I am having PSE 11 "stop working " when launched. Seems to be related to corrupt catalogs. If I delete the catalog, then I am able to open up the Organizer. However, when I build a new catalog, it oftens crashes. I have disabled all the analyzer functions but keeps recurring. I have been successful in building a small catalog consisting of approximately 400 JPGs. However, larger catalogs aren't successful.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI tried loading Adobe Photoshop/Imageready. During the loading, once it gets to "loading color preferences" it shuts itself down. I have tried reinstalling, restoring, rebooting, repeating. And I can't seem to fix the problem. Today I decided to search the adobe site for troubleshooting guides. All I could find, told me to find and remove my preferences file. So i searched, and searched. I can't find it anywhere. I removed Adobe and everything Adobe from my computer, and tried again to reinstall. During the loading I recieved this dialog box.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI just bought Photoshop CS4 upgrade (have CS2) and 1) it now crashes when I try to load any image, 2) it says my first seriel number from CS2 is invalid and 3) it shows I have CS3 Extended. What is the EASIEST and QUICKEST way to get a refund on this since I do not feel like tackling three major issues at once! I just want to go back to CS2 and refund my 185 bucks! By the way, I did a CS4 trial a month ago and had the same crashing issue when trying to load an image as I am now.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have images that I export as a catalog from my notebook and external drive to my desktop . Did this all the time before the release candidate 4.1 without a hint of problems. With 4.1, it crashes 90% of the time....average export/import of a catalog I am running is about 3000 images. What is particularly wierd is that it crashes on multiples of 500. Normally first crash is at 500, the next at 1000 or 1500 and so forth.Â

I've uninstalled, used the clean tool & reinstalled - rebooting prior to each step - and I can't get photoshop to load past the 'loading brushes...' message in the opening loading graphic. Prior to the issue I was playing with extendscript and loading them into PS, but I've since deleted all scripts and, as mentioned, wiped the entire suite.

When I load a gile it crashes. I've only tried loading JPG's. I have also uninstalled and re-installed it.

At first I thought it was a bad install, so I uninstalled and reinstalled and it still won't open. Norton AV was turned off during both installs. I have searched and see that quite a few users have the same problem but I haven't found a cause or solution. I'm using Windows 7 64 bit, Intel i7, 16 GB ram.
View 13 Replies View Related I have the entire subscription of  'Corel 6X'. I have been using it for a few months with no problems, even after I did the 8.1 update. Now all programs will load and run except for 'Draw 6X', it starts to load and then it will start to 'load environment' and then crash. As I said above, every other part of the suite open and run fine.
 I can give you no information about updates or version as it won't load so I could check for updates. I searched for other post, and it returned no other similar problems listed for 'Draw 6X'. If I get no answers I'll just un/re install that program itself and see if that fixes things.
I am on a Dell PC with plenty of everything running Win 8.1 64 bit and running the online yearly subscription of 'CorelDraw 6X' 64 bit version that was up to date and working fine on 8.1 fine for more than a month. Now the 'splash' screen shows and gets to 'loading environment' and then the quaint Win window comes out 'There is a problem and windows has to close this program'.

why our copies of AutoCAD MEP 2012 seem to hang when loading the default dwt files? On the splash screen it details all the files being loaded and when it gets to the dwt file it just hangs at 0%. In the windows task manager, acad.exe stops using memory (around 90megs) and the cpu stops too. It's get's really frustrating, especially as it only seems to affect our new Dell Optiplex's and a couple of our old Dell Precisions. Some of them work first time every time, no probs. All PC's are Windows 7 Pro 64bit and running the latest service packs for AutoCAD.

After downloading the Autodesk Inventor 2013, I was forced to download the hotfix. I completed the download, and started up Inventor. My force closed crash report directed me to the most updated update, which I then installed to no avail. I've sent an additional crash report, but I've yet to recieve any feedback. When I go to either load the .ipt blank file, or even close the welcome center tab (to be able to access the tools to troubleshoot) It shuts down.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just downloaded and installed the trial versions of PSE 11 (Photoshop & Premier). I have been running PSE 10. I created several catalogs in PSE 10. When I go into the catalog management menu in PSE 11, none of the catalogs are listed. If I perform a restore, I have to grab the backup files. When I do that, there are no tages appearing.

