Jan 20, 2014A client really likes a font and wants me to incorporate it into her logo. I installed the font and it's working in Pages and other programs, but not in Adobe CS6 applications (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign). I installed a ttf and an otf version of the font but neither work. I installed & validated the font with Font Book. I've tried a lot of the fixes I've seen on these forums but nothing's worked. I've restarted my computer a few times too.

Jan 22, 2014i just subscribed to CC as a student, and i cant get photoshop or illustrator to open. the splash screen loads and goes through, and you can see illustrator and photoshop both open, but close a few seconds later with no prompts or errors. i browsed around and saw something about verdana font, but i have it installed.
Edit: i am running windows 8.1
Illustrator Scripting :: ExtendScript Applications Menu Empty?
Jun 20, 2012I had to reinstall Acrobat Pro X today because combining pdfs was sticking at "checking security".
After the re-install everything went fine with that, but now ExtendScript shows only itself in the application target menu.
(Previously had all of CS6 and CS5 apps in there)
I tried to reinstall CS6 illustrator to see if that added it, got a few install errors, but mainly about not being able to delete files. No luck in restoring the app menu.
If I set
#target illustrator
I get a "illustrator undefined" error, and no script execution. in the middle of a major project which includes scripts in illustrator and combining pdfs in acrobat.
Illustrator :: Adobe CS3 Not Displaying Full UI / When Used Via Microsoft Remote Applications
Oct 10, 2012I've got an issue with Adobe CS3 illustrator not displaying the full UI when used via Microsoft Remote Applications (RDS Windows Server 2008 R2). When connect to the server via a normal RDP interface the connection UI is displayed correctly. The Other Adobe CS3 MC application work fine in either connection method.
I have logged a call with MS and we have tried a varierty of RDS Fixes however we do seem pointing to a illustrator issue over a RDS issue.
Illustrator :: Change Shortcut Layout And Use German Layout
Oct 26, 2013I use illustrator for several things.So i really need to use shortcut's.But there is one big problem : I have the english version of illustrator and i have a German keyboard layout.An example :
To blank a shape u use '/' ( English Version )
To blank a shape u use '#' (German Version )
I can't use '/' cause i have to press shift+/ ... I dont know its not working.Can i change the "Shortcut-Layout" and use the German layout ?

Jul 25, 2013I need to create a section of a 3d model. Unfortuntaly the layout tab I need is missing. Normally if somthing is missing I type 'CUI' and then click Ribbon>Tabs> select the one I want and drag it to 'Workspaces Contents' - 'Ribbon Tabs'
The ribbon tab for layout is missing from the cui. See attached images.

I am attempting to use the new Base View feature called Offset Section.
The 3D, solid, model has been created. I click on the Layout tab and there are only to panels showing: Layout and Layout Viewports. Four seem to have gone missing: Create View, Modify View, Update and Styles & Standards.
I have not made any changes to the CUI nor have I migrated settings from 2012.

If I print a file in Portrait It will center and fit to page perfectly.(Within The Dashed Lines)The layout page shows the print inside the dashed lines of the printing area as it should.
I have tried moving the layout above the dashed line, then the top that shows outside the lines won't print.I have tried every hing I can think of, without success.
AutoCAD Map 3D :: Way To Get Old ARX Applications To Run?
Mar 10, 2011I am trying to run 3DAAP 5.0 (URL....), which is an airport airspace analysis tool developed by the FAA (available without charge, not trying to undercut the MotherShip here) for Map 3D 2005. To no surprise it won't run on my Map 3D 2011. Is there a way to upload the ARX to be able to run on my current version? I would assume that the libraries and such, if an ARX application uses them, need updating. I am not a coding expert, but have muddled my way through updating VBA's in the past to get them to run on newer versions. The developer no longer supports it; it was a one-time financing by the FAA to get the ap developed, as far as I know.

