems to be one, imo.)
Specs:
Mac OS X 10.75
Creative Suite 5, Photoshop 5.1
"Issues":
If I adjust paragraph settings, like indents, in one file, those options do not return to default when I start a new file. Thus, I find myself wondering why I have such large gaps between lines of copy or to the left, etc. when I start a new text layer. (This actually happens not only in new files, but in new layers - the latter is slightly more understandable in that it's the same file.)
When a lightbuld goes on for me: "Check your type settings." And, lo-and-behold, there things are: space before or after a paragraph; right or left indents. All settings that used to be cleared when a new file - or a new layer - are opened. This is excruciatingly annoying.If I apply a layer style (e.g., drop shadow) to a shape layer, and then I create another shape layer, the latter one automatically gets all the same style settings applied. That is, the new layer has the all the same layer styles applied to it by default. Meaning, I have to then delete those as they are often not what I intend.
In any case, it used to be that I could choose what I want my own new files and layers to look like, not have previously used settings automatically applied.
Photoshop Elements :: Blur Tool Not Working And Guided Option Doesn't Show Menu
Apr 15, 2013I bought and downloaded PSE11. However, I don't think I disabled my virusware. It took an especially long time to download and I don't know if it downloaded correctly. My blur tool does not work and my "guided" options are not there. What is the easiest fix- uninstall and remove the serial number then reinstall using same serial number? My question with this is- how many times can I do this, and or is there an easier fix? I have PSE11 and LR4 and I am going back and forth between which one to use. I really need all the options to work from PSE11.

Aug 20, 2012The eye-dropper tool, has now a little bug with the Attributes option since the update.When I use the tool to apply all the attributes I've given to text it only reproduces the font type...nothing more...The line, character and word spacing remain unchanged.
Now, the Attributes Eye-Dropper tool becomes useless. Seems as though something went quite wrong in the programming office.

System is updated--using Windows XP Pro service pack 3, latest video driver, plenty of RAM. And in Preferences--Interface--Show Tool Tips is indeed selected. Whenever my pointer hovers over anything, no tips are displayed. Tool Tips worked fine in CS3.

CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X6 :: 16.3 Dimension Tool Doesn't Remember Default Settings
Apr 28, 2013Experiencing problems with the dimension tool since upgrading to Corel Draw X6 at this end, which hasn't been resolved with the updates.
I work in mm. The system doesn't remember the default settings if I change my preferences for it to measure in mm via the customisation window or the toolbox as it used to in previous versions. When I open the program again or start a new document, the measurement default keeps changing back to ["] (inches). Sometimes, it will jump back to inches after I change the default to mm when I'm working on the same document.
Same problem seems to be happening with the other units of measure available as well.
Current workaround - the only time it seems to remember my settings is if I change the default to mm and then save a document.
I can fwd a video screen capture which shows the problem if that would work.
AutoCAD Inventor :: Application Option Settings Don't Persist?
Feb 16, 2012Application option settings don't persist! They will work great for a few days and then all of a sudden Inventor will go back to the defaults.
The iLogic browser keeps disappearing as well.

Jan 19, 2012“Command” and “Option” settings in the AutoCAD...Is there a way to save the “Command settings” and the “Option settings” in the file but not on the “AutoCAD program”?
Examples:
The default of the “Isolate” command is “Lock and fade” For me I prefer to switch the this setting to be “Off”The default value of the command “FIELDEVAL” is 13. For me I prefer to switch the this setting to be “Off”The default setting of the “default mode” is “shortcut menu”. For me I prefer to switch this setting to be “repeat last command” ( I go to options>>user preferences”>>Windows standard behavior>>Right click customization>> default mode>>repeat last command. Is there a way to save these settings on the file such that if we open this file in another computer then we don't need to set them again?
In other words, why aren't the “Default settings” “Option settings” saved on the file the same way the “Drafting Settings: like sanps, Osanps” are?
