View 3 RepliesWhere in the SQLite database is the "Title" field? I have analyzed the database structure (after linking a copy of the LRCAT to MS-Access via ODBC), and found practically all fields of interest. I even managed to convert the shutter speed and aperture data (which are logarithmic) to useful values. But I did not find the "Title" field in the DB. I found that any entry made into "Title" is written into the picture file's EXIF data but I cannot believe that LR uses that as the only storage for the picture title.
Note: I do not use the database link to change any data in the LR database. I use this only to more effective browse through the picture data
PS: If the Title field is not currently in the LRCAT database I would suggest to add it. It does not make sense in my opinion to have 99% of the picture data inside LR, and rely on the picture file's EXIF data for one or two items.
Any method when in the Library module to quickly edit the Title and Caption per image without having to use the mouse to click in the Title box each time. For instance - my current workflow is a bunch of products with their own SKU titles. Usually I would follow this step:
1. Import images from Camera -> Lightroom
2. Open Library and click on first image, select the Title field and enter the SKU (for instance : HG4356)
3. Now I would click in Title and type in "PROFILE" or "TOP" or "SIDE"
4. I would then use the right hand key on the keyboard to move to the next image in my filmstrip and then have to use the mouse to click into the Title field again.
5. Once all these images are completey named, I select them all and then select Library -> Rename Photos and use the Title_Caption as my fields and rename all my files to the correct SKU names.
I can usually automate option 3 somewhat by selecting all the PROFILE views and doing a sync etc... but the SKU section gets a bit tedious when having to mouse click each time into the field. Ideally, I would like a "Naming" feature where it asks for the name, upon typing it in and pressing enter, it jumps to the next image, into the same field and you can start typing again.
I know its sounds a bit lazy - but when you have over a 1000+ images to rename - it does take its time - and anything to speed up this process.
I am using 2013 Inventor. My company uses the .dwg file extension instead of .idw (if that makes a difference). When I make a new .dwg file and insert an .ipt file for my first base drawing ..The material field of the .dwg Title Block is populated. This is something I would like to avoid. When I open iProps in the .ipt drawing and go to the Physical/Material Tab don’t seem to have the option to display a blank (no information) in the material field in the Title Block. The closest I can come to this is to choose Generic, which looks kind of odd.
My company chooses to give all material specs in a note displayed on the drawing. In case of a material change at some point, I do NOT want to have to change the note on the drawing AS WELL AS the Material information in the .ipt iProps. The reason is that, sooner or later, I’ll forget to change both(which will lead to confusion) and possibility lead to making junk parts (made of the wrong material) which will then have to be thrown away (at perhaps a major loss).
One of the guys here has created a title block which has a scale field in it, this field reads the scale at which the title block is brought in, by use of an invisible attribute (he used the block in model space so that's why I scale them up). When he xref the dwg into my main drawing all is fine and the scales are as they should be but when he prints, the scales all show 1:1 on the print and in the main drawing. Could this be due to the fact that the xref is brought in at 1:1? But we can't see why this would change it as the block is obviously still at e.g. 1:50 in the xref.

View 2 Replies View RelatedHow do I make Lightroom automatically fill out the Altitude field as well, when dragging a picture onto the map? I don't suppose it's all too common to be anywhere above (or below) ground level, and I do believe Google Maps has altitude information in it. Roughly at least. And if I where on a tall building, or in a mine, I could still change it afterwards.
I'm using Lightroom 4.3 atm, can I make it do this?
Bridge has a field in the EXIF metadata called Exposure Mode. Lightroom does not. Can this field be added in Lightromm? And, if so, how?

View 4 Replies View Relatedhow to create "Depth of field" in photographs but the effect is not really what I want.In all of the tutorials they create two layer and blur one of them, then apply a mask and gradient it to create the effect of dof. This is not what I wan't because it does't make the scene gradually more blurry, it only creates an extremely blurry layer and applies it gradually.
So what I'm looking for is a filter or plugin that gradually increases the strength of a blur using a mask.
I use CorelCAD 2013 and the software seems perfect to me. But now i realized a huge problem. I only use CAD in 2D Mode. When i make the drawings i have different Z Values in the Field "Normal Z". I don't know why CorelCad does this. I never put in a Z Value.
Is the Normal Z Value editable? When i export the Drawing to my cam system the drawing is disarranged but only all Values with different Z. Normally the value is zero but she lines are -1...?
why, when setting up a field on a drawing,... you cannot choose the Revision? It should show up as a Document Field category... but it is not available to choose? How are you supposed to link a revision field in your title block, to the revision set as a file property by Vault? URL.....

View 2 Replies View RelatedI just contacted Photomatix concerning this issue. They have developed the HDR plugin, which takes a series of bracketed exposures and picks the best portions of each to produce a composite of the best exposures for each area of the scene.
Now I want to find an equivalent program which accepts a sequence of images taken at varying hyperfocal distances in order to produce an image with a larger than expected depth of focus. The alternative would be simply to select the best, in-focus portions of each exposure and combine them for the desired result.
Photomatix thought that Photoshop CS4 has a capability in this regard.
