Photoshop :: Adobe CS6 Extended 3D Camera Rotation Timeline - Not Working?
Apr 10, 2013
I'm trying to create a timeline wherein the camera rotates in a circle around a 3d Object that is located at the origin of the Ground Plane. I click 3d Camera in the Timeline to create my beginning keyframe, I drag the time slider to the end of the timeline, and I Rotate the camera view around the Z (vertical central) axis of the ground plane. I have the caps lock on so that the ground plane stays perfectly level as I rotate.)
As I am rotating the 3d Camera, the entire scene appears to rotate around the Z axis at the origin of the ground plane, which is what I want the animation to look like, but this is not the scene that plays back. When I play back the scene by clicking the play button or dragging the time slider, it rotates off-axis around some other center of rotation, with my 3d object often rotating out of the scene.
In the timeline panel in CS6 EXTENDED, you have a video feature, where you can animate three things:
Position Style Opacity
What I would like to know, is: How can I animate rotation of a layer? I want to rotate my layer at an angle and animate it. But when I rotate, the first animation frame is also rotated, resulting in NO animation between the frames.
My computer has run Windows 7 ,Run Adobe Photoshop CS6 Extended,I click "edit"-"Control of deformation",the Adobe Photoshop CS6 Extended Stop Working. Why?
I am able to use premiere pro and after effect but cannot get either illustrator or photoshop cs6 or cc to work.information that I get at start up is problem signature:
running on a PC windows 7 with 16 meg of ram and 6 core processor, had previously had CS 5 mater edition running fine. cleaned it off the system and now cannot for the life of me get cs6 or cc to work.
I am having problem with my video timeline on my Photoshop CS6 Extended. The timeline shows frames instead of the normal video timeline, my timeline by default is completely different from what I have seen in CS6 Video Editing tutorials all over the internet.
Furthermore, I cant open or drag vidoes to the document, I have tried MPG, MP4, AVI and FLV video formats but it says, 'no parser or file format can open the file'.
I have tried multiple times now to download a trial for Photoshop CS6 Extended. Everyone says that the CS6 trial is already the extended version and only changes based on your serial number at purchase but every time I try to open a video project of mine it says "This file contains a timeline-based animation (Photoshop Extended only)"
I am using PS in a traditional animation capacity--drawing each frame of animation by hand on a seperate layer. I loved doing this in 5.5 and it worked wonderfully on my machine. There are a couple of problems for me with CS6 that perhaps
My main problem is that when i play back my animation (I prefer to use the clips/layers version as opposed to the "frame" version which is more limited in my opinion), the image quality is horrible. When I say "play back" I mean hitting the spacebar and playing it, not rendering it. This feature worked like a charm in CS5.5, but the quality is very low in CS6. The same thing happens when scrubbing with the play head--the image quality gets all blocky and pixelly looking. The funny thing is, when I stop playback or stop scrubbing through frames, the images go back to thier normal state.
When I first saw this happen, it reminded me of a low quality RAM preview in After Effects (for those of you who are familiar with After Effects)--which I thought would make sense, since AE offers a way to increase or descrease the quality of immediate playbacks (RAM Previews) depending on what you are testing in the playback and how much available RAM you have. But there is no way to adjust the playback quality in PS CS6--at least not one that I can find. I absoluately need playback to be 100% quality as it was in 5.5, otherwise this feature is completely useless to me.
Also--did they remove the "onion skinning" button from the Timeline window? That was so useful... That is such a useful button for anyone attempting traditional animation in this program--which it was wonderful for in CS5.5.
BTW--my current machine specs if that matters:
Mac Mini, 2009 model 2.26 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo 64 bit NVIDIA GeForce 9400 256MB OSX Lion 4 GB RAM 100+ GB free HD space
gave me a Adobe Extended premium Suite, and I installed it, all 400+ Meg. When I looked at un-installing some of the many included programs (Dreamweaver, etc) a message said that if I uninstalled any, then none would work properly. Photoshop is really all I need.
