After Effects :: Plugins In Mediacore Folder Does Not Load?
Mar 2, 2014
I installed my Afterfx and Premiere in "D:program filesAdobe", and MBLooks plugin, it was installed in the folder "D:Program FilesAdobeCommonPlug-ins7.0MediaCore" automatically, but it was not loaded by Afterfx and Premiere, then I move the plugin to "C:Program FilesAdobeCommonPlug-ins7.0MediaCore", it's loaded.

When using the ploygonal lasso in CC I find I cannot complete a selection without the lasso completing itself accross the proposed selection area.Did not experience this with CS6 -Have I got a setting wrong? Also how do I load in my plug ins particularly Nik software?
After I migrated to Windows 7, PSPX3 does not load the plug-ins anymore. It says: "No plug-ins loaded." Older versions of PSP can load the plugins from the same directory, but not PSPX3. I have tried resetting the cache, and have checked the file location. It's correct and it is notched, but nothing works. I have 6Gb of RAM so it should do. Of course, I could always run the scripts in PSP8, so it's no big deal. But it should work.
Planning on moving to 2013 from 2009, but I want 2009 working during the migrations period...
How to get 3DS MAX 2009 working with backburner 2013.
The Backburner manager dosn't seem to load any 2009 render plugins, I've upgraded the current node with the latest Service pack/hot fix for 2009, which adressed the an compability issue with backburner 2012. Isn't BB 2012 also using the new "render adapters"?
Tried everything... reinstalls, regedit checks, AppData cleans and so on...
Took a "while" just to get BB 2013 running at all, until I found a way to disable IPv6 via the helper service.
Why on earth would Adobe remove the ability to point to a folder for additional plug-ins? I'm sure they will have lots of good reasons. However, the standard folder is embedded in the AppData folder in Windows. That folder resides on the system (C:) drive. I always install Plugs in a folder on a separate drive on my system (D:) so as to make it easy to manage and navigate.
makes upgrades/re-installations smoother and it is very simple to disable them for troubleshooting. If you disable the selection of the dedicated folder, you can compare performance. IF that solves your problem you can tilde them all out and re-enable them one by one to find the specific conflict.
I have CS3 and finally I can update to CS6. I have this plugins
AV Bros Puzzle Pro 3.0 L'amico Perry - Luce Nik Software (Color Efect Pro 3.0 Complete - Dfine 2.0 - Sharpener Pro 3.0 - Silver Efex Pro - Viveza) Redfield (arround 15) Topaz Labs (Adjust - Clean - DeNoise - Detail - Remask - Simplify)
I have a problem with CS3 since many time ago[URL]...But I have one question: If I backup the folder plugins, I really can use it with CS6 before I install it?
I copied my PS CS5 Plug Ins folder into my CS6 one & it started having problems opening & errors... what the basic/original ones should be in PS CS^6 Plug In folder?
I just got my student/teacher copy of CC. In PS, under preferences for plugins, there is no option to allow me to direct to an alternate folder for plugins. Am I missing something? It says it's up to date, but no matter what I do I can not get any plugins to show. No matter what folder I put them in.
I've got about 4 hours of work into solving the dreaded "Photoshop: CS6 saves in wrong file format on MacOS when trying to load obsolete plugins" (Aside: I don't suppose I can send Adobe an invoice for billable hours?? Naw, never happen.)
I could still not get CS6 PS to open and "save as" correctly. All of my plug-ins were current and the only linked ones were reinstalled after PS was updated. URL.... I saw multiple mentions of the "Standard Multiple Plugin" as a possible source of the problem. Found this file in /Library/ Application Support/Adobe/Plug-ins. (Mac OS X 10.7.5) Removed the file and PS does what it should: defaults to all file formats on open and allows any format to be selected on "save as."
Get Info identifies this file as an Adobe plugin ver. 12.0.2 created and modified 7/18/11 obviously well before I got CS6. It also shows an Adobe copyright (2003-2010) message so this is NOT a third party plugin, nor is it a bad symlink, nor is it an outdated 3rd party plugin. Since this was placed there by the Adobe install and not modified by the CS6 upgrade, I can only conclude that Adobe wanted it there. What - if anything- will happen without this file in place and if it is necessary where does one obtain a new one?
I did not copy any old plug-ins to the new program nor did I have any bad aliases nor did I have multiple copies of anything.
Since upgrading to LR 5.2, I can no longer upload photos to Facebook. I get this message: "An error occurred while attempting to load this plug-in’s portion of the Export dialog. attempt to index upvalue '?' (a nil value)"
How do I get LR 5.2 to work again with my Facebook account?
After upgrading I realized I am missing some external plugins I had installed.
Those I am missing are ones that I had in an external folder that you could set in preferences. The ability to set an Additional Plugin Folder is gone. Can I set an external plugin folder?
