I just "upgraded" from Photoshop CS6 to Photoshop CC.

How do I get all my apps, plug ins, actions, automate apps, brushes, etc. from Photoshop CS6 onto/into the proper folders in Photoshop CC so I can use them in CC?

My OS is Mac OSX 10.7.5.
Is there a way to automate certain actions in Photoshop?
My most common task:
- select x by x pixels
- copy merged
- new file > from clipboard
- paste
- save as .gif (confirm the 3 dialog boxes)
I tried to run an Automate batch action (to resize my photos) but it will asked me in the "Jpeg Option" folder for each file, which mean I am not able to go away and let Photoshop carry out the action by itself. It get annoyoed because I have to sit in front of my PC and press enter to each file resized.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am converting tiff files to jpeg using the Automate then Batch Actions. I select my source folder and Destination folder. The program converts and send the jpegs to the Destination folder but it is also sending a copy of every jpeg to my DESKTOP. Nothing in my Destination folder shows the desktop as a destination. I set up a destination file on my e drive and it still sends the photos to the desktop.
I am using CS2 Photoshop.
I am trying to make an Action that will apply a set of various (yet specific) changes to an image, and then apply that Action to an entire folder of images. I have created the action and when run manually it work great, but when I apply it to Automate - Batch, there is a "bug".
Currently, the Action will take the image and set the layer to BG, then it will save the original to a folder. It then will resize the image to a set width maintaining aspect ratio, save that to another folder.
This all works great.
The last portion of the Action reduces the file to yet another width (maintaining aspect ratio), but it then applies a 1px stroke, and applies a dropshadow, at 120 degrees and 100 opacity. When I run the action on an individual image, this part works great, however when I batch this in a folder, all of the images get the dropshadow with a 30 degree shadow. Everything else works fine. The default settings for a shadow are 120 degrees, so I cannot figure out where this 30 Degree setting is coming from.
Any help would be appreciated. I dont know if anyone will be able to read my action, but I will try to attach.

I have been updting upgrading my Photoshop since the CS3 days so there is a lot of files, actions, and stuff that I do not want to loose when I move to my new platform.
I wish to use my personal actions from and plug-ins from my Windows 7 computer to my new Windows 8 computer.I have placed the plug-ins in the proper folder. Needs drivers or something else. I don't know where to find the Personal actions to copy them over.

I am looking at getting a new computer and would like to know if I can just copy one of the CUIX files onto the new system and have everything work just as it does now. I am trying to transfer a standalone copy of autocad 2013 from one machine to another. I have already uninstalled it from the old pc, and when I got to install it on the new pc it asks for registration. When I put in the numbers it tells me that it is not valid.
How can i De-activate it from the old pc if it is already uninstalled?
When I switch between Photoshop 6 and other apps, particularly Chrome, I have to actually click the Photoshop icon, sometimes several times to get the system to focus on PS and show those menus. Clicking the window, which works for every other app, doesn't seem to work here. I'm on Snow Leopard 10.6.8 and using the latest PS6.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm getting the EPIC_APP will not launch problem trying to launch Acrobat, so I try to launch Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Flash, etc., get the License Agreement screen, accept it, it goes away, and nothing more happens (incl. no indication in Task Manager that it has started). I have a working internet connection (obviously, or I wouldn't be able to submit this question), but could it be a firewall issue anyway? If not, what gives? It's a fresh install of Adobe MC CS3 on a Toshiba Sattellite L305-S5933 running 32 bit Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 w/ 3GB of RAM. Please help: I'm trying to use Acrobat to edit my 1040 and, obviously, time is of the essence!
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have recently installed the Adobe CS, and am running OS 10.3.3. I have two USB printers, one epson and one HP, that print fine with all other apps and are in my printer list and so on... But when I go to try to print from Photoshop, in the print dialog window, instead of my default printer being selected, the drop down menu says "No printer selected". When I go to try to select a printer from that drop down menu, my two printers are not there, and instead the only options are "Edit Printers list..." and "check for printer updates..".
I have tried everything I could think of... Like I said the printers are installed and working great in other apps, and the same menu in other applications shows both printers and lets me select them. Any suggestions? Is there a plugin or something that I need to put in a specific Adobe folder? Why don't the Adobe programs see the printers? Here's another weird thing: Adobe Acrobat does see the printers. And that is how I have to print my photoshop docs, save as PDF and then print.
I downloaded a couple of actions from the web to my actions palette and they worked fine, but then I got greedy and downloaded a few more and that’s when things went south. Now none of the actions work - by not working I mean when I mouse over the Play Selection icon at the bottom of the action palette I get that little circle with a line through it. This happens with the PS default actions as well (I also get the circle on the Stop Playing/Recording and Begin Recording icons).
Somewhere in the following is probably what messed things up.
I downloaded actions to my computer in zip files. Copied them over to the actions folder (or somewhere) and unzipped them. I went back to the actions palette and hit “load actions” and loaded them. On the second set of actions that I downloaded I remember thinking “why am I copying and pasting these files - I bet I should cut and paste them, so I did and that may have been the start of the great crumble of 2004. PhotoShop help says: (under Saving and loading actions) “Actions are automatically saved the the Actions Palette folder in PS7.0 Settings folder. If this file is lost or removed, the actions you created are lost”.
I have searched for the settings folder and couldn’t find it, but the actions still show up on the actions palette - they just don’t run.
I’m a little fuzzy on the details on the above steps. In fact, I probably did something different on each download.
one more thing, I reloaded PhotoShop, but still nothing.
When working on large documents, the cursor freezes for 8-10 sec when I switch from PS to another app/finder. It also happens when I switch back to PS. 8-10 sec. of complete freeze out until everything starts working again.
