Photoshop :: Crashes During Loading
Apr 9, 2006I tried loading Adobe Photoshop/Imageready. During the loading, once it gets to "loading color preferences" it shuts itself down. I have tried reinstalling, restoring, rebooting, repeating. And I can't seem to fix the problem. Today I decided to search the adobe site for troubleshooting guides. All I could find, told me to find and remove my preferences file. So i searched, and searched. I can't find it anywhere. I removed Adobe and everything Adobe from my computer, and tried again to reinstall. During the loading I recieved this dialog box.

May 23, 2009I just bought Photoshop CS4 upgrade (have CS2) and 1) it now crashes when I try to load any image, 2) it says my first seriel number from CS2 is invalid and 3) it shows I have CS3 Extended. What is the EASIEST and QUICKEST way to get a refund on this since I do not feel like tackling three major issues at once! I just want to go back to CS2 and refund my 185 bucks! By the way, I did a CS4 trial a month ago and had the same crashing issue when trying to load an image as I am now.

Dec 2, 2012I've been using Adobe products for over a decade and have never seen an issue like this. It just won't load. I've uninstalled, used the clean tool & reinstalled - rebooting prior to each step - and I can't get photoshop to load past the 'loading brushes...' message in the opening loading graphic. Prior to the issue I was playing with extendscript and loading them into PS, but I've since deleted all scripts and, as mentioned, wiped the entire suite.

Photoshop Elements :: 11 Crashes When Loading Catalogs
Oct 31, 2012I am having PSE 11 "stop working " when launched. Seems to be related to corrupt catalogs. If I delete the catalog, then I am able to open up the Organizer. However, when I build a new catalog, it oftens crashes. I have disabled all the analyzer functions but keeps recurring. I have been successful in building a small catalog consisting of approximately 400 JPGs. However, larger catalogs aren't successful.

Jun 30, 2012I successfully installed CorelDraw X6 but I am unable to open it. It starts to load and then it crashes. At first I thought it was a bad install, so I uninstalled and reinstalled and it still won't open. Norton AV was turned off during both installs. I have searched and see that quite a few users have the same problem but I haven't found a cause or solution. Dec 27, 2013 I have the entire subscription of  'Corel 6X'. I have been using it for a few months with no problems, even after I did the 8.1 update. Now all programs will load and run except for 'Draw 6X', it starts to load and then it will start to 'load environment' and then crash. As I said above, every other part of the suite open and run fine.
 I can give you no information about updates or version as it won't load so I could check for updates. I searched for other post, and it returned no other similar problems listed for 'Draw 6X'. If I get no answers I'll just un/re install that program itself and see if that fixes things.
I am on a Dell PC with plenty of everything running Win 8.1 64 bit and running the online yearly subscription of 'CorelDraw 6X' 64 bit version that was up to date and working fine on 8.1 fine for more than a month. Now the 'splash' screen shows and gets to 'loading environment' and then the quaint Win window comes out 'There is a problem and windows has to close this program'.

AutoCAD 2010 :: 2012 Crashes Loading DWT File?
Jun 24, 2012why our copies of AutoCAD MEP 2012 seem to hang when loading the default dwt files? On the splash screen it details all the files being loaded and when it gets to the dwt file it just hangs at 0%. In the windows task manager, acad.exe stops using memory (around 90megs) and the cpu stops too. It's get's really frustrating, especially as it only seems to affect our new Dell Optiplex's and a couple of our old Dell Precisions. Some of them work first time every time, no probs. All PC's are Windows 7 Pro 64bit and running the latest service packs for AutoCAD.

Jan 12, 2013After downloading the Autodesk Inventor 2013, I was forced to download the hotfix. I completed the download, and started up Inventor. My force closed crash report directed me to the most updated update, which I then installed to no avail. I've sent an additional crash report, but I've yet to recieve any feedback. When I go to either load the .ipt blank file, or even close the welcome center tab (to be able to access the tools to troubleshoot) It shuts down.

Photoshop :: Uninstall And Reinstall Program / Adobe Application Manager Freezes / Crashes
May 16, 2013Whenever I go to open up Adobe Photoshop (64bit or otherwise) it will load up for a second then crash the next. It doesn't give me error reason why only says it has stopped working and it can't detect a problem so it closes. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall the program but the Adobe Application Manager is also acting weird. When it is opened it freezes and soon crashes saying there is a "Download Error".

Adobe Illustrator was working fine on my MacBook Pro. That is in the shop being fixed, meanwhile I have a loaner computer which is what the specs are above. Jan 2, 2005i just upgraded from 7 to CS...looks good and would like to keep using it. Only problem is whenever i try to open my .psd files created in 7, i'm giving the message:
"Could not complete your request because the layer is not a valid text layer"
Is there anyway to overcome this, as i need to access all of last years work.
I only changed to CS as when 7 finished loading the fonts in the startup screen, it would jump back to windows and close PS?

32 bit Windows Vista Home Premium.

It takes 20 Seconds+ to open a jpg or to create a new file even 50x50 pixels. Loading the actual program is very quick though.
I have a network printer, but I set Microsoft XPS Document Writer as my default.(Its a local printer)
I Run PS CS3 as admin and with compatability for xp sp2.

Jan 26, 2009Photoshop C3 has been loading even the smallest of photo files very slowly -- about 10-15 seconds for one.
it might be a networked printer, but the printer on this computer is NOT networked.
I'm running Windows XP, latest update, with 3 gig of RAM. And we have deleted and reloaded the Photoshop program and updated it to make sure it's not a file goober in the program.

Feb 29, 2012the Photoshop CS5.1 that I have installed on my Windows 7 64b has stopped working. It still works on my other computer though. It starts up just fine, but when I go to Open a PSD file (which I have edited here before) nothing happens -- absolutely nothing! When I try to create a new file the same nothing happens. I sure hope I don't have to reinstall or something. I don't think I've made any updates to Photoshop, it just stopped working this week for no apparent reason that I can think of. I also went back and tried my CS5 version and the same thing happens.
