I have CS6. I used to be able to fade out brushes under the Size Jitter in Shape Dynamics but can't now. I open up CS3 and I can do it in there. why it isn't working in CS6?
View 5 RepliesI want to fade a text layer with bevel, gradient overlay, and stroke, and mask only seems to fade the gradient, not the original text color, so it doesn't blend with the bg. I can't use gradient overlay for fade either because I'm already using it and it won't fade the stroke anyway.
View 1 Replies View RelatedAs you can see from the screenshot below, after checking the "Shape Dynamics", I still can't change anything about "Size Jitter", nor can I change "Roundness Jitter", as they already become grey and not draggable or clickable.
my drawing tablet can't be pressure-sensitive in Photoshop CS6 64bit, but it can be pressure-sensitive in Photoshop CS6 32 bit and other applications.
Is this problem relevant to my tablet driver or to my Photoshop installation? I am hesitated to reinstall my Photoshop because the whole Master Collection takes quite a long time to complete installation.
I am having a strange problem in Photoshop CS 6 (Mac) - Dutch version.
When I paste a vector shape (made in Illustrator) into Photoshop, the Layer styles don't seem to work the way they should.
When I place (CMD+V) the shape into Photoshop I choose "Paste as Pixels".
What I want to do is to multiply an illustration (I made in Illustrator) with a photo structure.
I used to do it all the time in CS5 and never had a problem with it. In CS6 I can't get it work the way I want it to.
Strangely enough it does work the way it should when I use an illustration that I made in Photoshop (same settings).
So it seems that there is a problem when I want to apply layer styles on a vector shape (even when it is paste as pixels).
I cannot get the tapered brush effect when I check the Shape Dynamics box.
Usually it automatically tapers the brush, but it just is staying round.
Have tried re-installing,
I am using CS4 64bit
Even when selecting a default brush my brush stroke is not at all similar to the shape (slowly widening and then tapering off 'ie default preset') even when shape dynamics is turned on, as you can see in the photo. I'm certain it's not due to my tablet, as the sensitivity works fine in other programs. I am currently using CS5.

I am trying to get a pen stroke that starts out thin...gets normal size in the middle...and then shrinks back down to a thin line at the end.
In brush dynamics... I am able to get a thin ending on a stroke but not a thin beginning. Im using the size jitter control set to fade at 300 to get a line that fades to thin OK at the end...but I cant make the beginning thin!
I am trying to stroke a curved path for Christmas designs...scroll kind of looks...thin beginning...fat middle...thin end.
I simply cannot get the brush to taper with the preset or custom settings.

I am trying to design a banner for a client, that is 20 feet long.And when I highlight the text and make it 500, 600 pt its fins but as soon as I try and change to 700 or 800, it completely disappears and you cannot see the font.Why can't I do bigger than 600?

Photoshop CS6 worked fine (still on my computer), but CC is just a nightmare with the Wacom brush settings.
Setting the size of a brush to be controlled by "Pen Tilt" (in the "Shape Dynamics" section of the "Brush" window) acts just as if "Pen Pressure" control had been selected.
This behavior can even be reproduced by using the controls in the "Brush Pose" section: overriding the "Tilt X" and "Tilt Y" values has no effect on the size (in a brush where "Pen Tilt" has been set to control size, and with "Tilt Scale" 0), but overriding the "Pressure" value does affect the size.
I'm using Photoshop CC (version 14.0 x64 with the latest updates) in Windows 7 x64, and it's worth noting that the "Always use Pressure for Size", "Always use Pressure for Opacity", and "Enable airbrush" buttons in the toolbar are off, and "Tilt Scale" is set to 0 (since "Tilt Scale" by itsef works according to the documentation). I Also use a Wacom Intuos 3, with driver 6.3.5-3, and pen tilt works great for changing brush opacity or angle. I've seen the very same problem when trying older versions of photoshop (CS5 and CS6).
had it already been adressed to be solved in future versions? Where can I obtain an official response by Adobe?
And everytime I change my brush settings in photoshop. it doesn't change anything. Everytime I turn off Shape dynamics the minute my pen touches the board it turns on!

(However, in the dynamics there are many cool options to choose from, just not gradient.) Why do I not get the option to "fade fill" when I use the ALT/Backspace keyboard shortcut to fill a layer. If I use the menu option Edit/Fill.. to perform the fill I am given the option to "fade fill"
View 10 Replies View RelatedCross dissolve will not fade out clips correctly. It gets down to 10-15% opacity on the last frame and that's the lowest it goes. During playback, you can see how abrupt the fade is.
Ticking the "Composite in Linear Color" sometimes improves it, but it's still not a smooth fade. Why is it that I can manually add opacity keyframes to fix this problem (regardless of "comp"), but cross dissolve cannot do a smooth fade?
The following are screenshots of the last frame before the clip ends. The cross dissolve is 30 frames long.My system is i5, 560GTX, CUDA enabled, PP CC 7.2.1, Windows 8.1.