I have 320G memory, but I'm concerned this huge program might be slowing the system.
I did download the Adobe Photoshop CS6 trial, via the website I did go to the Download Manager. Now I have it installed, but i'm not sure if I have the extended or normal version. How can I check that?
And, if I don't have it.. The download manager does nothing say about the Extended version (trial of it), and at the Adobe website I can't find a way to download it.
I can't seem to import videos to Adobe Photoshop CS5 Extended, all the videos I have on my computer have a wmv format. Every time I launch PSCS5, these are my steps:
file>import>video frames to layers,
but when I click on the folder that I put my videos in, no videos show up in that folder. I have the last version of QuickTime Installed on my pc. I'm using windows vista and my pc is HP.
Does Adobe Photoshop CS4 Extended work on Lion 10.7.4? when I get the "Licensing for this product has stopped working" and I advance to where I'm to click on the License RecoveryLauncher.app it does not appear. A file called License Recovery Launcher does appear with the circle with the line through it.
CS6 Adobe Photoshop Extended (64 bit) installed on Windows 8 will not update. Adobe Application Manager opens with message as shown below. I use Kaspersky Internet Security which I am not very familiar with as yet. I tried to update after turning firewall off without success.
Camera Raw disappeared Mac OS 10.6.8 CS5 Extended v12.0. So has my Microtek Scanner (crashes). I've been told that upgrading to OS 10.6.8 caused corruption to the drivers. But both worked for long time with 10.6.8.
I had Camera Raw but haven't used it for long time. Now it is just not there. I reinstalled it and today, installed the patch. But still no Camera Raw.
I am developing the API to automation assemblies and have run into a bit of a snag. I'm having trouble understanding how the camera upvector can be changed to minipulate the view. I'm attempting to rotate the front view 180 degrees around the z-axis - similar to clicking the rotate arrows on the view cube - and then set that position as the front view.
Here is my
Sub ViewChange() Dim oTG As Inventor.TransientGeometry = _invApp.TransientGeometry Dim oCamera As Inventor.Camera = _invApp.ActiveView.Camera oCamera.ViewOrientationType = ViewOrientationTypeEnum.kFrontViewOrientation
I'm having an issue trying to move the camera view in cs6 extended using a 3d Layer. Here's the idea:
1. Create a 3D Layer extrusion / mesh primitive. 2. I select the current view item in 3D Panel / click outside model. 3. The border frame appears yellow. 4. When I select the Move tool, I can only rotate around the y axis, can't rotate up or down. Can't roll the camera, move or slide either using the other move tool modes. 5. I can adjust the co-ordinates properties for the current view and it works OK. 6. Object /light transforms work OK.
I'm testing on 13.0.1, mac 10.7.4. I had the same problem on another machine on 10.6.8 on v 13.0 last week that fixed itself, but not sure how .
if it's possible to control a html5 video in Edge ?For example, I added a html5 video with the video tag and I want the video to play and stop after 20 seconds. Then, plays some animation on my edge timeline. I suppose the video must be controlled with Javascript ?
