AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Delete Key Doesn't Work / Unable To Edit Text
Mar 4, 2009I have to go up to cut and select the object to delete. Also when I click on text the edit dialogue box doesn't come up. I have to go to properties to edit.

AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Double Click To Edit Text Doesn't Work
Oct 18, 2013Every time I double click on single line text it brings up the properties. I have searched online and made the changes to certain toggle settings and still nothing. I'm not doing something right I just can't figure it out. I know "DDEDIT" can do the trick. But, I know double clicking has worked on previous version and I want it to work on my 2013 version.

Jul 4, 2012I am using 2013LT. It crushed yesterday. Today when I opened my drgs. I can not edit text, delete anything. I also have noticed that menu under right click does not have the same options as before ie. block edit is not there and so on. I have opened differend dwg ones that I wasn't working on when it crushed and the same thing happed.
I opened my drawings with 2012LT and everything works fine.

Jul 26, 2012I have text in a drawing that wont edit or delete. I have heard there was a text bug and to fix it set DTEXTED to 1. I have done that, closed out and came back in and the text is still there and will not delete or edit.

Aug 8, 2012When I "Edit in Photoshop CS6" (CMD+E), CS6 launches but the image isn't sent to CS6. I just get the default CS working space. I've been using LR4.1 since it came out and just got CS6 (I didn't have previous version of CS).
I'm running LR4.1, CS6, ACR 7.1 on a Mac.
Lightroom :: Re-edit 32bit TIFF In PS Doesn't Work
Jun 3, 2012When I generate a 32 bit tiff (HDR) in PS CS5 from bracketed pictures within lightroom 4.1, import the tiff back into lightroom, adjust it in lightroom, and then send it back to PS (option "Edit a Copy with Lightroom Adjustments" selected) for further editing, the file won't open in PS. Opening the file directly in PS works, but without the adjustments made in lightroom.
I have tried the same with a 32 bit tiff from Photomatix. Same behaviour.

Oct 27, 2012Lightrrom 4.2 can't use the right click, "edit in" photoshop CS6. I have tried edit, preferences, and created a Preset and pointed it to the CS6 photoshop.exe... still a no-go.

Dec 16, 2011When I double-click on a text item, AutoCAD used to go to text edit mode, without entering the TEDIT command. This quit working - now I have to enter TEDIT.
Also, when I select items and hit the Delete key, nothing happens. The selected items used to get deleted.
I tried going to the Windows Start menu and resetting all of the settings to the defaults - this didn't work.
I also tried re-installing AutoCAD from my original disk, and that didn't work either.
AutoCAD 2013 :: Unable To Delete Text Style
Jul 1, 2013I`m working on this architecture project and copied some clean lines to the file from a landscape design project.
Somehow these text styles showed up to my file (more than 50 text styles from xrefs, because of their strange names, even though I don`t have any attachment). And it says that I cannot delete them cause I`m using it.
I`ve tried out everything I could imagine and read about it. It doesn`t work. Now this simple .dwg file is very heavy and with a lot of unwanted text styles. Even if I try to copy just the lines to start over another file, all the text styles go together.
Tried:
PURGE
AUDIT
RECOVER
WBLOCK
TXTMRG (not sure how to use it)
QTEXTMODE
Attached is one of the files that this happened to. As I`m working with a few attachments this happened to all of it. My default text style are "B3_1.5", "B3_2.0" and "B3_3.0". All the other are unwanted text styles.
AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Unable To Merge / Delete A Layer
Sep 24, 2013There's a layer in the drawing we received from the surveyor that doesn't match the client's standards. When I try to merge it with another layer or delete the layer, the command stops as soon as I pick a line on the layer. There are no objects visible on the layer so it may part of a style. I don't think it's part of a block as the surveyor used the client's blocks.

