I've done a grading "applying to entire lenght" but after done that I realized that I needed to do some located contentions. Is it possible to edit the grade for not applying it to entire lenght?When I go to the modify tab, edit grading, it does not appears the option "apply to entire lenght?"
View 9 RepliesURL... and completing all options related to the Mac, the "Edit in Photoshop..." still does not appear as a clckable option in my Lightroom 4.3 program which has all the current updates. Also, my Photoshop Elements 11 program also has all the current updates.
Please note that in the interest of time, that all of the "solutions" were attempted in the above mentioned link.

So given an area enclosed by a feature line, an infill grading can be created. Using the same features line, an feature line grading can also be created. what is the difference between these two surfaces? They both have no criteria applied to them.
I have a cround road with curb and gutter, sidewalk, a retaining wall, and pan at the top of the retaining wall behind it, and then a link slope to surface. From station 3+40 to 3+50 we are not putting in any pan. The topp of the the wall at these stations is at existing grade.
When I go into my corridor section editor at station 3+40 and delete the pan behind the wall it goes away. When I click on "apply to range of stations" and put in 3+50 for the end station, my corridor sections do not change. Why is this? 3+40 stays changed but thats the only one. I have rebuild automatic set and even if I click the update corridor button, it does not apply this station range.
Every time I double click on single line text it brings up the properties. I have searched online and made the changes to certain toggle settings and still nothing. I'm not doing something right I just can't figure it out. I know "DDEDIT" can do the trick. But, I know double clicking has worked on previous version and I want it to work on my 2013 version.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI am trying to access the edit original (edit with) option to edit a photo that has not been edited yet. I right click and go through the edit menu and does not appear or is not available? Would I have to reopen it manual in photoshop or is there a way around this to access that setting? it sometimes does not appear on my already edited photos.
I would prefer not to open each photo again, as some files i do not have and were imported into the document with another computer.
In LDDT, I was able to create points and manually assign a point number.
I know in Civil 3D 2013, i can assign a point number also by changing a toggle under Point Creation Tools to False.
My problem is that everytime I close out of that box and get back in, it reverts the toggle back to TRUE so I have to keep changing it back to False as well as the Next Point Number. In the above example, the Next Point Number should be 1147 (which is after my manually created point 1146) but it keeps going back to 33 which is the next available number after #1.
I'm experiencing problems with selecting objects. Usually, when I double clicked multi line text, I could edit it, now I get a text: "select an MTEXT object:", which basically means I have to select it again.
Another example of this is quick selection tool. Usually I selected the objects, then went to quick select pop up screen and under "Apply to:" I selected "Current selection". Now, there's only "Entire drawing" option and if i want current selection, I have to re-select it again.
I checked all the selection options and stuff. I attached some screenshots.
I need to time-stretch a whole comp. It's based on a Video blocks template, but for the purposes of this particular piece, I don't need to stretch the template itself, individual layers/clips/avi files, etc... The entire composition is moving about four times faster than it really needs to. Nothing needs to be individually adjusted; it's an "overall" issue-- I just need to stretch the 15 second time uniformly to one minute. For some reason, I'm having a lot of trouble finding out how to do this. Changing the duration/ time stretch has just created a sixty second video with fifteen seconds at the same speed and then forty-five seconds of black. There HAS to be a simple way to do this...

View 2 Replies View RelatedWith using superelevation wizard in Civil 3d 2012, changing the lane width is not affecting the resulted values of transion length and run-off length, Is that correct ? ( as civil is using standerd AASHTO tables which assume that lane width typically is 3.6m )
Also, There is only 2 tables for 2-lanes and 4-lanes roadway, Is it for total road width or for one directon only, and what about different no. of lanes ?
I'm trying to use the new arc length dimension feature in Inventor 2013 and I am having some trouble. After I apply a driven arc length dimension to a fully constrained sketch and then put user dimension in a user parameter I get an error when I rebuild the part. The error states the the dimension can not be solved.

The only way I can get this option to be available (not greyed out) is to have a closed loop sketch, if I have only a single line line sketch this option is not available.
I received a stp.file from a vendor and need to add shrink to the file. How do edit the file? Also, once the shrink is added I need to be able to make a split mold out of the part. How would I go about do that? I should be able to make a block; then cut the part out of the block. Is that correct?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to plan an access road which must run at least 2.5m away from an existing fenceline. I've put a few parallel road lines in at 3m distance, but at the fence bends I decided to put some circles at the bend points to give me a 3m radius. When I did this I was suprised to find that the circle extends further than my access road. I've dimensioned them both up, CAD is telling me they're both 3m away but they're clearly not at the same distance.

The only way I have found is to grab all the feature lines and raise them up by the required amount, but by doing that, the grading bogs down my system and it crashes, plus, I have grading attached to 3dpoly's and not necessarily all feature lines.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am drawing a pond levy. I draw the outline of the top of the fill, set that at the elevation I want, then grade it down to the existing surface on a 6:1. The grading works perfectly. The outline of the fill's footprint shows up just fine around the back of the fill, but the toe line doesn't show up all along the front side of the fill, but I still get the slope lines projecting down in the front.

I am working with Civil 3D 2014, I played with 2009 back in 2008 and before that it was Land desktop. I don't know if I am not following a standard workflow.
Build the EG from contours.Layout the CL for the ROW and convert to a horizontal alignments.Create the profiles.Design the vertical alignment in the profile.Create the assemblies for the different types of road sections.Full profile, pavement width assembly, the curb return assembly, the daylight left / right, 1/2 side left / right, and pavement width left / right.Build the corridor, set the target surface as EG or FG, depending on where the section of the corridor is located. (At the edge of the property to EG, then after the first building pad to FG)This is where I have a thought something is wrong. If I am grading the entire site, why would I have the ROW grade to the EG, when I will need the surface to grade from the ROW to the closest building pads?Create the intersections, using the different types of assemblies, per the ROW sections.Create feature lines and use elevation editor to set all the elevations around the pad.Using the Grading creation tool, grade to surface, using a 2:1 side slope. Then adding an infill to the pad.
I keep having the file crash after grading about 10 lots. I recover and it works find, but then the file runs very slow, and will crash. I haven't taken any classes in Civil 3d, and am looking for one in my area.
I am use to creating the vertical surface then creating points along the CL, TBC, FL, BOW then creating break lines along the points. Then create a break line for the pads, and build the FG contours from these break lines.
Say I have a grading that runs north south and goes down 2%, up 2% and so on waffling along. Is it a poor practice to trace the side edge of the grading (in the same site) to add another grading to pitch east west?

1 - The square helicopter pad is flat and grading with 2:1 fill, 1:1 cut.
2- The second FL is 2% slope down and grading with 2:1 fill, 1:1 cut.
3- The third FL is slope down to meet the existing road, both sides will same cut and fill.