Please read the whole post, but if you want to cut to the chase, my question is: for ACR conversions would I be better off with an (Windows) 8-core system and 6gigs of ram, or a 4-core system and 12 gigs of ram? I am a professional photographer who, after upgrading to some equipment that spits out serious file sizes, needs to upgrade his computer system. I shoot almost exclusively RAW and I rely primarily on Adobe Camera Raw to convert my files and open them in photoshop. While photoshop performance is a consideration, my biggest concern is to be able to open ACR images ridiculously quick. Right now, working off 21 megapixel images on my current system, it takes between 10 - 20 seconds to open/convert a single file into photoshop. I'm aiming for a couple of seconds. My current system (please don't laugh ... I know its bad):XP 32-Bitdual-core 2.00GHz3G DDR2 Ram (with 3G switch enabled)5400 rpm Hard DrivesRunning CS4 and ACR 5.3 Future Set Up Considerations:Vista 64-BitProcessor/RAMa) quad-core-Q9600 3.00 GHz with 8 gigs DDR2 (1150MHz)b) i7-920 2.66 GHz with 12 gigs of DDR3 (1600 MHz) - adds about $500 to price - worth it? c) 2 Xeon-quad-core-5530 2.40 GHz with 6gigs DDR3 (1600Mhz) - adds about $1000 to price - worth it?d) something AMD?!?!Hard Drives (7200rpm)2 for images storage (one as an internal backup)1 For operating system, applications, music, etc1 For scratch disk Basically, the question comes down to whether extra cores or extra ram will ultimately make the biggest difference in the ACR performance During my testing on my (sad) currently system, here are my conclusions (let me know what you think):Changing the 3G switch to allow the jump from 2 to 3 gigs of ram usage for applications makes no difference in performanceWhen I am opening up ACR files both cores show 100% usage (will that continue over 4 or 8 cores?)Photoshop in general seems to be more CPU limited in my case than ram limited (most of the time is says 100% efficiency but things still take bloody long From some more experienced users, or users who have quad or octa core system or systems with insane amount of ram, I woudl really appreciate your feedback!
How do I get back to Photoshop CS6 Standard edition after Camera Raw 7.3 update? After installing the Camera Raw update photoshop now runs as the Trial version of Photoshop Extended.
Output sharpening in Adobe Camera Raw (ACR) and Photoshop CS5 I want to do two-pass sharpening - capture and output - with output capture done just before I print. I do the initial (capture) sharpening in the ACR Detail/Sharpening panel, with Amount slider set to, for example, 100. Then, I open the image to PS CS5 as a Smart Object, and use layers and masks for further editting.
My question is, can I go back to ACR for the final (output) sharpening pass? When I re-open the file in ACR, the Sharpening Amount slider is back to zero, but the other three sliders are still at the settings I used at the start of the process, i.e., the capture sharpening. If I again set the Amount slider to a positive value, then again open the image in PS for printing, will my second pass through the ACR Sharpening panel take effect - will it accumulate on top of the initial sharpening?
By the way, the reason I want do output sharpening in ACR rather than, say, PS Unsharp Mask, is so I can use the Masking slider in ACR, which is much easier than the comparable techniques available in PS. I am aware that some say you should not do any masking for the output sharpening. I'd like to though.
How can I open RAW files from my nikon D80 in photoshop CS version 8? At the moment I have to open and edit my RAW files through Nikon View NX and then convert the files to Jpeg, dump them in a folder and then re-open them as Jpegs in photoshop, how I can open them straight into photoshop, I really can't take this cross platform editing..
My camera profiles in the camera calibration section of ACR (for a Nikon D200 and a Nikon Coolpix7000) are not embedded. I am running CS6 and ACR 7.1. How do I get the supported camera profiles to display?
I have been using Adobe Camera Raw (ACR) with my Canon EOS 30D, an 8 MP camera, for a while now. I would make non-destructive changes to the raw file (.CR2) in ACR where the changes would be stored in an adjoining .xmp file. Jpegs of the unedited and edited camera raw files would be created so I have a before and after versions of the images that can be viewed anywhere.
Now I have a Canon EOS 5D Mark III, a 22 MP camera and the raw files are much larger. I’m looking at using camera raw on jpeg files for some for my more casual photo shoots in order to save disk space. From what I have read, I can use ACR on jpeg files and that the changes would be stored in the metadata in the jpeg file. Is there a way for the changes to be stored in an adjoining .xmp file so that the original jpeg file is not modified, much like it is done with the .CR2 files?
I am using Adobe Photoshop CS5 on a Windows 7 machine. All software is up-to-date.
Also, I have found that Adobe’s camera raw handing is different than the raw handling of the photos using Canon’s software (DPP). Is there a way to make ACR closer to what Canon’s software does?
I was trying to install Adobe Camera Raw 6.6 and it gives an error. The Adobe tech gave me a link to a newer version of ps. It installed fine and also acr 6.6 but it wants a serial number and I can't find it....