With a white background, comp enabled is a bit better, but you can still see the content. I'd expect another frame or two before a complete fade. Black background, last frame, Composite not enabled:

Oddly enough, after adding and deleting opacity keyframes and switching comp on and off, I managed to get a nice smooth fade with comp OFF with the above example. Some kind of bug? Using VideoStudio X4 Ultimate 14.2.0.23 I have the following issue:
When doing a crossfade between video clips, the audio crossfades just fine in the preview of the edit screen in X4. However, after exporting to DVD 14:9 format, in the resulting MPG video the audio of the first clip correctly fades out, while the audio of the second clip doesn't fade in... it just jumps in.
I'm trying the trial version of Photoshop CS6, and I'm wondering whether or not it's possible to change the length of a shape with the amount of text entered into it, with the text still being editable? For example, if I had typed in 'hello', the size of the shape should be just big enough for the text to fit inside, without me having to change anything. On the other hand, if I typed in 'good morning', would I be able to make it so the size of the shape would change for the text to fit without having to use the transform tool?
I'm trying to make annotations for a video, and it would be annoying to have to transform to the correct measurements every single time.
I am using photohsop cs6. I have defined a brush preset and I want to change the opacity jitter for that brush. However, the opacity jitter option which comes under transfer in brush panel is being inactive all the time. How do I enable it?

I really like how illustrator does this with sliders so you can set a range. Can I set up something simlar in Photoshop?
I have all these new brushes, but none start out with "Angle Jitter" on... so, every last one of them sprays all these identical-looking blobs of paint. Is there a way to force all new brushes to have Angle Jitter turned on, or is this up to the brush creators? (I have like 6 brush packs, and they're all like this.
I assumed the brush creators maybe couldn't control any detailed settings, because all the brushes are rigged pretty much the same... that is, not rigged.)
(btw, I'm using these brushes on Photoshop CS5 and CS6 beta.)
I have win7 and PS Cs6 (64 bit).Every time I am editing an image in cs6 the screen jitters. It doesn't flicker, but jitters. By this I mean it jumps up and down:). I am using WIn7.

This ONLY happens in photoshop (even CS6), NO other software (Sketchbook pro, painter, art rage, etc)
I tested my Cintiq out in a field, away from phone away from anything that could wirelessly interfere, STILL this happens.
I've tried everything, reinstalling wacom drivers, reinstalling photoshop CC, installing older wacom drivers. Disabled all custom brushes in photoshop, enabled brush smoothing, Disabling Windows ink, enabling recognition mode. Enablign / disabling / dialing down mouse acceleration and disabling / enabling "enhance pointer precision" Disabling / enabling GPU photoshop acceleration, updated Intel graphics 4000 drivers. No one else seems to have this problem. The stranger thing is, I tried on OTHER windows 8 / 7 machines with a regular wacom Intuos tablet and i see this SAME issue.
The PS I downloaded from CC doesn't work -- no illumination and some other functions -- I deactivated and re-uploaded -functions and then crashed agian -- computer is new and shouldn't be the problem.
View 6 Replies View RelatedFirstly - when I create a document at 48x48 at 72ppi, it comes out as you would expect, 48x48 on a screen. However if I enter 48x48 and try to enter 326ppi, it doesn't adjust the canvas size at all.
Also when I have my 48x48 72ppi document open and go to image > image size, and adjust only the ppi to 326...it does nothing! What should be happening is the canvas become 72:326 ratio larger to reflect the new ppi, or in other words, make the canvas size larger in proportion to this so when you take your new 326ppi image to the iphone it is retina at 48x48...however this is clearly not happening.
In Photoshop CS2, I select Help > How to fix and enhance photos > to touch up spots, scratches, and wrinkles. Instead of help on that, Adobe Help Center 2.1 shows up with nothing in it.

For quite a while now every once in a while when I start up I get a screen asking me to register. But since I already am registered Adobe just said to click on later and go on working. But this morning the screen is empty so I can't click anywhere. I've tried restarting and even turning off the computer and trying to restart my day.

View 2 Replies View RelatedOpenCL doesn't seem to work for me. I have it checked in prefs, have the latest drivers, and a GeForce GTX 660M. Yet when I run an iris blur filter, it's extremely slow, and only uses 1 CPU. Under System Info, it lists the video card and OpenCL 1.1.
View 24 Replies View RelatedI've just upgraded to Photoshop CS6, and did the update to v13.04. Get a message with Save for Web: "The operation could not be completed. A write permissions error has occurred." There is a bug fix for v12 for exactly this, but CS5.5 (not sure which version of 12 it was) worked fine on this machine. On a Macbook 17 inch running OSX 10.7.5 with 8gig Ram and 2.5 Ghz I7.
