I have just created a Total Volume Table and everything is perfect in Model, but when y change to layout, the table is miising. I can barely see the title of the table zooming, but anything else. The tables are still there, but so tiny and with just the title, there is no data!

Surface 3 is the surface that has the existing actual survey points . Do I have to pick another surface : the other two are the surfaces I created in the Corridor as surface boundaries , Top and Datum
I oftenly do conception for parkings and always need to have the calculated rentention of water volume in the pipe network.is there a way to have that information with Civil 3d ?

View 3 Replies View Related about a Volume Table style, where I have correctly showing in Model Space and is "Split" in the Table Properties. This is a "Total Volume Table" and is Dynamic.
Just Fine in Model Space... yet is showing within a Viewport (typ. plan sheet) that each Split is simply Staked ontop of each other ?
Thought I (we) came across this a few years ago... yet no issues latetly till now, and also mainly first time I've likely split the Table in R2012 (currently used).

I want to know if it is possible to calculate the water displacement volume of an assembly if it were immersed in water.
In other words, I want to create a file in which ALL hollow spaces inside structural members, valves, pipework etc are assumed to be solid so that when that assembly is dropped in water, the total volume of water being displaced will be equal to the iProperty value for volume. I know its possible to hole patch when creating a shrinkwrap, but this is only effective for 'circular' hollow spaces and does not fill obscure or rectangular shaped empty volumes.

I have a corridor with an associated sample line group, and I have produced some material volume tables to give me quantities for my corridor structures and cut/fill volumes. When I look at the material volume tables they are at a seemingly arbitrary stationing. The sample line group which the material volume tables are (supposedly) based on are on alignment L1000 and they run from station 1133+73 to station 1154+00 every 10 meters. The material volume tables show volumes broken down by stations starting at station 3719+58.66 and runs through to station 3786+08.92. It is sampling at a seemingly arbitrary frequency, there is absolutely no alignment in my drawing that has stations remotely resembling those numbers, and there is definitely no sample line group it could be using that samples an alignment or stationing anything like that shown in the materials volume tables. in the paper space it seems that i cannot control the insertion scale?? i set specific letter height that works fine at the model but in paper every time i create a table I see different size depending on the zoom I have.

View 9 Replies View RelatedIn our company, we put Excel tables in our drawings. The reason we've chosen for Excel-tables is that we can adjust the layout of the table quite easily. These tables consist of grouped cells in a particular company-specific layout. We select the range of the desired cells, copy and paste them in our AutoCAD drawing. This drawing is sent to our customers. The disadvantage of this method is, that when our customers (who use CAD-software of other brands) open the dwg, they don't see the table, but some kind of picture of the table.
Is there a way to 'explode' the excel-table, but keep the specific layout of the table? For attributes in blocks there's the 'Explode Attributes'-command in the Express-tools, but is there something similar for Excel-tables?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm working with TIN surfaces, doing cut/fill comparisons for a surface mine.
My volume surface statistics show a cut volume of 5167.22 cy and fill volume of 8456.18 cy.
The sample line group volume report show cumulative cut of 5527.67 cy and fill of 8465.56 cy.
What could be some causes of this disparity. All reference surfaces are built from points and use a non-destructive boundary.
I've read a few threads on this way back but cannot locate them. I have two surfaces and create a volume surface and it reported the volume as 493 cy. I then ran some sample lines at 25 foot interval and the total volume is reported as 964 cy.

Well, I got the program to work and had things linked in and was able to route a storm through the network. But when I routed the storms, I had to model double the storage that i expected.
So I went back to the program I'm familiar with - Pondpack by Benltey - and designed the same system I routed in SSA in that program - and got the storage volume that I would expect for a site of this size - about 2 acres.
Is there possibly a setting that I'm missing that makes my outlet structures route slower or less than they should? Or is there some other reason that a system would give this kind of inflated need for storage?
I have an issue with using Bounded Volume or Adding a Boundary to Volume Surface things so bad... = incorrect volumes.. sometimes extremely incorrect.. I understand that the surface rectangle when a boundary is added but this could be horrible if not checked.

I want to create tables in the drawing where the points are and then plot them from a drawing they're Xrefed in to. The tables are too small but zooming in doesn't make them any bigger because the scale of the viewport changes and they adjust.
