Jun 13, 2012Was working fine last I logged in, now says that plugins are missing namely 'envelope & pathfinder'. Will open file but I can't do anything..?

Illustrator :: V6 Missing Plugins - Won't Open New Files
Dec 21, 2012I was initially getting an error message when attempting to open Illustrator 6 on my Mac (running 10.6.8). An unknown error has occurred (4294967253). Adobe Illustrator will now quit. I read a post where the user was to select shift+option+command right after booting up. When I did that, a dialog box popped up asking if I'd like to participate in submitting feedback to Adobe and asked for my profession, location, industry, etc. It then attempted to open a new file but gave the following error: The document 'Print.ai' contains elements that are managed by plug-ins that are not currently available. You can delete or expand these elements but you cannot manipulate them in other ways. The missing plug-ins are listed below. Stroke Offset Live Effect (StrokeOffset.aip). I can open an existing file, but no tools are available to edit with and I get additional errors regarding missing plug-ins. My Mac has also been running a bit slow lately as well...not sure if the two issues are connected, but I'm willing to try anything to meet an impending deadline. I have plenty of space remaining on my computer, so that can't be it.

Mar 15, 2014I opened a new file...Then I tried to place a jpg and it wouldn't allow me. I started getting some missing plugin errors, tried to relaunch illustrator and I cannot. I get the Missing Required plugins PDF Format.aip error. I also cannot re-install as I don't have back-up disk, I work for a non-profit always on a budget.
The PDF Format.aip is in the packages.

When I click the Plugin manager, LR tells med that the plugins are installed and working, but they do not show up in the export dialog. The actual plugin files are stored in the folder C:Program FilesAdobeAdobe Photoshop Lightroom 4.2, the program folder.

Sep 9, 2012I am missing all the default Plug-ins from Photoshop CS6 from the Creative Cloud. I have uninstalled it. Used the Adobe Cleaner Tool. Done this over and over 4x and the Plug-ins are still missing from the new installation. It is like the Cloud is only re-installing the previous bad version. I also check don't migrate and don't save preferences.

Also not getting the green "intersect" tip when I begin drawing at a corner of the document. I'm using Mac 10.8.2. I have both a laptop and a desktop, and the laptop works fine. It's on the Mac Pro that this problem happens. I checked to make sure all preferences are the same on both machines. I updated Illustrator also.

Some objects that have transparency gradients are also missing. It is the same if I export to RGB or CMYK. Jun 18, 2013Illustrator CS5 and CS6 (and previous versions) came with a set of core fonts, e.g. Myriad Pro, included upon install.
I uninstalled Illustrator CS6 (and all other CS6 products) before installing Illustrator CC, but none of the fonts were included, so in Illustrator I have no MyriadPro (the font appears in the font list, but has an asterisk next to it to indicate a subsitution is being made). Are these fonts no longer included?
Okay - fixed. A restart later and the fonts are there. They must be registered with Windows on restart, which is an odd way of doing it as there's no requirement that the computer be restarted between font installations.

Illustrator :: Crop To Artboard Missing In CS6?
Nov 18, 2013Illustrator CS3 had a feature that was "trim/crop to artboard" but I cannot find it now in CS6. So now when I save my work, it does not confine the save to the artboard but includes all the art on the file, messing up all the map work I have isolated with the artboard. The only thing close now is the "fit to artboard" which is exactly opposite of what I need and had in CS3.

Jul 3, 2013I'm looking for a better alternative to my current vector graphic applications, mostly to create modern web and application UI's.So I downloaded the trial version of Illustrator CC, to see if I should make the jump to Illustrator for vector work.
After using about half a day to learn the applicaiton and do some experimentation, I was going to apply an Inner shadow to some text on a button, to make it look indented, and was like "What the.....where's the Inner Shadow Effect?".I could see the Drop Shadow feature, and there's an Inner Glow feature (can't be offset), but that doesn't solve the problem of making shapes and text look indented.
just browse 'Inner Shadow' on Google, it's such a fundamental feature.Photoshop has it.InDesign has it.Fireworks has it.Even Sketch, the app for Mac has it. And Acorn has it as well.Hell, I can even write it in CSS3:

but when you are used to applying something so fundamental as Inner Shadow, to make your shapes and texts look indented with a single click (and easily adjust it live and experiment), then it's hard to get used to Illustrator.
Illustrator :: Lines Missing From EPS File
Dec 11, 2012I genereate the inital image in AutoCAD, export it as an .eps file then format the image using Illustrator CS5. The files are then placed into an ExCel spreadsheet where the lines will not show up.
When using Illustrator I change the stroke of all lines then drag the artboard edges closer to the object leaving a space around the object. After formatting the very most bottom line of my thumbnails will be missing. I've tried placing the objects at a different reference points in AutoCAD before exporting the file but this has not worked. When running CS3 I never had this problem.
Illustrator :: Rectangle Missing In Save To Web?
Dec 17, 2012I'm using Illustrator CS4 at work and am rather new to it, so I'm feeling my way along. I'm modifying and working with a file created by someone else. I'm trying to save a document of multiple objects to JPG, using Save to Web & Devices. There's a white rectangle in the document that I can't seem to include in the saved file. Other objects are included without problem, both clipping to the artboard and saving the whole document. I've tried grouping the rectangle with similar adjacent objects, and also tried "locking" them. I even tried creating a new rectangle over top of the existing one. No matter what I try, it just won't grab that rectangle along with the rest of the objects. It doesn't seem to be in a separate layer.
