Photoshop Elements :: Camera Raw Plugin Not Showing Up As Option In File Menu After Update
Mar 11, 2014
I am trying to adjust the white balance using photoshop elements 11, all the information I have come across tells you how to do it using the camera raw plug in. This has been updated and still I do not see it listed when I click on the file menu. I take photos of antique gold lockets using a light house and even though the custom white balance is set on my camera the photos are still coming out too canary yellow. I need to be able to adjust the colors so that they are more antique rose gold looking and have been reading different articles and videos on how other people adjust the colors and would like to try a couple of the ways I have seen but am unable as the camera raw plug in is not showing up as an option.
having some major problems, just bought a D800, upgraded my pc with a 64 bit os and more ram, re-installed all my programs and cant open my files in PSE, its saying its the wrong files type, go to update pse10 and im getting an error cose u41m1c212, have downloaded a dng converter and trying to download acr 6.7.1 .
Using Macbook Pro with CS5 Photoshop and Lightroom 5. Importing photo from LR to PS was told to update PS Camera Raw plugin to 8.2 . Used download for Raw/DNG 8.2 and went through the steps to download successful. When I check the plugin status on PS it is still on ver. 6.7.1.399.
upgrading to either one of these products as my current versions do not appear to support the panasonic raw file format rw2 but would like to know if the latest versions do support this format before I buy.
Can't open file from Nikon D7100 in Camera RAW Plug-In,i have Photoshop CS5 and plugin is upgraded.Format NEF from Nikon D 7100 is not in this plug-in photoshop.
my PSE11 was working fine until i bought a new camera and tried to upload photos from my RAW files. It gave me this message
"Could not complete your request because the file appears to be from a camera model which is not supported by the installed version of Camera Raw.Please visit the Camera Raw documentation for additional information."
so i tried to install the update.... installed it fine, kept getting the same message when i would try to open the photo. after researching online i found the suggestion of uninstalling and reinstalling photoshop elements. i did that once, tried the update again...same results. uninstalled again. tried the update again and still getting the same message. ive checked the adobe website and everywhere i look says the version of the camera raw DOES support my camera (nikon D7100).
After an, automatic, update to camera raw 7.3 in Photoshop Elements 11 all Camera Profiles are gone. All that is left is "Matrix". I use Elements 11, windows Vista on a 64-bit machine, my camera is a Nikon D7000.
It said there were updates in PSE 10 (help/updates) for Application Manager and Camera Raw. I let it install both, I rebooted, and the ACR says 6.7 and not 7.3. It will not read my Canon 6D RAW files. When I check help/updates again, it says everything is up to date.
Apologies if this has been dealt with before but a quick search hasn't revealed anything. Downloaded Elements 10 Editor from the Apple App Store and have been using it without problems.
Have just updated my EOS5 to an EOS5D Mk.III, downloaded the latest RAW Plug-in but I keep getting an error message saying this update is "not for me". The work around is to covert files to dng and then open but this creates lots more files. So in a nutshell how do I update the RAW converter?
I have PSE 11 and have turned off my firewalls and still cannot get a Camera Raw update newer than 7.1. I have a d600 and it wont work through that. I know it can be done since I wasnt having this problem before I had to restore my computer and reload my software. I have searched Adobe up and down and everything says to us Help>updates...but its not giving me the option to update.
Bought a new camera:Sony Cybershot DSC RX100. My version of Elements 10 does not recognise the RAW format of this camera, so I tried to install te latest Camera Raw update (6.5) for Elements !0. Everything goes well untill Itry to activate the Update Installer. I get a message: Failure: U44M2P7 Updating using the Help function does not work because there is a message that everything has been updated.
When I plug my camera in, its a Panny TZ25 in this instance, Aperture opens on my Mac and I can see the photos on the camera, Lightroom does the same if I open it but my trial version of Elements 12 doesn't see the camera, the import option is greyed, but if I select "open" I can open the remote disc icon and view the folders on my camera. I assume there is a problem with a twain plugin of some kind ? I would have thought 12 would have had the camera in its list by default. It did in LR as I mentioned.
I updated Camera Raw today (12-14-12) through the Adobe Software Updater. Now when I start PSE 11, I get a message that the software has exceeded its activation limit.
I rebooted the computer, and the same problem re-occurred. Upon startup, PSE 11 pops up a message that the software activation limit has been exceeded.
Let me be clear, I bought the application from Adobe, I have a valid license that was delivered from Adobe via email, the software has only ever been installed once, on this machine.
I just downloaded PS Elements 12 (using the 30 trail version prior to purchase) and am unable to find the Proof Setup option in the VIew menu to soft proof my images prior to enlargement.
I am in Elements 11 in the Organizer. I want to share a photo to facebook. I select the photo and click on 'share' but there is no facebook option on the dropdown menu. Where did it go?
Don't know what I did but since yesterday when I download files from my nikon using the organizer to import I no longer get the would you like to delete files on your camera option. How do I reset that? Also is there an easy setting that will cause organizer to be the default when I plug in my nikon?
When I use the 'Convert to Black and White' menu option in Photoshop Elements 10, it does a good job, but it still leaves the file in RGB format (Colour)??
I am working for a Publishers, and I keep forgetting to convert the file to Grayscale after running the Wizard.
Wouldn't it have been easier to add this as an option at the end, and have they done this in Photoshop Elements 11 (or later...)?
I have recently installed Photoshop Elements 11 on a new Windows 7 64 bit PC.
When I try and send an attachment by email (Share - File Attachment) then my Outlook 2010 client is missing from the list of Email Client options. I only see the Adobe service and Windows Live Mail.
Is there a way of getting Elements 11 to recognise that I have Outlook 2010 installed ?
Photoshop Elements 10 - Group Shot Crashes after I select the option from the menu. I am using Windows XP. Is there a workaround or is there a way to fix this?
