How do I change the right click and edit association so a jpg opens for editing in CS6 instead of CS5 in Windows 7? I'd like to keep both programs installed and Windows no longer offers the ability to edit the "edit" association.
View 7 RepliesJust getting used to elements 11 - the tilt shift in the guided edit does not change when I click on the icon, then click and drag. I am sure I am following instructions correctly, but nothing changes when I try to rezone the area I wish to have showing without blur. I could do in operation in the expert mode, but it should work in guided edit.
View 7 Replies View RelatedLR5 is showing many of my images as missing. When I point to the correct location, it says that that image is associated with another photo in the catalog. I cannot update it to the correct location. I have deleted the preview folder hoping a rebuild will fix this but it hasn't. I recently 'moved' 140 K + photos to new drives, that's when the problems showed up.
View 2 Replies View Relatedfor no apparent reason I am suddenly unable to change the layer that a object is assigned to. Normally I select a line, then go to the layers pull down menu and click on the desired new layer. Automatically the line changes color to the selected layer.
When I follow this procedure now, the layer name changes in the pull down menu as if the change has been made, but the line remains the old color. Checking in Properties for this line, it shows that it has been changed to the new layer as well, however, when I reselect the line, the Properties changes back to show that it is still assigned to the old layer (color: By Layer is selected).
I sometimes create parts that are very similar to one another. (ie. - complex plate, but one part uses threaded holes, while an identical one has through holes, with all holes in the same location). So before now I would have built one part, made my drawing file. Then Copy/paste the part file into the same assembly folder, edit the hole feature of the newly copied part, then have to create an entirely new drawing file for the new copied part.
Is there a way to just copy my already created part drawing, and then just change the part file it used? They are basically the same part, but one uses threaded holes, the other uses through holes. My current way seems redundant and time wasting.
I was just wondering if it is at all possible to edit what shows up in the right-click options box within PS. I am Using PS CS5 12.1 at work and if I could add a few things into this options box, such as the align-left/right/center options, it would really work with my workflow. I already have some actions set for various functions, but if I could add some extras for quick access via right-click it would make my world and my day so much brighter!

Once I click transform (which I have to) the layer no longer allows me to click and edit the layer. I like to re-size my images in relation to the multiple images I place on a document. My previous version of photoshop did not create a transform box with each new file. How can I adjust photoshop so that it doesn't do this. I am using CS5 on a PC.

My friend here at work can't seem to double click on anything to edit it. If he single clicks it to say change the layer it wont change it. We have looked in our 'options' menu and everything is set up correct for double clicking. we have re started his computer but that didnt seem to work either.

I am using AutoCAD 2011 and I have been always used the Left click double click to edit text and now its not working. Is there a setting I'm not aware of that I can change.
Using LT 2014 on Win 7 Pro.
Recently got a new PC and due to problems with regular LT crashes I have recreated my customizations etc. from scratch.
Finally seem to have got everything working OK and how I it was on my old PC, other than one minor issue.
I have edited the CUI so that the "old" attribute editor (ATTEDIT) is launched rather than the enhanced (EATTEDIT) version.
However after double clicking a block a further third click is required to select block/launch editor.
Editing CUI back to EATTEDIT works ok with only a double click required.
My office has just installed 2012 on a couple of extra machines. Our installs were fine before but for some reason we can't double click to edit text or attributes any more. I've checked MTEXTED = INTERNAL and DBLCLKEDIT = 1 but that's not it. We can type ED or ATTEDIT to edit attributes normally, or MTEDIT to edit mtext but we don't get the normal text formatting bar or ruler. It's just looks like were using the dxtext editor, but it's not dtext.

If I wanted to just edit the extrusion, I would RMB and edit feature. Now when I DBL Click in the tree, it is the same as the RMB used to be. Now to edit any dim other than the extrusion, I have to edit sketch.

But why even I clicked "Add to working set" button on the toolbar, it still asks me select "Add" in command line?
Apparently I already selected "Add" button.
Is there a way to skip this command line option?
Every time I double click on single line text it brings up the properties. I have searched online and made the changes to certain toggle settings and still nothing. I'm not doing something right I just can't figure it out. I know "DDEDIT" can do the trick. But, I know double clicking has worked on previous version and I want it to work on my 2013 version.

In Windows (7) the file association is Windows Picture Viewer (NOT Paint!) and in Bridge it is associated with Photoshop CC. In InDesign we have the option of choosing which program to edit linked files with. In Illustrator we are stuck with the astounding Paint! Why?? 17 versions and this still bugs me!
View 2 Replies View RelatedOpacity is shown along with Diameter and Hardness, when Alt - Right click is done while using a round brush (in this case, with the Dodge tool).I guess it's late, but I don't sense a gesture that causes the Opacity to change in this mode. I tried all the modifier keys and moving the mouse every which way. I even tried the scroll wheel, but couldn't get the Opacity to change.

How do I change the Opacity (besides the old traditional way)?
I can't seem to click and drag an image with the mouse when using Full Screen Preview under the Edit Tab.
I see the hand icon and the scroll bars when the whole image can't fit on the screen but when I left click it's like I hit the Esc button.
Clicking the scrollbars will work but isn't as convenient. Under the Manage tab it works correctly. I have reset the workspace with no luck.
I use this feature a lot and would like to know if others have this problem.
The problem existed in X5 SP2 and now X5 SP3.
use i mac i7, lion 10.7.4.

It seems that, in CS6 Photoshop, I could RIGHT CLICK, and a small panel would drop down at cursor location, allowing me to change size, hardness, and roundness of the brush.

I have recently updated to 13.0.1. The technique described above no longer works, but I can't be sure that this happened after the update. I may, as often, have screwed up a preference checkbox.
All picture file formats have somehow become associated with Illustrator so that when I try to open a file in Photoshop from Bridge it opens in Illustrator instead. How can I re-associate all picture file formats with Photoshop?

I went in to associate my file types to open with the new version of PS..I go into the proper sub directory (CC) and find the .exe file..When I click on it it associates the file with my old version of PS.

If I reconnect the program Photoshop to psd file manually, does not recognize it (as if I had not made ​​the selection).
