View 7 Replies View RelatedAlthough Paint Shop Pro X4 runs the filters from Topaz Labs correctly on a single file, PSPX4 chokes when running the filters as part of a script in batch files. Not only was the program unable to apply the plug-ins correctly in a batch file, the errors were different depending on the plug-in.
I ran my tests on 8 JPG files with dimensions of 4021x3024 pix, file size averaging 2.8 MB. I then reduced the files to 800x600 pix dimensions and ran the same tests. Results were the same on both size groups. I recorded a script with only each Topaz filter, then tested the script on a single image. The script worked. The problems occurred when run in batch processing. I tested against another company's plug-in, running Alien Skin's Xenofex 2 Burnt Edges in a batch file with script on the 8 images with no problem. I also tested the same Topaz Labs filters in PhotoLine 16, recording and playing actions. The plug-ins ran perfectly in PhotoLine.
When batch processing was run in PSPX4, it was run with the test script selected and silent mode selected. Silent mode means the script should run from start to finish with no intervention by the user. Here's what happened in my tests.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhy on earth would Adobe remove the ability to point to a folder for additional plug-ins? I'm sure they will have lots of good reasons. However, the standard folder is embedded in the AppData folder in Windows. That folder resides on the system (C:) drive. I always install Plugs in a folder on a separate drive on my system (D:) so as to make it easy to manage and navigate.
View 2 Replies View Relatedmakes upgrades/re-installations smoother and it is very simple to disable them for troubleshooting. If you disable the selection of the dedicated folder, you can compare performance. IF that solves your problem you can tilde them all out and re-enable them one by one to find the specific conflict.

I have a problem with CS3 since many time ago[URL]...But I have one question: If I backup the folder plugins, I really can use it with CS6 before I install it?
I just got my student/teacher copy of CC. In PS, under preferences for plugins, there is no option to allow me to direct to an alternate folder for plugins. Am I missing something? It says it's up to date, but no matter what I do I can not get any plugins to show. No matter what folder I put them in.

Those I am missing are ones that I had in an external folder that you could set in preferences. The ability to set an Additional Plugin Folder is gone. Can I set an external plugin folder?
When I add an addtional plugin using preferences-plugins in CS6 the plugin shows up in cs6 but my active tools will pulsate or vibrate around when I try to use them. If I uncheck the preferences-plugins- additoonal plugins and reboot the pulsating of the tools ceases. Any way to stop the pulsating tools?

running on a PC windows 7 with 16 meg of ram and 6 core processor, had previously had CS 5 mater edition running fine. cleaned it off the system and now cannot for the life of me get cs6 or cc to work.
If I try and load new 3D materials using the "Load Materials" menu item Photoshop sends me to a web page which no longer allows logins due to the transition to Revel. Since Revel appears to be for user content I can't see why the 3D materials would be there.Where are the additional 3D textures for Photoshop ? I have searched Adobe.com but cant find a mention of them directly.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to create a timeline wherein the camera rotates in a circle around a 3d Object that is located at the origin of the Ground Plane. I click 3d Camera in the Timeline to create my beginning keyframe, I drag the time slider to the end of the timeline, and I Rotate the camera view around the Z (vertical central) axis of the ground plane. I have the caps lock on so that the ground plane stays perfectly level as I rotate.)
As I am rotating the 3d Camera, the entire scene appears to rotate around the Z axis at the origin of the ground plane, which is what I want the animation to look like, but this is not the scene that plays back. When I play back the scene by clicking the play button or dragging the time slider, it rotates off-axis around some other center of rotation, with my 3d object often rotating out of the scene.
When I open Elements 9 in Folder Location the images displayed are not those in the highlighted folder. Similarly if I select another folder I see another selection of images from elsewhere in the structure.

The Watch Folder service returned an error: Access is denied.
I looked around the site using search and Google, and found a few other occurences of this error, but they all only show answers that apply to network shares. Installed Elements 12, converted catalog but now my sub folders are shown as main folders in Organizer folder view. How can I get back my original folder/sub folder system? When I look at Windows folders my system is as it was so the two don't match any more. On searching further came across more info on Community-powered support for Photoshop Family and it seems Adobe have removed the option of sub folders.

Not sure if it's a bug or not but when removing a whole project the "random" folder(s) are still in the Media Storage folder. Everything connected to the project(s) are gone but not the random folder smoke creates when creating project files. Any specific reason their still in the Media Storage folder?

When importing something off of a DVD or CD how do I direct Lightroom to copy the imported images or folder to a specific folder on my hard drive? It seems to default to MyCatalog but leaves the location on the CD rather than copying it to the drive. If I remove the CD the images is reported as missing.

I was in the process of moving a folder inside or LR. I might have clicked and moved it twice since it was very slow. LR wasn't able to complete the move and gave me an error message. After I clicked "OK" on the error message, I wasn't able to find my folder/images from the old or new location. I did a spotlight search on my mac, but I wasn't able to find them anywhere. Where has my folder/images gone? I tried to locate them without any success.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've got about 10,000 photos that I've moved in lightroom by creating a folder called 'pictures' on the external drive using the left folders panel. I then selected all the images in the root drive on my computer and dragged them onto the 'pictures' folder on the external drive, and I expected the folder structure to come with it. Only after I realised that they had all moved into one folder. Is there a way of moving the images back into a structure without manually doing it? Here's a screenshot.....
View 9 Replies View RelatedIm using the most recent version of Lightroom 5.3 (updated through CC - even though this has shown up on previous version) on Windows 7 and all the folders in my library are showing up with the directory path in front of my folder names. How can I get rid of this? I do not see any options in preferences to turn this off. I have also turned off preferences in Windows > Folder Options Control Panel "Display full Path in Title bar" option.