When I add an addtional plugin using preferences-plugins in CS6 the plugin shows up in cs6 but my active tools will pulsate or vibrate around when I try to use them. If I uncheck the preferences-plugins- additoonal plugins and reboot the pulsating of the tools ceases. Any way to stop the pulsating tools?
Concerning the folder "ApplicationPlugins" found in C: Program File > Autodesk > ApplicationPlugins:
With AutoCAD 2012 I could dump my LISP routines that I use a lot and they would be auto-loaded in any drawing that I opened. I loved it....
With 2013, I try the same thing and it doesn't work. And from what I have been reading, I have to make a folder sturcture with the suffix ".bundle" and create an .xml file in order for these to run....
The ability of the ApplicationPlugins folder from 2012 was awesome. Is there a way to make 2013 act like 2012 for this folder?I have checked my variables and they are set the same as 2012:
APPAUTOLOAD = 14
I have also ran the command APPAUTOLOADER and selected the "Reload" option and then Listed what applications it sees in the possible folders and it only recognizes folders that are .bundle folders AutoCAD Tips Blog
I've got a few months' experience tinkering with .NET programming for AutoCAD under my belt, and I feel like I have a decent understanding of how to do various basic one-time operations in the drawing space...
But now I find myself wanting to create things that are dynamic and self-updating...say, for example, a "custom" version of a GEOMCONSTRAINT operation or something that draws custom entities based on the properties of a Civil 3D object and then erases and redraws these entities whenever the Civil 3D objects are changed.
I know that for performing one-time operations, transactions are the "vehicles" that get the job done...what is the "vehicle" I'm looking for here? (I'm hoping that what I'm describing is indeed possible?)
I had a folder with a lot of presets in Lightroom 5. When I start the program I only see the Lightroom presets and a couple of presets I made earlier. I started all the backups I made since Lightroom 5 but none starts with the bundle of presets I want. Is there something I can do to start the program again with all my presets? By the way, I see all the presets-names I made in the Lightroom-presets map (in the folder Develop-presets more specified).
I have installed some new fonts in my windows font folder, but they are not showing up in illustrator. I am using a cloud version of illustrator and have tried closing and restarting to no avail.
For my particular workflow, I find that loading thumbnails as step 1 of the import process to not be of much value for me.
I would prefer to load all images from the camera CF card directly into my "Import" folder in Lightroom without having to first view and select images for import.
Step 2 for me would then distribute the images into other named folders in LR prior to the development, skipping the thumbnail phase of the process.
So, the Q: Is there any setting that allows importation into a selected folder in LR without first going through the thumbnail process?
Text animation presets do not load in After Effects CC (or Adobe Bridge when browsing presets). They don't show up in Effects & Presets panel. I believe they used to show up but no longer. They are in the presets folder so I'm not sure why they won't load in either program.
I have a sequence that has some video that I wanted to edit in After Effects. I right-clicked on the video in the sequence and selected "Replace with After Effects composition" and did my editing. It shows up in the sequence as Linked Comp 5 but Premiere will not or cannot load the media. Why is this and how can I fix it? I have already closed the program and rebooted to no effect.
Every now and again and usually after a crash, when I start up AE I get a message saying that the AE media cache folder does not exist. When I check on my drive for that folder, AE is quite right - it is not there. I use a separate SSD for all my media caching and another drive for footage and another as my start up drive. I set AE to use a folder called A:AE Cache. For whatever reason AE is deleting this folder. Other folders on this drive remain as they are. Unless I have a goblin sneaking into my suite on a night deleting this folder or Windows decides to delete this folder all on it's own then it is almost definitely AE that is doing it.
I recently purchased a LaCie external SSD solely for the purpose of storing my After Effects disk cache. The SSD connects to my MacBook Pro via Thunderbolt.
When I check the info on the SSD, it says it has 254 GB available, so I set the maximum disk cache size in AE to 200 GB, and created a folder on the SSD for the cache. Then I pointed to that folder in AE as the specified disk cache folder.
When I relaunch AE, though, it tells me I don't have enough space in my disk cache folder to accomodate the 200 GB max I set, even though I have 254 GB free on the SSD when I check.
Does this have to do with me creating an empty folder on the SSD to house the cache? Do I have to just use the root folder of the SSD to make use of all the available space?I just found out AE doesn't even let you use the root of a drive as the cache folder, so that can't be the problem..
When i open up after effects i get this warning "Your disk cache folder is on a drive that does not have enough available space to safely store the full amount secified in your preferences. please make more space available or go to media & disk cache preferences to change the folder or maximum disk cache size" I think this is slowing up my whole suite. I clear my disc cache folder all the time and i still get this warning. How can i fix this? Also this is a 2 part question if it can be answered i think it may have to do with the first question. When i try to add a cross dissolve in premiere pro i get this "insufficient media. this transition will contain repeated frames" .
