I have a picture that is rectangle and obviously cannot resize to a square - distorts the picture. I know there is a way to copy the rectangle picture into a square picture frame which allows the picture to be square while not distorting the rectangle size.
But I don't know how to do this. I have watched a video on this but still not clear how to do it.

Jan 2, 2012When I upgraded to Autocad (ACA) 2010 I migrated toolbars, etc. from ACA 2009. I am looking at getting a new computer and would like to know if I can just copy one of the CUIX files onto the new system and have everything work just as it does now. Is this possible, and which of the many CUIX files do I copy? Do I need to also copy the MNU, MNR and MNX files?
I’ve searched the CUIX files but can tell from the dates which are the newest.

Say, for example, I used the magic wand to select a circular shape, and then I wanted another selection of the exact same shape somewhere else in my canvas. How would I copy the first one? I know how to copy the contents of the selection (select move tool, position over selection, hold down ALT, and click and drag), and I know how to move the selection area itself (select the marquee tool, make sure it's on "New selection", position over selection, click and drag), and I know how to save and load a selection (but as soon as I load it, all current selections dissappear), but how do I duplicate the selection area (not the selection contents)?

I am trying to make a selection and an inverse of the selection and put each on a seperate layer to do adjustments seperatly without having to go back and reselect the desired area. It seems to disappear after the new layer is created.

May 14, 2013I have several Lightroom catalogs from over the years, many of the from older versions and many of the catalogs contain develop settings from photos I have on my current catalog.
The thing is I have some picture folders with rates, develop setings and more things from an old catalog that I want to transfer to my new catalog from Lightroom 4.4. I want to transfer just the settings and rates, nothing else, i already have the photos, sometimes with many photos rated and developed.
Is there a way to transfer just the settings and rates of a certain set of photos from one catalog to another one?

Jun 25, 2012I transfer my adjustments from lightroom to photoshop for additional editing. The adjustments show in the new Photoshop file. However, when I make a selection from that file and copy and paste it into a different Ps file, it does not show the adjustments. I even tryed saving the adjusted photoshop file as a jpeg and then opening it up and reselecting what I want.....Copy and paste it.....and the adjustments still don't appear on the different Ps file/photo. How can I keep the adjustments made in lightroom as a selection to copy and paste to a new file?
