just upgraded from CS5 to CS6 (originally had CS3) now when trying to load images which were loaded in 2002 when using CS3 I get an error message 'windows cannot find C:Program files(x86)Adobe PhotoshopCS3Photoshop.exe Make sure you typed the name correctly then try again' I assume that there is an association with a file that no longer exists how can I change this?
View 7 RepliesWin 7 system. Fresh installation of CS6 from DVD. I did not install the beta previously. Photoshop CS6 64-bit loads and ACR imports images but Bridge in CS6 does not seem to load. I get the message "Waiting for Bridge CS6 ..." but nothing happens. I do still have CS5 installed but since CS5 works, I do not want to uninstall that to take a chance on CS6.

View 2 Replies View RelatedCS6 Bridge, text in the Folder window freezes following loading of an image from Bridge into PhotosShop CS6. Bridge is render useless. Closing Photoshop frees up Bridge. Bridge does not refresh the type in the folders window and occassionaly leaves partial tiles of images in the content window. This occures esch time an image is loaded from Bridge into Photoshop.

i just upgraded from 7 to CS...looks good and would like to keep using it. Only problem is whenever i try to open my .psd files created in 7, i'm giving the message:
"Could not complete your request because the layer is not a valid text layer"
Is there anyway to overcome this, as i need to access all of last years work.
I only changed to CS as when 7 finished loading the fonts in the startup screen, it would jump back to windows and close PS?
Just got PSE 12, I have added mutliple brushes without difficulty. But I can not get the ASL files I want to add to show up. I have loaded them into the correct folder in presets but they are not showing when I open 12.

It takes 20 Seconds+ to open a jpg or to create a new file even 50x50 pixels. Loading the actual program is very quick though.
I have a network printer, but I set Microsoft XPS Document Writer as my default.(Its a local printer)
I Run PS CS3 as admin and with compatability for xp sp2.
Photoshop C3 has been loading even the smallest of photo files very slowly -- about 10-15 seconds for one.
it might be a networked printer, but the printer on this computer is NOT networked.
I'm running Windows XP, latest update, with 3 gig of RAM. And we have deleted and reloaded the Photoshop program and updated it to make sure it's not a file goober in the program.
the Photoshop CS5.1 that I have installed on my Windows 7 64b has stopped working. It still works on my other computer though. It starts up just fine, but when I go to Open a PSD file (which I have edited here before) nothing happens -- absolutely nothing! When I try to create a new file the same nothing happens. I sure hope I don't have to reinstall or something. I don't think I've made any updates to Photoshop, it just stopped working this week for no apparent reason that I can think of. I also went back and tried my CS5 version and the same thing happens.

I have recently bought a Canon 650D and I am now unable to load CR2 Raw files in to Elements 10 for editing-it is coming up with a message "Cannot open ....... CR2 because it is the wrong type of file. I have not had this problem before.
View 12 Replies View RelatedI have just upgraded from PSE10 to PSE12 and now when I use the Slide show (full screen) in organizer with Fujifilm Raw files it take about a minute and a half to load up and same again when you zoom in. Is there any way of speeding this up in PSE12? It was slow in PSE10, but it did take over a minute in total.

I installed Photoshop CS6 Upgrade (64bit and 32Bit) to my PC which ran CS5 Extended. When I deleted CS5, Bridge stopped opening files, whether I double clicked on the file or did Open with: I get the same error message.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI process files in ACR and then save them in a folder as jpg I go back to Bridge and when I move the selected RAW files to another folder the jpgs move to the new folder with the RAW files. Even though the jpgs I created are not selected they move to the same folder. The thumbnails in Bridge have a small circle in the upper right hand corner with two tiny arrows pointing up. I do not know what these circles represent or if they have anything to do with my problem. I would like to be able to move the selected RAW files to another folder without having the jpgs moved to this file. Again, the jpgs are not selected and the RAW files are selelcted.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI changed my preferences to remove the check-box "prefer Adobe camera RAW for Jpeg and TIFF files" , restarted Bridge and tried to open a JPEG from bridge directly into photoshop. But double clicking on the image in bridge opened "paint".
So I change the Bridge preferences back to Prefer ACR for JPEG again, restart Bridge, and then bridge tells me that it cannot find Photoshop CS2. CS2 is not even loaded on this machine anymore.
So then I go to the file type associations preferences and "browse" to the CS3 version of photoshop, restart bridge, and double click on a JPEG and it again says that CS2 cannot be found. I change the association again using the "browse" to CS3 and then it opens the image up in "Paint" again.