Jul 24, 2013 it crashes all the time. Currently, my issue is on my laptop. I have deadlines and it crashes at least 5-10 times per hour. Nearly every time I try to "save as" it will crash. This isn't specific to one file. The same crash happens when I try to open new files many times.
This also isn't just in Photoshop. It happens in In-Design, Illustrator, and Premiere as well. I'm sure if I was working on projects in the other CC programs, the same would happen. WHAT HAS CHANGED TO CAUSE THIS? There is never an error message.
What can I do to get this fixed?

Dec 26, 2012The crashing started with the Retina update for Photoshop and Illustrator. At first the occasional crash happend, but now it's doing it litreally every 2 minutes! I don't think its a problem with my system since the issue started as soon as I got the Retina update and I've had no issues prior. I have the 2.3GHz Intel Core i7, 8GB 1600MHz RAM, Retina Macbook Pro with OS X version 10.8.2. I'm not sure if all of the Adobe applications are affected, but I know Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign are.

May 4, 2008Anything edited in photoshop appears different when viewed in another application. For example, I edit a photo in CS3, and then view it in Firefox - it is muted, the colors are drab examples of the bright hues displayed in Photoshop. If I bring anything done in photoshop into The Gimp, Polyview, or anything else I can think of, they all look identical in those other apps, they only appear different when compared against what an image looks like in Photoshop. I first noticed when uploading an image to Flickr, it looked great in Photoshop, and dramatically drab when uploaded. I then started doing some investigative work and discovered the system wide behavior. I'm a little stumped. Similarly, anything created in Gimp brought into CS3 looks different, it appears darker in CS3.

I have a Brother MFC-J835DW inkjet printer with an SD slot to read files to print. It will NOT read any JPG or PNG file created with Gimp 2.8.x. I have 2.8.10 on a Win7 desktop and 2.8.4 on a Linux machine. My Win7 laptop has 2.6.11 and those files work fine. The win7 desktop had 2.6.11 before the (up?)grade and those files were fine too. The Linux machine had 2.6.x at one time and those files also worked fine.

Jan 30, 2013I've been using PSE 10 for a while on my OX S Mac. Processor 2.4 GHz intel core 2 duo, Memory 2 GB 1067 MHz DDR3, software 10.8.2.
It was not slow before but know it freezes up so much that it becomes nearly inoperable. I checked my memory and I have plenty of space. I shut down all the other applications. I boosted up the amount of RAM PSE can use. I decreased the amount of undo states PSE can keep. But even with all that, it still was slow. So I uninstalled it and reinstalled it, and that didn't fix the problem either.

Is there a way to open the Camera RAW files in CS5 right from LR3?Sometimes I want to manipulate the original RAW file in CS5 without having LR3 convert it to a PSD or TIFF format first.
Drag-and-drop from LR3 to another application does not work. I have to use the export option which converts the RAW file before handing it off.
This is not convenient when I want to use LR as a slide box or sorter for other applications. This would also solve the CS5 issue if I could just drag the RAW file and drop it on the CS5 icon.

Feb 12, 2013I have created a layout in Illustrator (CS6) and seperated the individual images I require into named layers. My intention is to export as a Photoshop file (keeping all the layers), then using 'Script' in Photoshop to 'Export layers to files..', so I can get automatically save all the elements in the layout as individual transparent png.
When I export the files as Photoshop a warning comings up saying that 'some layer have been merged' and then when I open this file in Photoshop, all but a couple of text layers have been merged into 1 layer. I think it's something to do with the transparencies set in Illustrator but don't know how to resove this.
If it can't be resolve in the method I am using at present, my only other option is to switch off all but 1 layer in Illustrator and export this layer as a png, but as I have many elements to the layout (including on and off states) and this is just one layout page of many, this manual way of export the files will take me forever!
I can stop these layers from merger into one layer when exported to Photoshop, then any way I can automatic export the layers I have set up in Illustrator, as transparent pngs in a simular way I can in Photoshop.
