Why do I not get the option to "fade fill" when I use the ALT/Backspace keyboard shortcut to fill a layer. If I use the menu option Edit/Fill.. to perform the fill I am given the option to "fade fill"

View 2 Replies View RelatedI bought and downloaded PSE11. However, I don't think I disabled my virusware. It took an especially long time to download and I don't know if it downloaded correctly. My blur tool does not work and my "guided" options are not there. What is the easiest fix- uninstall and remove the serial number then reinstall using same serial number? My question with this is- how many times can I do this, and or is there an easier fix? I have PSE11 and LR4 and I am going back and forth between which one to use. I really need all the options to work from PSE11.

On my colleague's machine it does give the 'or [Settings] option.

I need to add a hatch fill polyline area but leave the text island out. What I did is put put Polyline ID and Text island ID into an ObjectIDCollection. The code doesn't throw any error but I can't see the hatch.

When I use the fill tool to simply 'fill' a selection, it does not completely fill it. There is an ivisible barrier or line that prevents it from filling all the way to the edge. Do you think I have my settings wrong?

After getting the hang of that, I figured I could try the same thing with a different image. But instead of opening up both images in different colors, both show up as the color of the first image. Both images are png files, the same file format that I used the first set of images for. I have not changed the size nor made anything transparent.

I can't use gradient overlay for fade either because I'm already using it and it won't fade the stroke anyway.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a template for name tags for an upcoming event. I am trying to input a series of pictures into them,. TIFF files if that matters, add the multiply channel, then fill up the page.
Once the 8 per sheet are filled up, to save, and fill up a second sheet, then continue until finished.
Is this possible in photoshop, if so how?
Cross dissolve will not fade out clips correctly. It gets down to 10-15% opacity on the last frame and that's the lowest it goes. During playback, you can see how abrupt the fade is.
Ticking the "Composite in Linear Color" sometimes improves it, but it's still not a smooth fade. Why is it that I can manually add opacity keyframes to fix this problem (regardless of "comp"), but cross dissolve cannot do a smooth fade?
The following are screenshots of the last frame before the clip ends. The cross dissolve is 30 frames long.My system is i5, 560GTX, CUDA enabled, PP CC 7.2.1, Windows 8.1.

With a white background, comp enabled is a bit better, but you can still see the content. I'd expect another frame or two before a complete fade. Black background, last frame, Composite not enabled:
Again, I'd expect another frame or two before total darkness. Oddly enough, after adding and deleting opacity keyframes and switching comp on and off, I managed to get a nice smooth fade with comp OFF with the above example. Some kind of bug? Using VideoStudio X4 Ultimate 14.2.0.23 I have the following issue:
When doing a crossfade between video clips, the audio crossfades just fine in the preview of the edit screen in X4. However, after exporting to DVD 14:9 format, in the resulting MPG video the audio of the first clip correctly fades out, while the audio of the second clip doesn't fade in... it just jumps in.
Cant find Content Aware Fill option in Photoshop12 which I am using for first time.
I click on EDIT then FILL.
However in the Contents drop down menu there is no option for Content Aware. Have tried Google with no joy.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI am a Creative Cloud member, and have downloaded all of the products and they are all up to date currently. The issue I have is, I see all these people using a new resampling setting called "Preserve Details". They go Image ------> Image Size, and then the window pops up. Now their window already looks different then mine. Mine looks like it did in CS4, theirs has an image preview inside the window, plus they have another resampling option available to them. Why doesn't my have this option?
I have tried to upload an image to show you what I mean, but I am unable to upload via my computer, and yes it is the correct size (>450 pxs wide by >500 pixels tall, 131 KB).
URL... and completing all options related to the Mac, the "Edit in Photoshop..." still does not appear as a clckable option in my Lightroom 4.3 program which has all the current updates. Also, my Photoshop Elements 11 program also has all the current updates.
Please note that in the interest of time, that all of the "solutions" were attempted in the above mentioned link.
I just installed photoshop CC and wanted to continue working on my old photoshop files (which I previously edited with photoshop CS3 and photoshop 7). I use a lot of fill layers to color my drawings because they are easier to edit later. Things is, in photoshop CC all my fill layers, news ones and the old ones, are locked. I cannot paint on them when I previously could. There would be an error message asking me to rasterize it (which I don't want to, because it would make it hard to edit next time), and also a second message of "Content On The Layer Is Not Directly Editable".Is there an option I can select to allow painting on Fill Layer and Adjustment layers again?

When you next open the file, it will have forgotten what the fill was set to. Is this a bug, or am I using something that I shouldn't be using, in fill on a group?

View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen stitching together a large panorama, the content aware tool doesn't work if the image is >30,000 pixels. When you use the tool on large images (after I have flattened the layers and using the magic wand to select a white area at the top), it runs through the process as if it is going to fill and then after the "fill" window completes, the selected area remains white.
I noticed on some other forum posts that jpg saving couldn't occur on >30,000 pixel width images, so I changed the image size to 29,999 (from ~39,000) and the content fill tool worked.
