I can not edit the M text & field text in title box.My system is Windows Xp Professional 2002, Inventor 11.
I tried to install Microsoft Hotfix KB918118 as I did before, but I coulden't. System massege show my system is newer than that, so I do not need it. Then I installed Hotfix for text problem caused by Microsoft Hotfix KB918118. I can edit M Text now, but still I could not edit Field Text.
change copyright year in field text (through edit definition) in title block.
Our titleblocks have a copyright year statement that needs updating everytime a new year comes around.
Currently we select the titleblock, edit definition, edit text, and make the change. Currently reads "2012 (company B) CORPORATION"
I am using a symbol that includes a several text boxes. Each text box includes "prompted text" and "drawing properties". When I insert the symbol onto a drawing, the "Edit Property Fields" menu appears. In this menu, I can input my prompted field text or see the various "drawing properties".
My question is, how do I change the order that these property fields are displayed? It seems as if it depends on the order that the text boxes were created while defining the symbol definition. Is there any other way to change the display order?
I have created an attribute using a date field. Now I'm unable to edit it and change or review it.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI am using 2013 Inventor.My company uses the .dwg file extension instead of .idw (if that makes a difference).When I make a new .dwg file and insert an .ipt file for my first base drawing ..The material field of the .dwg Title Block is populated.This is something I would like to avoid.When I open iProps in the .ipt drawing and go to the Physical/Material Tab don’t seem to have the option to display a blank (no information) in the material field in the Title Block.The closest I can come to this is to choose Generic, which looks kind of odd.
My company chooses to give all material specs in a note displayed on the drawing.In case of a material change at some point, I do NOT want to have to change the note on the drawing AS WELL AS the Material information in the .ipt iProps.The reason is that, sooner or later, I’ll forget to change both(which will lead to confusion) and possibility lead to making junk parts (made of the wrong material) which will then have to be thrown away (at perhaps a major loss).
Is it possible to put a date field in a IDW title block that only shows the year?
It's for a copyright date & I'm trying to avoid having to type it in every time or remember to change it every year ion every sheet.

View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen editing the properties for the title block on each sheet of my drawing, I've become rather annoyed with the default column width of the Value column. It always opens to the same width no matter how many times I change it. Every time I edit something in the title block, I have to resize this column to see everything I'm editing.
Any way to change the default width it opens at?

I just recently received error from one of our customers regarding this kind of error (see attachment).
They are trying to reuse their own customized template to other PCs, they are copying these files to the template folder of Inventor. This method is successfully done in all of their pcs except for the two.
I have an ilogic assembly that I change to different widths. And I want ilogic to put the part number into the title block according to the size of the assembly.
What I have works but won't update on its own. I have to open the ilogic rule and close it, then open the i properties of the idw and close before it will update.
My IT have just upgraded my pc system means to reinstalled my 2008LT. now i cannot edit my text. the MText bar will appear on my top left corner and best .
View 9 Replies View RelatedI am using 2013LT. It crushed yesterday. Today when I opened my drgs. I can not edit text, delete anything. I also have noticed that menu under right click does not have the same options as before ie. block edit is not there and so on. I have opened differend dwg ones that I wasn't working on when it crushed and the same thing happed.
I opened my drawings with 2012LT and everything works fine.
I have a problem to edit the dimension with autocad 2012. When i try to double click on the dimension text, i have a error message. This command doesn't exit.

