View 3 Replies View RelatedOn my website, especially when pictures are side by side, I try to make all the same, i.e. square. To me it looks better. I have a picture that is rectangle and obviously cannot resize to a square - distorts the picture. I know there is a way to copy the rectangle picture into a square picture frame which allows the picture to be square while not distorting the rectangle size.
But I don't know how to do this. I have watched a video on this but still not clear how to do it.
I want to know if you can remove an item from a picture and it's shadow...lets say I have a picture with a vase...can I remove the vase with it's shadow from this picture to be placed in another photo...
View 1 Replies View RelatedHow do you copy a non-block item from one drawing to another drawing. With both drawings open, the two methods I've used are the Edit>Copy in drawing 1 and Edit>Paste in drawing or Right mouse button (drop down menu)> Copy in drawing 1 and Right mouse button> Paste in drawing 2. Sometimes one or both methods work and at other times neither works.
Is there another copy method or am I doing something incorrectly?
Is there a way to copy just one item out of an x-ref? I am coming from MicroStation where the X-Refs acted alot differently. The only thing I miss so far is just being able to copy one item from a x-ref into the active file.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've been using DAZ Studio 4.5 for a little more than three weeks now and I've downloaded GIMP in case I need to do any postwork(not that I know how yet.) So far all I've done with GIMP is rescale some files.
Now I do need to do some postwork. I need to find a way to take a bitmap from a figure in a photograph(a complex multi-colored tattoo) and apply it to a figure in one of my renders. What looks to be the hardest part of the problem is that the skin color of the two figures isn't very similar.
I have seen people change the color of a models' outfit but cannot figure out how to do it.
The shading and gradation (perhaps not the correct terms) stays in the new color. For instance, a swimsuit still has shadows and simple texture from one color to the next. Curtains would have the same light hitting the new color.
Eventually after I copy and paste with the clipboard enough times within one drawing, the ability goes away and I can no longer copy and past one item from one drawing to a separate drawing. I need to use the clipboard function because that is the only way of getting an item from one drawing to another.
I have download a clear clipboard function but it doesn't work. Closing CAD and restarting does not reinstate the function.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI recently upgraded to Mac OS X Mountain Lion and was informed that I needed to uninstall and reinstall Photoshop Elements 6. The Setup application could not be opened, however, because of Javascript errors (according to the error message). I couldn't find an uninstall item for Elements 6 anywhere on my hard drive. (My iMac is a late 2009 model.) How should I proceed?

I am working on a script that performs a series of things on all of the artwork in a document. At one point, it needs to compare the fill color of every item to a sample color. The problem is, the artwork is a collection of compound path items and path items. When I look for pathItems[x]. fillColor, it works fine. When I look for compoundPathItem[x].fillColor, it comes back undefined. So, I've moved to looking at page items, but I seem to be unable to get to the internals on the page items. If I have a compound path item, how would I address its properties from its parent page item? I tried:
pageItem[x].compoundPathItem.pathItems[0].fillColor,
pageItems[x].fillColor, &
pageItems[x].compoundPathItem.fillColor.
I'm creating a collage of photos (mockup, right now). The background on which those photos will be added as layers is at 100 dpi.
When I copy a 300 dpi photo that shows up on my screen at 100%, and paste it on the background (also viewed at 100%) — I would expect the 300 dpi pasted photo to render on the 100 dpi background at a 300% ENLARGEMENT... But it shows up at the same size it was rendered in it's own window... That doesn't make sense to me... Am I suppose to first lower the resolution of the 300 dpi photo to 100 while enlarging it's physical size 3 times?
It would be very handy in determining movement between frames..
