Feb 28, 2014So I just transferred my Lightroom catalog to a new computer. But none of my presets were transferred. Do I have to do that seperately? Also I'm having trouble even getting to my presets on my old computer. I can see them through Lightroom but can't seem to find them again out of Lightroom. Lightroom 4. Mac.

Mar 29, 2014The key and only reason I own and use Lightroom is to create and manage my 50,000+ family photos spanning through 3 centuries. (1800s, 1900s, 2000s)

With Lightroom 5 the web galleries I have previously created and uploaded and as well the customer user presets I have created OR the standard templates are now ALL hanging and failing during the "Upload Web Photo Gallary after exporting all the images, etc.
The app does report the folders and files exist on the server so it must be logging in succesfully and parsing files and directories etc?
It then goes off and is looping around "Building Web Photo Gallery" and after about 5 plus minutes it fails with a " an error occured sending the file: connection to the server failed"
Which is probably just because it is broken and then times out because of failure.
I have checked, triple checked, changed passwords and also later uploaded FTP files and etc and actually am now having to EXPORT the whole gallery locally via LR5 and then FTP by hand the whole thing to the website.
EVERYTHING works great except Lightroom 5 is now broken for this task to me. All I did was send money to upgrade and install product and upgrade libraries.......so i can't go back right?

running on a PC windows 7 with 16 meg of ram and 6 core processor, had previously had CS 5 mater edition running fine. cleaned it off the system and now cannot for the life of me get cs6 or cc to work.

Apr 12, 2013If I try and load new 3D materials using the "Load Materials" menu item Photoshop sends me to a web page which no longer allows logins due to the transition to Revel. Since Revel appears to be for user content I can't see why the 3D materials would be there.Where are the additional 3D textures for Photoshop ? I have searched Adobe.com but cant find a mention of them directly.

May 8, 2013When trying to print in Elements 11, after clicking "Print/Page Setup/Presets/Show Presets", the box freezes. Clicking Cancel or OK does not work. I then have to Force Quit Elements to clear it. Apple say that it is a problem with Elements. Using the same procedure in other applications, clicking Cancel or OK does work.

Apr 10, 2013I'm trying to create a timeline wherein the camera rotates in a circle around a 3d Object that is located at the origin of the Ground Plane. I click 3d Camera in the Timeline to create my beginning keyframe, I drag the time slider to the end of the timeline, and I Rotate the camera view around the Z (vertical central) axis of the ground plane. I have the caps lock on so that the ground plane stays perfectly level as I rotate.)
As I am rotating the 3d Camera, the entire scene appears to rotate around the Z axis at the origin of the ground plane, which is what I want the animation to look like, but this is not the scene that plays back. When I play back the scene by clicking the play button or dragging the time slider, it rotates off-axis around some other center of rotation, with my 3d object often rotating out of the scene.

May 20, 2013I am having trouble getting my presets to show up under presets on the left hand side of the screen. They are still in develop presets but there not showing up and Ive tried deleting them and adding them again then closing out of lightroom 4 and going back in but I can not seem to get them to show up again. Oct 9, 2013I own Design and web Premium CS6 and Lightroom 5.2 running with NIK and Canon Printer iPF9100 plugins running just fine on a Win7 machine.
I purchased and installed PhotoShop CC about a month ago/ When I start PhotoShop CC from the exec file the NIK and Canon plugins do not show up. If I am in Lightroom and ask to edit in PhotoShop CC the file opens in PhotoShop CC and I can access both plugins. If I am in Lightroom the NIK plugin is available and works just fine.
I have tried putting the plugins in:

Dec 4, 2008I use Photoshop CS3. All plug-ins used to work before. Now with some of the plug-ins (liquify+vanishing point+artistic for example) the following happens:
- plug-in dialog window opens
- i can make changes and see the preview of them in the plug-in window
- i can apply the plug-in
- then PS displays a dialog saying something like "applying effect.."
- but when that is finished I'm back at my original image without the plug-in effect being applied (nothing shows in history window)
I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling Photoshop but the problem remains. I even tried installing a demo of PS CS4 but have the same problem with that version.
The error appears on the plugins with a more sophisticated user interface, the ones with the basic UI (like gaussian blur etc) still work ok.

Jan 10, 2005I have an old version of Photoshop (3.0) which I've never updated because frankly it still suits my needs.(which are limited). I realized recently that when I switched from Windows 95 to Windows 98 se a few years back I lost some of my filters, like clouds and mezzotint, ripple, lighting and a handful of others. When I go back and fire up the 95 machine they are there. Also I notice they are in the plugin folder but not showing up on the menu. The best investigation I've turned up is that Photoshop(at least on the 98 machine) says it doesn't recognize the file extention?( 8bf files )although the computer lists this as a recognized file.( 8bf )
