Photoshop :: Random Jitter For Brushes

Sep 26, 2012

Sometimes I work offstie, so no wacom tablet with me. How can I spray sparkles/dust/etc and vary aspects randomly such as size? Even with the wacom would like more random results, than gradated.

I really like how illustrator does this with sliders so you can set a range. Can I set up something simlar in Photoshop?

Photoshop :: New Brushes With (Angle Jitter)?

Apr 17, 2012

I have all these new brushes, but none start out with "Angle Jitter" on... so, every last one of them sprays all these identical-looking blobs of paint. Is there a way to force all new brushes to have Angle Jitter turned on, or is this up to the brush creators? (I have like 6 brush packs, and they're all like this.

I assumed the brush creators maybe couldn't control any detailed settings, because all the brushes are rigged pretty much the same... that is, not rigged.)

(btw, I'm using these brushes on Photoshop CS5 and CS6 beta.)

Photoshop :: Size Jitter Isn't Changeable In CS6

Apr 6, 2013

As you can see from the screenshot below, after checking the "Shape Dynamics", I still can't change anything about "Size Jitter", nor can I change "Roundness Jitter", as they already become grey and not draggable or clickable.

my drawing tablet can't be pressure-sensitive in Photoshop CS6 64bit, but it can be pressure-sensitive in Photoshop CS6 32 bit and other applications.

Is this problem relevant to my tablet driver or to my Photoshop installation? I am hesitated to reinstall my Photoshop because the whole Master Collection takes quite a long time to complete installation.

Photoshop :: Windows 8 Wiggle / Jitter Brush Stroke

Oct 9, 2013

I just got a new Wacom Cintiq Companion Windows 8 version.   I normally work in Mac, so I've never encountered this.

[URL]

This ONLY happens in photoshop (even CS6), NO other software (Sketchbook pro, painter, art rage, etc)

I tested my Cintiq out in a field, away from phone away from anything that could wirelessly interfere, STILL this happens.

I've tried everything, reinstalling wacom drivers, reinstalling photoshop CC, installing older wacom drivers.  Disabled all custom brushes in photoshop, enabled brush smoothing, Disabling Windows ink, enabling recognition mode. Enablign / disabling / dialing down mouse acceleration and disabling / enabling "enhance pointer precision" Disabling / enabling GPU photoshop acceleration, updated Intel graphics 4000 drivers.  No one else seems to have this problem.     The stranger thing is, I tried on OTHER windows 8 / 7 machines with a regular wacom Intuos tablet and i see this SAME issue.

Photoshop :: Sort Brushes In The Brushes Palette?

Jan 30, 2006

I am interested in grouping and sorting brushes according to size, shape, whatever.

Right now when I add a brush library, they just stack on top of one another.

For example let's say I have a round brush with a 10 diameter, then next to it a round brush with a 20 diameter. If I make a 15, it goes to the bottom of the list, and I have to scroll all around. How can I group them?

I suspect I would have to make my own brush library with my brushes how I want them, then save that and load it?

The most weird part is that when i tried to change the short-cuts, it won't work even though i clicked on accept and "ok". Is there a way i can turn this back? It wasn't like this when i first got this back at November.

Photoshop :: Random Brush Painting

Mar 2, 2013

I am having a problem with my brush/stamp/eraser tool in photoshop CS5.5.  Whenever I click to paint, erase..etc it will sometimes randomly paint elsewhere on my photo. Sometimes it will paint just one spot or other times it will paint a whole line or squiggle across my photo.  I have checked my brush settings and I don't have anything turned on for it to do so (i.e. scattering, shape dynamics, spacing).

Photoshop :: Random Blocks Take Over CC Canvas

Sep 26, 2013

The blocks are seemingly random and happen unexpectedly. What's worse is they become permanently incorporated into my file, thus destroying my work.Note that you can see the blocks have become part of both the art on the layers as well as the masks.

I'm working on a 27" iMac 3.1 GHz Intel Core i5 with 8GB of 1333 MHz DDR3 RAM, using Photoshop 14.1 x64. I have seen some reports about possible video driver errors associated with this model, This is a Photoshop-only problem as far as I can tell. I do believe I encountered this in Photoshop CS5 at one point as well.

