Photoshop Elements :: 11 Crashes When Loading Catalogs
Oct 31, 2012I am having PSE 11 "stop working " when launched. Seems to be related to corrupt catalogs. If I delete the catalog, then I am able to open up the Organizer. However, when I build a new catalog, it oftens crashes. I have disabled all the analyzer functions but keeps recurring. I have been successful in building a small catalog consisting of approximately 400 JPGs. However, larger catalogs aren't successful.

Apr 9, 2006I tried loading Adobe Photoshop/Imageready. During the loading, once it gets to "loading color preferences" it shuts itself down. I have tried reinstalling, restoring, rebooting, repeating. And I can't seem to fix the problem. Today I decided to search the adobe site for troubleshooting guides. All I could find, told me to find and remove my preferences file. So i searched, and searched. I can't find it anywhere. I removed Adobe and everything Adobe from my computer, and tried again to reinstall. During the loading I recieved this dialog box.

May 23, 2009I just bought Photoshop CS4 upgrade (have CS2) and 1) it now crashes when I try to load any image, 2) it says my first seriel number from CS2 is invalid and 3) it shows I have CS3 Extended. What is the EASIEST and QUICKEST way to get a refund on this since I do not feel like tackling three major issues at once! I just want to go back to CS2 and refund my 185 bucks! By the way, I did a CS4 trial a month ago and had the same crashing issue when trying to load an image as I am now.

Dec 2, 2012I've been using Adobe products for over a decade and have never seen an issue like this. It just won't load. I've uninstalled, used the clean tool & reinstalled - rebooting prior to each step - and I can't get photoshop to load past the 'loading brushes...' message in the opening loading graphic. Prior to the issue I was playing with extendscript and loading them into PS, but I've since deleted all scripts and, as mentioned, wiped the entire suite.

Jun 30, 2012I successfully installed CorelDraw X6 but I am unable to open it. It starts to load and then it crashes. At first I thought it was a bad install, so I uninstalled and reinstalled and it still won't open. Norton AV was turned off during both installs. I have searched and see that quite a few users have the same problem but I haven't found a cause or solution. I'm using Windows 7 64 bit, Intel i7, 16 GB ram.

Dec 27, 2013 I have the entire subscription of  'Corel 6X'. I have been using it for a few months with no problems, even after I did the 8.1 update. Now all programs will load and run except for 'Draw 6X', it starts to load and then it will start to 'load environment' and then crash. As I said above, every other part of the suite open and run fine.
 I can give you no information about updates or version as it won't load so I could check for updates. I searched for other post, and it returned no other similar problems listed for 'Draw 6X'. If I get no answers I'll just un/re install that program itself and see if that fixes things.
I am on a Dell PC with plenty of everything running Win 8.1 64 bit and running the online yearly subscription of 'CorelDraw 6X' 64 bit version that was up to date and working fine on 8.1 fine for more than a month. Now the 'splash' screen shows and gets to 'loading environment' and then the quaint Win window comes out 'There is a problem and windows has to close this program'.

AutoCAD 2010 :: 2012 Crashes Loading DWT File?
Jun 24, 2012why our copies of AutoCAD MEP 2012 seem to hang when loading the default dwt files? On the splash screen it details all the files being loaded and when it gets to the dwt file it just hangs at 0%. In the windows task manager, acad.exe stops using memory (around 90megs) and the cpu stops too. It's get's really frustrating, especially as it only seems to affect our new Dell Optiplex's and a couple of our old Dell Precisions. Some of them work first time every time, no probs. All PC's are Windows 7 Pro 64bit and running the latest service packs for AutoCAD.

AutoCAD Inventor :: Crashes When Loading Any File Or Closing Welcome Center?
Jan 12, 2013After downloading the Autodesk Inventor 2013, I was forced to download the hotfix. I completed the download, and started up Inventor. My force closed crash report directed me to the most updated update, which I then installed to no avail. I've sent an additional crash report, but I've yet to recieve any feedback. When I go to either load the .ipt blank file, or even close the welcome center tab (to be able to access the tools to troubleshoot) It shuts down.

Photoshop :: PS & Crashes On Loading At "sorting Fonts"
Jul 7, 2003I have a large number of images in my Dell 8250 (>12,000) Lately when I try to start PS7 it crashes when it hits "Sorting fonts" Am also having trouble with Outlook Express crashing when I try to attach image file to an e-mail. Have uninstalled and reinstalled PS7 four times to no avail. Any suggestions appreciated. 512mb memory. 120gig Hard disc.

Photoshop Elements :: Loading Patterns From PAT File?
Dec 7, 2013I'm trying to create my own set of Patterns in a .pat file.It doesn't work as the instructions say.But with an immense amount of effort, going about it in a roundabout way to get past security nonsense and locked files that weren't locked, I managed to create a .pat file with my Patterns in the proper folder. I couldn't do this directly. Instead I added my Patterns to an existing .pat file with the idea of later deleting those that aren't mine and restoring the original .pat file to its original state.However, I can't load my .pat file or any other .pat file. That is, the Load function doesn't work, so I can't have my own Patterns in a .pat file that I can access.I've tried to load the ,.pat file using the Preset Manager, using Layer > New Fill Layer > Pattern, and using the Paint Bucket tool, but the selected .pat file doesn't get added to the list of .pat files that can be used. What is the Magic Word to get a .pat file to Load?

In organiser if I select Preferences from the Edit menu or by pressing Ctrl-K a small window comes up saying loading, but the preferences window never shows. Windows Task Manager shows that Elements is still running and the processor load is about 15-25% and so it would seem it is trying to do something. So far I've left the machine for over an hour and the loading window never goes. The only way to close Elements is to use End Task in Windows Task Manager.

I've tried deleting the preferences file in /Users/User name/roaming/Adobe/Elements Organiser/9.0/Organiser/. I've also tried uninstalling, deleting all of the Adobe Elements files within the roaming profile and reinstalling. Neither of which has worked. Apart from this Elements works OK and I can access the Preferences in the Elements Edit programme.

I have just installed the latest update and this made no difference.
I could definitely access the preferences window when the software was first installed. The only thing I can think of that has changed (apart from the usual Windows updates) was the installation of a trial copy of Lightroom 3, which I've now uninstalled.

1. How do I get Photoshop to look at my hard drive for photos?
a. How do I use the online storage as a backup of, say, photo albums?
2. How do I get Elements to stop loading ALL 7500 photos every time I open it?

I'm using DSL, so you can imagine how incredibly SLOW EVERYTHING is in Elements.

I'm still trying to figure out how to organize everything. I stopped using it for a few months becuase I got so frustrated. But now I've scanned in more photos (75) and I have to finish my mom's scrapbook. I've read parts of Elements for Dummies, but I still don't get it.

May 28, 2013There seem to be a problem with PSE10 and PSE11 on my computer when loading image files digitized on my film scanner. When loaded into the editor the image file immediate takes today’s date and time, and thus changes place on the timeline. However, sometimes the original image file date remains intact, for no obvious reason. I find this very frustrating.

My setup is an HP computer running Windows7 Ultimate 64 bit, with i7 processor and 12GB memory. My film scanner is a Minolta Dimage Elite II working with a Windows XP-based computer, and data are transferred using memory stick.
It might be mentioned that I have made tests with a fixed set of image files on several computers running WindowsXP 32 bit, and several versions of PSE , including PSE10, without seeing this problem.
