tryng to resize some pictures for the web I notice under Image ---- image size a button marked Auto. Pressed it and it increased by print resolution from 91 to 266 ( whichI think is a commercial printing resolution) However when I now reduced the image in size I got a better end product. So I've searched the help file for info on what/how this auto button does but can't find anything.
I have a template for name tags for an upcoming event. I am trying to input a series of pictures into them,. TIFF files if that matters, add the multiply channel, then fill up the page.
Once the 8 per sheet are filled up, to save, and fill up a second sheet, then continue until finished.
Bristle brushes have an option near their size sliders named "restore to original size" ... but for some brushes, this option is resetting brushes to another size other than the original size appearing on the brush swacthes.
I have found how to edit my file info inside Ps, I have created an average file info, my name, my website, and other contact info, and i want to add these information to all of my future works description. Â In this picture, there is an auto completion option, what does this mean? I want to these informations will be applyed automaticly whithout my intervention.
I'm trying to compare a selection made with the Auto-Enhance check box on and off with the Quick Selection tool, though I'm not seeing a difference. My understanding is that it gives the selection a smoother, less blocky edge,  1. even though I'm not seeing a difference, is there a reason to just not keep it checked all the time? 2. Can you apply this checkbox after making a selection or only prior to doing one?
I am trying to set up an action (watermarking) that will work on any image size. So far I have tried to set the text layer size by transforming it to fit within guides (rulers set to percentage). The results were inconsistant. If anyone has any helpful ideas I would love to hear them. I will keep trying but time is running out and I don't want to do this slow time for much longer (better things to do with my time)! The watermarking side is done (set in bottom right corner) but I would like to position it from the 90%x90% but have the text covering about 60% of the image width.
When looking for a font to use, a SAMPLE of font displays along side of the fonts list but in CS6 i can not find the Size option for the SAMPLE list, in other versions it use to be in preferences , is it a lost cause searching for it (no longer available in CS6).the sample is so small it's hard to see
Any way to set the character leading setting so that it auto-adjusts when you adjust font size? I think my Ps used to do that. Now, whenever I change font size, I have to adjust the leading, too.
I saw this cool shortcut for adjusting brush size and feather by holding control option and then dragging left right or up down to adjust the brush but in the video when he clicked and dragged to adjust the brush displayed red while being adjusted and I can't seem to get the red rubylith to display so I can't see the brush feathering when adjusted.
I have photoshop cs4 and I cannot find the Auto smart fix, auto levels, and auto contrast nor the adjustment for each that I had with photoshop elements.
Has it become a possible option to automatically grab the Date-of-shoot (instead of the DAYToday) when renaming files (that should show shooting- date) in LR5?
when i make my brush size very small (to the point that its only like 4pixels dot on the screen), a crosshair symbol automatically appears around it which makes it hard to see the cursor's surroundings when working on small details without zooming in alot (which would make a 4px cursor appear bigger thus losing the crosshair again). I guess this feature is there for people that might have trouble locating small cursors, but on a large tablet that allows very fast work without having to zoom in much, this makes things harder. Is there a way to disable this or modify some files or "hack" the cursor icons somehow and delete it? Â (Tried all possible combinations of the PS prefferences but none of it seemed to be related to the cursor becoming a crosshair once the brush size gets very small relative to screenresolution)
I am currently working in a Illustrator file that is 10% of the final print size. This is because the final size is 8,9 x 5,8 meters (15 x 7 times A1). It is therefor all my sizes have to be the EXACT size. Any flaws in sizes will be 10x as big on the final print. Â So I am creating 15 x 7 A1 rectangles in my composition of 891 x 588,7 millimeters. 10% of a A1 should be 84,1x59,4mm. However, when I create a rectangle by this very size, Illustrator automatically changes it to 83,961 x 59,267 millimeters. This will result in a 5 pixel blank space on the 15 side, which means 50 pixels on the final size. I, but especially my boss ( -_-' ) would like this to be 0 pixels. Â How to fix this auto correction? I think it will have something to do with the millimeters to pixel correction.
My NEF files ( Nikon 800) is between 50-70 mb. In ACR the workflow option states file size of 36,2 Mb ( default) Is there someting wrong in my set-up
After Part is inserted into an assembly and after the Part is changed ( say the length from 16.25 to 17.75), How do I auto change the "Part Number" to match this new length in the parts list?Â
I've been looking for an option to change the size of the grid (32 x 32, 64 x 64, that sort of thing) but I can't seem to find it, I also can't find any option to snap to grid.
while looking through certain tutorials on the new crop system i came across many that referenced the above mentioned size and resolution option in the access ratio drop down menu. They all mention a dialog box which then appears which looks really useful, however my version doesn't have this option.
In previous versions through customize options there was the option to tick for large icons. It has been left out of X4 or is it there and I can't find it. That option was very good for big screens. Do they intend to bring it back in the update along with the colored icons.
When I choose "New Document" in Illustrator CS4 and try to change the document size the "custom" option isn´t available. The only available options are standar sizes.
When I open, say, 10 images at once, I see (10) individual "restore down" windows atop each other;I then maximize top window & process; when I close top window:in my CS1, next window=image auto-maximizes window & sliders will appear if I zoom to 100%  in my CS2, next window=image is still "restore down" & I have to click windows upper right "Maximize" icon  Question: how to get CS2 "behaving" like CS1?
I've a pdf created with auto cad 2013 printed with adobe pdf. I put it into the Photoshop cs6, but it always make my image lighter, and i have to adjust exposure, levels or brightness to see the image fine. And i don't like doing this because the image is not exactly the same... Â I have this friend who work with the same tools and his pdf is perfect in his Photoshop. I think is a rastering issue because the pdfs looks great until the Photoshop interpret the image.
I am looking for a way to automate the process of cropping an image to a rectangle that precisly fits the outermost non-white pixels of an image. Ideally I would be able to specify the white tolerance. Is there a plugin that does this? Or a series of steps that can be rolled into an action?
I have Photoshop V7. When I open an image, then go to the image toolbar - 'adjustments' - auto colour/contract, my image goes white. Needless to say I have tried to correct this without success. I tried uninstalling the program and re-installed it but I still have the same problem.
I've been taking photos with a homemade lightbox which includes a white background and I typically have to go into photoshop to make some adjustments to get the background pure white. When I'm snapping a photo of an all white object against an all white background, it looks rather nasty if you use the auto color tool.
So from my understanding auto color uses the lightest white and the darkest black and the reason the white/white scenerio doesn't work it because of a lack of black. So to combat this I've been creating a new layer and adding a little black with the rectangular tool and filling it with black. Now, I'd like to be able to delete this second layer once I've used the auto color feature but can't figure out how.