View 3 Replies View RelatedAny method when in the Library module to quickly edit the Title and Caption per image without having to use the mouse to click in the Title box each time. For instance - my current workflow is a bunch of products with their own SKU titles. Usually I would follow this step:
1. Import images from Camera -> Lightroom
2. Open Library and click on first image, select the Title field and enter the SKU (for instance : HG4356)
3. Now I would click in Title and type in "PROFILE" or "TOP" or "SIDE"
4. I would then use the right hand key on the keyboard to move to the next image in my filmstrip and then have to use the mouse to click into the Title field again.
5. Once all these images are completey named, I select them all and then select Library -> Rename Photos and use the Title_Caption as my fields and rename all my files to the correct SKU names.
I can usually automate option 3 somewhat by selecting all the PROFILE views and doing a sync etc... but the SKU section gets a bit tedious when having to mouse click each time into the field. Ideally, I would like a "Naming" feature where it asks for the name, upon typing it in and pressing enter, it jumps to the next image, into the same field and you can start typing again.
I know its sounds a bit lazy - but when you have over a 1000+ images to rename - it does take its time - and anything to speed up this process.
One of the guys here has created a title block which has a scale field in it, this field reads the scale at which the title block is brought in, by use of an invisible attribute (he used the block in model space so that's why I scale them up). When he xref the dwg into my main drawing all is fine and the scales are as they should be but when he prints, the scales all show 1:1 on the print and in the main drawing. Could this be due to the fact that the xref is brought in at 1:1? But we can't see why this would change it as the block is obviously still at e.g. 1:50 in the xref.

If the above is not possible my fallback plan would like to make a sketched symbol function in exactly the same way. I believe this option would be significantly more code. If I have to go this route, is there a way to directly mimic getting the item number like the balloon function does?
--My current process involves attaching a user symbol, getting the proper leader node, attached entity, geometry, model geometry, containing occurrence, and then BOM of the component occurrence. Keep in mind this doesn't work for phantom or reference components.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI successfully created multiple hatch regions in a sketch on a section view in a drawing. I want to change or delete one of the hatch regions, but am unsuccessful. I clicked on Fill/Hatch Region and then selected the region that already has a hatch defined, but the dialog box does not show that these is a hatch defined.
If I click the hatch button it creates another hatch over the top of the current one and does not allow the current one to be deleted or changed. Of the four regions in my sketch, one works and the other three do not.
I try to edit the table of an iPart via a spreadsheet (EXCEL 2010) and it does not launch EXCEL. I saw other posts with changing the registery and I am not too confident on what to remove or even how to do it.
View 6 Replies View Relatedediting the text in a web page template that I downloaded from a free template web site. The page is .psd file, I opened it in photoshop ver 6, went on to those layers which are having text. the layers clearly denotes T , I double clicked on T but as per tutorial I read on a web site, the text is not highlighted or selected, instead the blinking cursor comes over that text and when i try to write something it overwrite the new text over the previous one and previous text is as it is as its before.
I also tried to edit the text by going on vertical tool bar, clicking the T button, and then double clicking on the required text but it also doesnt work. After going through couple of tutorial websites and reading it, I came to know that text layer might be rasterized, I checked in the main menu, the layer is not rasterized and clearly show the letter T.
I use 2.8.2. I have some words on a picture, in a text layer. I didn't make anything with the text, it is pure text. I want to edit it. I open the layer and click on the text. As soon as I click, I get a new text field, and if I write something, a new text-layer opens. The old one is untouchable. What can I do?

Where in the SQLite database is the "Title" field? I have analyzed the database structure (after linking a copy of the LRCAT to MS-Access via ODBC), and found practically all fields of interest. I even managed to convert the shutter speed and aperture data (which are logarithmic) to useful values. But I did not find the "Title" field in the DB. I found that any entry made into "Title" is written into the picture file's EXIF data but I cannot believe that LR uses that as the only storage for the picture title.
Note: I do not use the database link to change any data in the LR database. I use this only to more effective browse through the picture data
PS: If the Title field is not currently in the LRCAT database I would suggest to add it. It does not make sense in my opinion to have 99% of the picture data inside LR, and rely on the picture file's EXIF data for one or two items.
How to do this ? After ok seems to keep the single-row text.. I wish to fit that margin border.

How do I edit a part in an assembly.
Can I pre-fill some of text in my drawing’s title block under the “Field Text” –“Edit Property Fields” ? Because some of the files I will use the same text again and again, if I can save the pre-fill text title block in the template, it will save me lots of time.