I would expect that PSE 11 should know where previous catalogs have been placed with the previous version and automatically have them show up in the catalog management/selection screen.
I have version 5.0 and version 9.0. I would like to merge 5 and 9 together and use in version 11.0.

I have 2 issues with Organizer, but I guess both might be linked:

1) I am not able to create more than one catalog. Or let's say I can, but no way I can select them afterwards. Only the last created one gets opened for imports. If I create a new catalogue, I cannot re-open the old one. It is not even listed as being available despite it is well present on the disk (I checked). Since the available catalogs are not present, no way I can try to use 'optimization' ot 'repair' features.

I have 2 Catalogs. There is nothing on my Organizer screen to allow me to switch between them.No menu bar anywhere--Menu bar used to be at the top of the screen.

Each catalog currently resides in its own folder in the default location on C drive, and each catalog file is named "catalog.pse10db". It is curious that each file is identically named; I didn't do that, PSE did.

I want to move the photo catalog and video catalog to the internal "D" drive so that when I backup the D drive, the catalogs and media files are all backed up together.Â

How do I move my catalogs from the default location to a different location? I have read the "Backup and Restore Catalogs to New computer" info and think it may apply here, but I want to be sure before I try anything.
In ##backed up and restoring a PSE6 catalogue from an XP based PC to my Vista based laptop I chose the Restore to New Location / Maintain Existing Folder Structure option and both the catalogue files and the picture files were successfully created in my main Pictures folder. The new catalogue was recognised in PSE6 and all files and thumbnails seemed to be connected. However, in retaining the original folder structure I had inadvertently created a lot of unwanted subfolders from the old XP address and the cataloguing info was not in the default /Program Data location where my other catalogues reside. I therefore decided to first move the cataloguing files, and tried to use the Catalogue / Move command for the purpose, thinking, erroneously as it turned out, that this would move only the cataloguing files, and I could then eliminate the unwanted subfolders in my picture file structure by a subsequent drag and drop approach in PSE6.

Catalogue / Move process as to a destination folder for the move, as it never asked, but it seems as though both cataloguing and picture files were moved by the command to the Vista default /Program Data location. I'm not sure whether I asked to make the catalogue available to all users or just myself when asked,but think it was probably the latter. The move resulted in all of the thumbnails in the catalogue becoming disconnected from the picture files, and I then carried out a Reconnect All process which has worked for all but a handful of files.

The problem is that whilst I can see the picture folders I've moved in the Folder View within PS6, and most seem connected to the catalogue thumbnails, I cannot find them, or indeed the /Program Data folder that they sirt inside, by searching outside of PS6. It is as if they don't exist, or are hidden from Windows Explorer. All of the old picture folders have also disappeared when I look at the Folders View within PS6, except for those that contained the few picture files that are now disconnected (and these are greyed out). I could try to drag and drop the new folders back to Pictures within PS6, or try to delete the catalogue and files entirely, and begin the restore process again.
I migrated from PSE8 to PSE11 with 4 catalogs. PSE 11 works okay with 3 catalogs while crashing with the 4th one.

Symptoms:
- Whe starting Organizer with the catalog it starts indexing of person-data. This stops at 0%. PSE does not respond any more (kept it for 3 hours)Â and needs to be terminated via Task Manager.
- When starting Organizer with Shift pressed, I can repair and optimize the catalog. When indexing similarity data (German: "Visuelle Ähnlichkeitsdaten erneut indizieren"), Organizer crashes after 100% - crash means: Organizer disapears from desktop and tasklist.

I also tried to repair and optimize the catalog in PSE8 beforehand. This works fine.
I'm a layman in using PSE (version 8). I've arranged all my photos in sevaral catalogs and I've build several albums. Now I have to move over all this to a new PC, also running a newer version of PSE (10 or 11). On that PC the main folder in which al my pictures reside will probably be on a different drive.
