I have found how to edit my file info inside Ps, I have created an average file info, my name, my website, and other contact info, and i want to add these information to all of my future works description.

In this picture, there is an auto completion option, what does this mean? I want to these informations will be applyed automaticly whithout my intervention.
I have a template for name tags for an upcoming event. I am trying to input a series of pictures into them,. TIFF files if that matters, add the multiply channel, then fill up the page.
Once the 8 per sheet are filled up, to save, and fill up a second sheet, then continue until finished.
Is this possible in photoshop, if so how?
I spend 12 hours a day in illustrator and some functionality seems to simplistic and ultimately annoying.I'm using Windows 7 64bit. Adobe Illustrator CS6

1. Please auto switch between Stroke fill and fill when I select text. 99% of my time is spent only using fill on text. I would rather manually switch to Stroke when I want to add a fill to it rather having to switch to fill each time.

3. Add an auto layer for Guides. When I am using the Scissors tool, the majority of the time I don't want to cut my guides up, I would rather instead cut up the shape below it. Again manually changing the layer to select the guide would be preferable.

4. I personally never use the Eraser tool and I switch to the Scissors Tool. Without fail every time I launch Illustrator I have to switch from the Eraser Tool too the Scissors tool. Please add cookies or something so I don't have to always switch to the Scissors Tool.

5. Move "Align to Pixel" toggle somewhere outside a file menu.
tryng to resize some pictures for the web I notice under Image ---- image size a button marked Auto. Pressed it and it increased by print resolution from 91 to 266 ( whichI think is a commercial printing resolution) However when I now reduced the image in size I got a better end product. So I've searched the help file for info on what/how this auto button does but can't find anything.
View 2 Replies View RelatedOur professor provided us with 3 dwg files that we are supposed to use for our title blocks on all construction documents. One is the title block file, one is a file with preloaded client info text and the other is preloaded with project info text. This includes dates(drawing, revisions, etc.), page numbers, sheet names, etc.
He explained how it's easier to xref all of these files into the paper space of our working files, but I don't understand how this is easier when every page has different information on it - in the very least a different page number and sheet/drawing name.
Is this a matter of creating a unique file for each page of our set of plans? This seems much more confusing that just inputting the text manually on each drawing.
In previous versions of Photoshop if you had a selection you could hit the delete key and the selection would be filled with transparency. When I do that in PS CS6 it brings up the fill dialogue box and I don't see any transparency fill options. How to do this in CS6?

When I open some raw files I have the fill light option in camera raw and sometime I don't. Why is that? See my two different images.

I now need to fill in the counties with various shades of gray, with no two neighboring counties sharing the same shade. I guess it was a droplet, "when the file is opened or created then add file info from a xmp file". I still have the xmp file with all the data in but i am unsure how to implement it being automatically opened and added to the file when i create a new one? I thought i could handle it, i assume its a droplet of some sort.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI use Coreldraw x3 for cutting vinyl to put on shirts and windows ect. Â I cut on 14" and 24" rolls of vinyl. Â To save vinyl I make a rectangle in corel at 14x25" or 24x25" and then I put the graphics in that rectangle as snug as I can to make sure I conserve as much vinyl as possible. Â
I am wondering if there is a way to select my rectangle and the art that I want to piece into it and have the program automatically fill up the space as sparingly as possible.  This would save me a lot of time and it would probably be more efficient for saving vinyl because corel would know the optimal way to piece the art in.
We have been sending images out to contractors, and sometimes when they come back the files are having this error:

In MS Paint when i select part of image with Polygon tool, this part is auto filled with background color. In GIMP i have to use first Selection tool (Free Select) and than switch to Bucket Fill for filling selected area with color. Designers open our AI laser cutting design templates, add their designs using the AI settings our online pricing system can read, then upload their designs to our website for instant pricing, making and shipping.

The Problem
Designers have to manually setup AI with settings that can be read by our online pricing system. If they get these settings wrong, our system can not read their designs. So they are rejected and can not be priced or made. This happens more often that you'd imagine.

The Solution
Designers do not like design rejections. So I'd like to eradicate them by providing our designers with a version of AI that provides the following settings only:

* Set document to RGB
* Stroke weight = 0.01mm
* Stroke colors = RGB 0, 0, 255 and 255, 0, 0
* Fill color = RGB 0, 0, 0
Â
This will mean designers have a very limited number of AI choices, with nothing to distract them or to get wrong. Which will result in less (or zero?) design rejections. And products made faster than before. Rejoice!

Modifying the "file info" for a gif file (in my case, "General" tab, "Document Title" and "Description") doesn't actually get saved with the file - or, at least, if it is saved, it's not visible when re-opening the file.

I believe that I understood that metadata for .png format isn't supported, but I thought that .gif was. (Test case is easy: open .gif file, add a Title and Description, save, and re-open - information is gone).
I need to install a custom one that is working for CS5 and CS6, so that it can be seen and used in CC. But I don't know where to put it? (on the Mac)

- Scratch files seem to be created even in 64 bit Photoshop with plenty of unused memory, so they are apparently not regular swap/page files. What sort of data Photoshop CS4 writes to them and why isn't this information kept in memory instead?
- Do scratch file writes/reads occur at the same time as operating system paging? Is there any practical reason not to put PS scratch disk and OS paging file on the same physical drive?
- Do scratch files benefit more from higher bandwidth or faster seek time?
- What is the typical ratio for Photoshop CS4 for reads and writes to scratch files?
