My NEF files ( Nikon 800) is between 50-70 mb. In ACR the workflow option states file size of 36,2 Mb ( default) Is there someting wrong in my set-up

How do I reset that? Also is there an easy setting that will cause organizer to be the default when I plug in my nikon?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am trying to adjust the white balance using photoshop elements 11, all the information I have come across tells you how to do it using the camera raw plug in. This has been updated and still I do not see it listed when I click on the file menu. I take photos of antique gold lockets using a light house and even though the custom white balance is set on my camera the photos are still coming out too canary yellow. I need to be able to adjust the colors so that they are more antique rose gold looking and have been reading different articles and videos on how other people adjust the colors and would like to try a couple of the ways I have seen but am unable as the camera raw plug in is not showing up as an option.

View 6 Replies View Relatedam having an Issue with CS6 when saving files. When saving a file using the 'Save' option (not 'Save As') the file is not staying at the size of the artboard as it should, it is however being aurtomatically cropped down to the actual artwork size. This is causing issues with the Process we work with as we need the file to stay at the artboard size.If I click 'Save As' and change the Adobe PDF Preset to 'Press Quality' then this works, however this means that every file we save(which is quite alot in a day) means we have to go through the 'Save As' option and manually change each save.why this has suddenly started to happen with our Illustrators and do you know how to fix this so that it stays at the Artboard size when 'Save' is used?
View 17 Replies View RelatedWhen I open my Raw Images in Photoshop CS5 Camera Raw, The file size is correct It was shot at 240 ppi.
But when I open the same Image In Photoshop CS6 Camera Raw 8.1, the Image converts to 300 ppi.
Off course I can go ahead and open the file Inside the Photoshop and change the Image size when Resample Image Is checked and change the Resolution to 240 ppi. But I don't want to do that I want the Camera Raw 8.1 to open all my Raw Images AS IS, which is 240 ppi. Default size for Canon 5D.
I have started to use my new Olympus E-PL1 camera with RAW files.
I was not so pleased with the results in PSE ACR and Lightroom so I have decided to try THE SAME RAW file in Capture One Express and Raw Therapy.
I was shocked to discover that the area covered with Capture One Express and Raw Therapy is larger than ACR and Lightroom - to my astonishment it is like having a wider lens - in all four corners of the image there more details and objects that cannot be seen in ACR! - notice a red car on the right side and a blue boat on the left side - it looks like either from a wider lens or like another file!
I have checked both in Photoshop ACR and Lightroom and the Lens Correction option is turned OFF.

in the "Workflow Options" of Camera Raw there is the option to increase the file size by setting the Crop Size to a greater value then the native of the file itself.
I would like to understand if upsampling with this option can bring advantages (and/or cons) to the image quality, and in that case which ones, in particular for the printing of such files in A3+ and A2.
I have a drawing with several dynamic blocks (over 1000 block references) with visibility states. I recently noticed that all of the blocks no longer have the option to change the visibility state (i.e. the upside down blue triangle no longer appears when clicking on the block).
If I insert a new block it comes in with the option to change the visibility state. However, the previously placed blocks still do not have the option of changing the visibilty state. Even if I update the definition of all block references in my drawing nothing changes with the previously placed blocks.
Is there an option/command to bring back the option of changing visibility states on my previously placed blocks?
A .cmx file produced by CorelDRAW x5 can be opened / imported / edited in any previous version of CorelDRAW? Why size changes? When I export to .cmx size doubles. If I use the option "Save as ... cmx" the file size decreases. What´s the difference? URL.....

View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm working on a feature film and I have a question about relinking AAF to mp4 material.First let me explain the steps I took:
-source material mp4 files from camera
-transcoded to .mov files so we could use it in Avid
-export AAF from Avid.
Smoke:
-imported all the source clips (mp4 files) with the gateway into Smoke
-imported the AAF file
-put the AAF file in same reel as mp4 files.
-choose Tools/Unlink/Relink and enabled 'Use Clip Name' and Use Timecode.
The problem now is that all the clips are getting linked by timecode only.I discovered that it's because the clips used in avid are .mov files that I want to relink to the mp4 files.
Is there a workflow to substitute the .mov for mp4 in Smoke somehow?I hope there is because now I have to do a lot of manual work (and there is not enough time for)
When I do a Edit in Photoshop, LR creates a TIF file. I process this in Photoshop and close it saving it back to LR. It saves in the same folder as the original on the hard disk. Is there any way I can get these files to save in a new folder under the originals automatically? (all the files for processing should go in this folder)
View 12 Replies View RelatedI having trouble with closing documents and even quitting Photoshop CC. I tried the menu, shortcuts and the close button on the document frame.
Photoshop reacts to the shortcut by marking "file"/"Photoshop" in the menu when i push command+w or commmand+q but nothing happens.
I have to force quit photoshop each time. All other buttons work exept when i try to delete history states in the history panel. Nothing happens when pushing the "delete current state" button.
When I open some raw files I have the fill light option in camera raw and sometime I don't. Why is that? See my two different images.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a few files that I need to make ASAP into banners that are 19ft x 15ft and many other sizes. I can only change into a RAW Photoshop or a tiff. I tried saving into a tiff then converting but nothing is working.
I was also going to try to convert into a AI program then into a vector but with no luck.
When I plug my camera in, its a Panny TZ25 in this instance, Aperture opens on my Mac and I can see the photos on the camera, Lightroom does the same if I open it but my trial version of Elements 12 doesn't see the camera, the import option is greyed, but if I select "open" I can open the remote disc icon and view the folders on my camera. I assume there is a problem with a twain plugin of some kind ? I would have thought 12 would have had the camera in its list by default. It did in LR as I mentioned.

Is there a way, when saving jpg files to save as a specific file size, rather than quality level (currently using CS5)? I have a few clients (realtors) who require files to be 100kb (or smaller... but 100kb is the ideal to shoot for) for their listings.
Given I'm working with a number of images, I would like to be able to do this as a batch, rather than one at a time, getting as close to 100 as I can without going over, as I have to at this point.
After converting CR2 Raw files to Jpeg the size of the files is too small. How if possible Can one increase file size in Elements 9?

The video files from both movies combined only amount to about 3.2 GB, yet when I try to "share" and make the dvd with both of my vsp files, it adds up to be a total of over 7 GB. Is it normal to have this much "inflation" on a project? I've not done anything special as far as graphics or fancy menus or even chapter markers. It's just a handful of clips with the "crossfade" transition applied. And that's it.

- from the scene1 in which i've merged object2
or
- from the scene2 that i have merged in scene1
the file saved have the same big size, and if i delete from scene 1, merged object and resave it, the filesize is just a bit less of 700..
I realise there are pros and cons to this question and the temptation is to opt for the highest quality, but the file sizes are huge. So, my camera files will be mainly 1080 files at 30fps, what will be the best file type/size to save files for future use. I don't really mind the rendering time and space isn't a huge problem, but the variety of file types is bewildering. Most clips will find their way to DVD but I don't want to reduce resolution as they might be used at a later date for Blu-Ray.

I saved without pfd compatible function already, but the file size is sill very large. I did not face the same problem working with CS5 before, is that a bug for CS6?
I am trying to insert a Dynamic Block and change it's Visibility State. I can insert the block, and the visibility state changes, however, if I manually try to change it after, it does not change, even though the value has changed. My code executes and returns no errors, so I am assuming that I have done something wrong, or missed something out.

If I insert my block manually, I can change the states and it works fine, but the code seems to break the block.
is there an option to delete photos after importing from a camera or smart phone? For example, import selected photos from a camera and then delelte those photos on the camera after importing them.