I've used Photoshop CS6 Extended Edition for over a year on my current laptop (specs below), but now it just crashes at random points. I get the message 'Photoshop has stopped working' and then I can only close it. I didn't change any settings. My specs are:
Pc: Dell latitude D630 86x
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo 2.20Ghz
Graphics: Mobile Intel 965 Express Chipset Family

I know it isn't the best you can get but first I could use Photoshop without any problems.

Edit: I have updated all my drivers and it still won't work.

Photoshop :: Random Spray Tool

Aug 25, 2005

I'm creating a landscape plan, and I would like a method for creating leaves on the trees. I can draw an initial leaf and copy it, but then I'm confronted with the tedious task of resizing, rotating, and pasting them onto the tree hundreds of times over. I know that in some drawing programs, there's a random spray tool that allows you to continuously paste a selection at random points within a given radius. Is there a tool like that in Photoshop, preferably something that also randomly modifies the size and rotation of the selection?

Photoshop :: Random CS5 Slowness After Adding More RAM And SSD Boot?

Dec 17, 2012

I have just completed an update of a MacPro 3,1 by adding more RAM, going from 12-20GB of RAM, adding a 240GB SSD that is less than half full vs 7200rpm 1TB boot drive. I've also moved my LR and Bridge cache off the boot drive to a 60GB SSD eSata Raid 0 setup. I have increased my PS allocated RAM up to 71% of my total RAM or about 14GB, History state is set at 20 levels and cache levels @ 6 and cache blocks at 1024k. PS scratch is set to the internal SSD boot drive.

But PS CS5 is experiencing random slow downs and total stops where we can not do anything, including exiting the app. Mouse will work but we can not run actions or use tools then all of a sudden it just snaps out of it but it will still be slow. We can then quit PS and relaunch and for awhile it will be fine.

Is this possibly a RAM issue?

Photoshop :: Random Pressure While Using CS6 On Cintiq 21UX

May 27, 2013

I just bought PS CS6 and I am experiencing a problem where I get random full-pressure strokes while using the brush tool.  I have been doing a lot of research into this but have not found a solution yet.

I am using a Cintiq 21UX on a Windows 7 machine. While I am drawing with the brush tool, I will get a random stroke that is at full pressure, as if I was using the mouse.  It doesn't seem to be related to how fast I am sketching, or what kind of brush, eraser, tool etc I am using.

Photoshop CS6 is the only program on my computer that has this issue.I have tried every single driver available on the wacom site.My GPU is compatible with CS6 (GeForce 200 series) and I have the most recent drivers.I have tried resetting the brush tool.I have 'shape dynamics' turned on.

Photoshop :: Edit Some Random Commands Before Executing Them

Jan 26, 2013

PS not letting me edit some random commands before executing them, including Duplicate, Fill, Print Preview, Stroke...possibly others I haven't discovered.  When I click the dropdown choice, an edit window used to let me tailor pixel widths, color, etc. (I know, [it's what] 'edit' means). Now, the little eyedropper icon replaces my cursor, all top menus are grey except 'View' and 'Window', I get that awful 'doont!' sound, and my only option is to just hit 'Enter' and it executes the command with whatever preferences I last set before this problem, usually of no present use to me. I have relaunched PS, restarted the computer with no other tasks and relaunched, and impotently shaken my fist at the screen to no avail.

Photoshop :: Random Shapes Appear When Using Vector Mask

Feb 7, 2013

For several months I have had random shapes appear in my files when using vector masks. The scrambled imagery only appears at random and at certain zooms (over 25%) and will disappear upon restart of Photoshop. If I flatten the file, it will retain the scrambled imagery, but otherwise it seems to not actually corrupt the data, just the view on screen. I've been fighting this for months and have replaced drives, video cards, and it still persists.

Photoshop :: CS4 Bug - Selection Tool Yields Random...

Anyone else experiencing this bug in CS4 - when starting a new selection (Marquee Tool), random sized boxes will appear BEFORE dragging and releasing the mouse button to define a selection. The boxes will often extend from the first mouse click to an image edge, but it's unpredictable.

I need to release the mouse button, deselect (left click), and then start over again. Once this behavior begins, it can recur repeatedly, making marquee selections VERY frustrating. I have to shut down Photoshop and restart, but eventually the bug will return (typically after 10-20 minutes of use). Code:

3) Press Control + I to inverse the colors

4) Press Control L to select the levels

5) Adjust the levels so that the lightning is dimmed but not too much.

And from there you can change the colors by pushing Control U, and click on the "Colorize" check box. Adjust the colors as you wish! and mess with it to get cool effects!