Jan 7, 2014Cannot delete label style component. This is for line annotation labels.
I created a child BRG-ONLY from a BRG-DIST and it will not allow me to delete the distance component. The red X is faded and not clickable.
This is my second day with a new company, and when somebody else created a similar child style apparently they could not either. The just made the distance component invisible... which I guess works almost as well.
How would I be able to pick a specific component to make sure I can delete it?

AutoCAD Civil 3D :: DGNPURGE Doesn't Work On All Computers
Jan 8, 2014This is in reference to the DGNPURGE command for Civil 3D 2014 that can be installed from this hotfix:[URL]
I have already installed Service pack 1 for Civil 3D 2014.
I installed this hotfix on 16 computers in my office. So far the command runs successfully on only 4 computers.
Everyone in my company uses Windows 7 64-bit on computers that are identical. Once the hotfix is installed it doesn't work for everyone. It will run, but it returns this error:
"Unable to erase stroke (AcDbZombieObject): eNotAllowedForThisProxy"
That error is displayed thousands of times, I assume once for each unreferenced stroke. The at the end it says this:
"Purged 0 unreferenced complex linetype records (of 0). Purged 0 unreferenced strokes (of 19970)."
For only a few people, when they run DGNPURGE on the same exact drawing and it purges the unreferenced strokes just fine. It then says:
"Purged 0 unreferenced complex linetype records (of 0) Purged 19969 unreferenced strokes (of 19970)"
Each installation of Civil 3D was performed in exactly the same way from a deployment by one of our IT staff members. In addition, we already tried uninstalling Civil 3D and reinstalling it on one of the computers and it still doesn't work.
At the suggestion of Autodesk support I tried starting one of the computers in diagnostic mode and that didn't work either.I made sure to use the files in the px64 folder. In addition, I did try the files in the px86 folder just to see if they would work and they do not.Also, I have installed the Civil 3D 2012 hotfix for everyone and it works fine for everyone including those who the C3D 2014 hotfix doesn't work.
AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Open Command Doesn't Work
Apr 27, 2010the user is running C3D. He can only open a drawing if its in the previously open files list or he can open with Explorer. If he clicks the open toolbar or selects open from the menu or even types it at the command prompt, nothing happens. It seems to be trying to do something because the command prompt doesn't come back unless he escapes. If he instead hits enter, he gets a message that says it can't find the file specified - even though he never got a chance to specify anything. It's not FILEDIA and he has rebooted. It's also not hiding the open dialog box behind the acad screen.

Assign your drawing a coordinate system. Now label a point in your drawing with the newly created Lat-Long label. Tell me if it works. I've not had any luck with it. I can do it fine in Civil 3D 2012, but no matter what I do (old drawing, new drawing, any template) it just doesn't seem to work in Civil 3D 2013.

Jun 25, 2009The draw order toolbar icon is displayed on screen. When I try to change the draw order, I hit the toolbar and get an AI_Draworder unknown command. I even moved the toolbar in a different part of the screen. The only why I can now change the draw order on an entity is the type in the word draworder in the command line. Is there any way to reactiviate the draw order toolbar?

May 31, 2012In LDDT, I was able to create points and manually assign a point number.
I know in Civil 3D 2013, i can assign a point number also by changing a toggle under Point Creation Tools to False.
My problem is that everytime I close out of that box and get back in, it reverts the toggle back to TRUE so I have to keep changing it back to False as well as the Next Point Number. In the above example, the Next Point Number should be 1147 (which is after my manually created point 1146) but it keeps going back to 33 which is the next available number after #1.

Mar 21, 2013I have a cround road with curb and gutter, sidewalk, a retaining wall, and pan at the top of the retaining wall behind it, and then a link slope to surface. From station 3+40 to 3+50 we are not putting in any pan. The topp of the the wall at these stations is at existing grade.
When I go into my corridor section editor at station 3+40 and delete the pan behind the wall it goes away. When I click on "apply to range of stations" and put in 3+50 for the end station, my corridor sections do not change. Why is this? 3+40 stays changed but thats the only one. I have rebuild automatic set and even if I click the update corridor button, it does not apply this station range.
